Liked the image “Adjacent” and the one after it. The one before Adjacent had a rather bright spot on a rock on the right side of the image that kept grabbing my eye and not letting go.
Have you ever tried waterproof socks? I used to do what you did until I found waterproof socks. Another great video. Love them. Keep up the awesome work

Thanks Courtney, I often wonder if you ever blend your focus for one image, to keep sharpness from front to back? Moreso to keep ferns, ledges or flowers int he foreground sharp as the background? Unfortunately, some locations such as this here in western Canada with waterfalls often will have signage not to walk in the gorge itself (more for safety, as it can be a steep climb down in many locations. Hello, Unless you can see a nice sandy route it’s often safer to put your boots back on without your socks to protect your feet from unseen objects that might cut or damage your sole when fording. The boot won’t absorb much water, will be a bit damp, but will be fine with dry socks after a few minutes. Safe travels.
Your discussion, or description, of the compositions is really helpful to me. Thank you for talking about them and walking through them. You acquired some nice images on this outing which reinforces, for me, your talk about the process. Cheers.
Bravo for using a creative POV for the Blaen Y Glyn image . Images like this, taken from angles above or below average eye level, really tie the entriety of a scene together, the pool leads the eye to the waterfall in the background.
Good video! Just love your waterfall shots. The last one with the low viewpoint is great! The choice of shutter speed is excellent! Another great video from you!

Your videos are always a great Sunday treat! Great compositions in every photo! I felt your video was a little short! Lol, no dancing, left me a little disappointed!!! But I can understand about running out of snacks!!! Have a great week, young lady!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you, Courtney, for such a wonderful video and for sharing your creativity and thought processes about composition. From the first fall, I particularly liked Flow, which had a real sense of depth. At the second fall, in Adjacent the two trees provided balance and the diagonal of the stream also seemed more defined. Blaen Y Glyn was very imaginative with the swirling pool in the foreground. I wondered whether it would work by blending two exposures, a slow shutter for the pool and the faster shutter as you used for the main fall. This was full of ideas for great waterfall photography. Thanks once again. 🙂
Was watching this and thinking "I recognise that waterfall 🤔" and then when you got to the bridge I was 100% certain where you were 😅 it's an awesome place
I do enjoy watching your videos and your shots of waterfalls are great. This is obviously the type of photography that appeals to you the most but it would be nice to see you step outside of your box at some stage and maybe head for the coast or mountains or even the city for a change.
I do have some plans to head into the mountains in the near future actually which I'm looking forward to! I try and dabble in coastal photography every so often but it's not something I enjoy, (at least not as much as other types of photography) but I'll keep it in mind and try not to turn into too much of a waterfall fiend ha! Thanks!
5:49 in - "Waterfall of Echoing Voices," i.e., 'Lanthir.' My favorite. But all were quite beautiful. "Blaen Y Glyn" would've been, if not for too much foreground water foam. Another enjoyable watch Ms. Courtney. I sure wish there were trails of falls like that somewhere around here! 💜
I like the way you talk us through your compositional choices. It's helpful to follow your thought process. You visualize your images in detail before committing them to the sensor, almost as if you were using large format film. Thanks for the guidance.
I like your choice of shutter speed in the last photo. I recently shot a small cascade in a local creek and must have taken fifteen or twenty images at varying slow shutter speeds. All of them seemed too milky and bland. Finally, I looked at my test shot which was taken at 1/30 of a second and there it was. Just what I was looking for.
OMG thats so beautiful. I realize that i live on the wrong place on earth. Here in Belgium there are not such beautiful places with waterfalls. Great video Victoria. Love your work. Please carry on! Greetz from Belgium.
All of these are a wonderful set of images and beautifully processed with real empathy for the scenes. I wished I had come upon this trail when I still lived in the UK. Maybe on a future trip back home, I can explore it for myself.
Excellent job! Great video and wonderful images! You are so fortunate to have access to such beautiful scenery! Keep ‘em coming…and thanks for taking me along!
Enjoyed the video as usual Courtney. Wow what a fantastic place. I like you explain each shot and your reason for it. Keep up the good work. Great image's as usual.
Love waterfalls. I always think that if nothing else I can photograph the waterfalls. I like to vary the shutter speed to get the streaks in the water right.
I really liked the live side by side comparison with the different compositions because it really helped to show the differences. Even though you didn't move too far, to me, the second one with the shorter distance between the cascades, looked more balanced. Great explanation and demonstration!
Great video, as always. You pay attention to composition details. Thanks for sharing your images and thoughts. One of my favorite waterfall shots was actually in your B roll. Thanks again!
I'm glad you like it! I initially overlooked the swirling pool myself but spotted it after walking around for a few minutes. I will quite literally walk in circles on location because I KNOW the first time I look around I will be blind to half it haha!
This was an interesting video of some beautiful waterfalls & scenery, I just wish we had access to places like this closer to home. Excellent photos!! 😀
I wonder how the waterfall will turn out if much slower shutter speed being used. Could the water running down be very silky? Thanks for sharing your great video.
Do you have trouble with the orange camera bracket when trying to attach it portrait to the area swiss connection on your tripod... that gap for the flippy screen means too little bracket to attach... your gap seems smaller than mine for the Canon R5... always gives me trouble. On a separate note... you must spend hours on B-roll :)
Another great vid, and what a location ! Would be interesting to see a blend of 2 or more shots on the swirling one, keeping the waterfall at 1/20, but seeing what patterns maybe came from a 1 minute or so in that swirling foam ?
Hi. I loved your video as always. You seem to find really good spots to take your photos. I loved the last waterfall pic and agree it looked really good with some water action.
Howdy Courtney from Florida USA! The first image, "Flow", is a magnificent capture. When you first went over it, I saw in theta area the squared off rock. Kinda reminded me of Frank Lloyd Wright(I don't know why). Great video....but no dancing??? Keep up the great work!
Nice images! The one with the low angle and swirling water in the foreground could perhaps be even better if you took an image with a slightly longer shutter speed for the foreground and blended it with an image of the background with the shutter speed you had. Then the swirls would probably have appeared more.
