    Really like your method of switching flies out. I tend to get into a rut of using the same two flies.

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад

      For sure! I definitely have been in that rut before and it can be hard to get out of.
      Thanks for watching!

    Nice Video Chuck, the only thing I noticed is when you fight the fish Once hooked, your hand moves above the Cork area giving the fish the advantage. If your Fly Rod is balanced, and keeping your hand on the grip during the fight, you should be able to let off or pull back when needed to keep tension to the hook! Great footage, beautiful river and check your footage to see if what I observed contributed to the pop offs! I saw it in the Part 2 video as well! Looking forward to more great videos!

    Another banner Spring day on the water for you. Those browns look very healthy. Nice job navigating the higher water. Really appreciate the fine commentary. Looking forward to part 2 of the video.

    Loved the video. Great river flow. Beautiful surroundings and day. Remember fishing is all about patience. That's why a bad of fishing is better than a good day at work. Keep up the good videos Chuck.

    Nice video. How far out can you fish with your euro rig? Sometimes I fly it hard to get across to the back seam. Any suggestions? Do you consider going to an indicator to react further? BTW I like your stone pheasant!

      Thank you. I mean, I can probably cast it 30-35 feet. Fishing it at that distance depends on a lot of things. The depth of the water, the angle you're fishing it at that distance, etc. I wouldn't say you can fish it very effectively at that distance, but you can usually get about 10-15 feet of a decent drift in 2-3 feet of water. 👍

    I feel your pain with all the hook spitters the last couple vids. Ive had the same issue last couple times out id lose 2-3 for every one landed. Im starting to wonder if its actually the higher flows giving the fish a little more advantage pulling,tugging,twisting and spitting the hook 🪝🤔 🤷‍♂️ not that it matters cause they just get released right back but we all know its nice to land,look and release. 🙂

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад

      Yeah I think the higher flows does help with losing more fish.
      Thanks for watching!

    Are you feeling the take or do you see a hesitation in your line

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад +1

      It's probably a split 50/50. Sometimes you feel it sometimes you see it.

      Blowtorch, olive perdigon, any sort of soft hackle flies, and brown nymphs that imitate cased caddis.

    Not sure if you realize this or not.....when bringing your fish in you should not hold the rod above the cork, you might break your rod off! Someone pointed this out to me awhile back!

    • @Brownsylvania
      @Brownsylvania  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it's a bad habit, but lowers the rod to help be able to reach the fish and I've never broken a rod like that so I'll probably do it until I do.
      Thanks for watching!

      Thank you! No, I live in SW PA. I drive anywhere from 45 min to about 3 1/2 hours to fish. But central Pa is about 2 hours 45 mins for me too.

    Hey Chuck! Great video beautiful fish. Landing fish in that high fast water can be tough,I went out and bought a longer handle net for that reason.I love the flow of the water in the video. Keep the videos coming!
