    Simple baetis. Chuck I was out fishing today having a good day when I remembered I tied up some simple baetis (I used Antron) I put one as the tag fly,first cast fish second cast a double it was game on from then on. It got ridiculous but sure was fun. Thanks for the pattern!

    Hey Chuck great day! Surface fishing at times can be maddening but you cracked the code. I love fishing that type of water although it’s very difficult to get them above you for netting.I’m heading up to Pine in a week or so need to stock up on my soft hackle ,maybe a I’ll try some simple baetis. Thanks for the video!

      I honestly call all of PA home. Nothing keeps me from going to one stream over another really. 😂 As long as there's wild trout, I'm willing to go.

    So what was the recipe for the brown simple Baetis pattern again?

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад +2

      It's the simple baetis pattern with a copper bead, rusty brown thread body, wood duck colored mallard flank for the shuck and wing and a tannish super fine dubbing for the collar.

    Another great video. I really appreciate that you show a lot of fishing, not just a bunch of fish in the net; here’s another one stuff, like so many do. You also do a great job with the GoPro. None of that camera on the hat, jerky movements that result in motion sickness for the viewer.
    You always catch a lot of fish, so probably not fair to offer a suggestion. However, it does bother me that a lot of your drifts are made with line not under your trigger finger. From my viewing, it seems that most of the time you miss the hookset that is the case. When you set with the line not under your trigger finger, I often hear the reel click, which means you’re putting some slack into the system, even if only momentarily.
    Keep up the great work. I don’t really get RUclips algorithms. You always emphasize Liking the video. How is that important vs subscribing?

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад

      I appreciate the compliments with the camera work. Thanks for watching!
      I use my trigger finger if I'm not managing line with my other hand. Usually I don't have any line out to manage when I'm fishing closer to myself and right out in front of myself. I like using my left hand to control slack when casting upstream or further than right in front of me. Although you hear the reel they are solid hooksets still. I do like that you've possibly picked up on a trend though with me losing more fish when you hear the reel. That's interesting and I'll keep that in mind.
      As for the RUclips algorithm it works more so based on interaction with your videos rather than someone's subscriber count. So a lot of likes and comments makes RUclips recommend the video to more people.
