Samuel H Boardman was Oregon’s first state park superintendent. Known as the Father of Oregon’s state park system, hence, why his name is memorialized as part of the state park corridor. Been loving your adventures up the west coast!
Hi Russ, thank you very much for these wonderful videos, America is so beautiful, when I come home from work I travel thanks to you, God bless your travels and the USA!
You've probably mentioned this at some point, but what's great about the Oregon coast is that it is entirely public which means free access to everyone for the entire length of the state.
Beautiful video. Everything is so different from where we live. Love seeing the ocean, tall trees , rocks and high elevations. So,so different from our flat lands. Thanks much. ❤
We can't thank you enough for having your channel! You help us think about where we might move once I retire because you give so much information on each area where you go! Thank You! You make us feel like we're behind the wheel and walking because oof your great video angles!!
Just surprised my hubby with one of your RVerTV hats. We just started to watch this episode and I paused it, brought the hat out, gave it to him and said “oh, by the way, Russ came by and said he wanted to give this to you “🤣 Because we live just off Hwy 101 in the Hauser area north of North Bend and know that you’re probably close to cruising through this area. Perfect timing! Yay! Love the channel! Safe travels!
53 years ago was our last trip to Gold Beach and riding the Rogue River mail jet boats to Agnes. I did this with my parents when I was a teen in high school. We also went on this adventure a few times when I was a girl as we had relatives in Northern California and Oregon.
GOD BLESS - UNITED STATES AMERICA - RUSS - RVerTV FANS. WE LOVE RVerTV - BEST TV ON RUclips. HAPPY TRAILS - U.S.A. - RUSS - RVerTV FANS. Thank you Russ.😎😎😎😎
Well Hello , Ricky and Jamie here! We are offering you a spot to stay and park for a few , whenever you come to Pismo Beach, Ca. We love you and your show !!!!
You had this video up several days ago. I got a chuckle out of the part in the video where you are at Cape Blanco and you said the wind was blowing and how Cold it was. I noticed you didn't linger on the story boards at all. I normally stop the video and read the story boards. But when I stopped the video to read the story boards, it was just a blur. I really did get quite the laugh. By the way Cape Blanco means, white coast in Spanish. In fact it was a Spanish ship off this coast that named it White Coast. Also another fun fact Cape Blanco is the western most point along all of the Oregon Coast. 😅 Thanks for a little bit of humor. While I am waiting on my 6 dental Implants to heal.
The Mary D. Hume has seen better days. In her final years she towed large log booms from Olympia Washington north to Everett. See came by our beach cabin on Puget Sound on her trips. She had a very unique sounding engine that propelled the boat at a crawl heading north with the tow. My Dad went out in his boat and was welcomed aboard by the Skipper for a ride. My Dad was a competent boat boat builder so after a few rides he had pictures and some measurements so he was able to build a scale model from scratch. It’s stick built like the real thing, it’s a work of art. It’s a shame the Hume has rotted to the point she has. After it returned to Gold beach under its own power, It was to be a static display but something major broke on her when they tried to pull it from the water. So there she stayed. How very sad to see it now, a think a Viking burial would have been more appropriate.
Russ, thanks for the trip up the coast. We just sold our summer home in Florence last summer after a 12 year run.... I can't tell you how many B&W pics of the coast line I have. It's wonderful to visit through you .... Thanks.......... Oh, BTW... were back in Bullhead full time 😳
When the kids were little they called the pointy rocks out in the ocean, "the shark teeth rocks" - (ie; first video beach walk ), . You can see them from miles away and they do kind of look like that. Subsequent trips up the coast we'd look forward to seeing the shark teeth, lol. Notice the dark sand. It's some kind of volcanic sand I think? On a side note; The Curry County Fair in gold beach starts the 24th 27th of july.
Beautiful bench views including the Arch Rock. However, Oregon needs to trim their pathways for the tourists. Your right that boat appears to have a very short lifespan if allowed to continue to decay. Great Ocean pictures, Russ, I too, enjoyed seeing the beach. Thanks for including us with your travel.
Oregon needs to trim their pathways?Every day when I'm in the Samuel Boardman corridor I have no trouble finding trail that needs to be cleared and improved.
is this a new one. ?I get so confused with the way that RUclips puts them into my feed. I thought I saw one where you were up there last summer. I do so enjoy watching all the lovely places you go. Thank you.
Do you play the guitar did you do that intro I love that guitar playing sounds so good 👍 the one in the Vedios when you pause and just play the music and films around that one
Hi Russ, we enjoy watching your videos. We are planning a big trip from San Francisco to Seattle up the cost road, how many days do you think we should allow for the trip. Thank Mick and Louise from England.
Update 8/1/24. Those scenic pullouts on Hwy 101 just North of Brookings filled with RVs staying there for weeks. They are all gone and those pullouts are blocked with cement barriers or piles of crushed rock. Sad but true. They became so messy and a sore sight coming into town. Now, no one gets to use them. But there are plenty of sites along with 100 mile Wild Rivers Coast where you can enjoy a day at a beach.
Oregon is both now on pumping gas. They will pump it for you or you can go to the self-serve island. Not all stations are both yet as this law is still new. Great video Russ, I grew up in Brookings nice to see videos of it...thx!
Even though I live on the beautiful far Northern California coast, I still prefer the Oregon Coast. California lets too many rich folks buy up their coastline and post "No Trespassing" signs everywhere. Oregon doesn't do that.
Are you going all the way up the coast? If you are, I have a suggestion for a very scenic, fascinating, and rarely filmed 1-mile hike in South Beach. It's called the Mike Miller park. The road leading to it is just north of the entrance to South Beach State Park.
Wow can’t beleive the RVs parked and living there Anytime we RV up that way and stop along the coast they move you along REAL QUICK. What’s happening to Oregon that camping on highway 1 is now ok…. Maybe they crawled down from Portland to boondock for a year 🤔
America has been blessed with a wide diversity of nature 🎉. Thanks Russ.
Yes yes it has

You've probably mentioned this at some point, but what's great about the Oregon coast is that it is entirely public which means free access to everyone for the entire length of the state.

Hey Russ safe travels what beautiful weather thanks for sharing the video.
17:58 "There are campgrounds everywhere around Oregon." You're right, Russ. Most of them are in and around downtown Portland.
Yep
I was wondering about all the RVs living as Russ said on highway 1
Boondockers from downtown Portland ?
I can name at least 5 within a few miles of gold beach. Lobster creek is a good one
GORGEOUS!!!!
I have spent many summers on the Oregon Coast but I have never been to Brookings. Thanks for the great video!
This continent is amazingly beautiful so many different environments

Hello
Russ! Good travels! I hope to get up that way in my new camper this year. So inspiring!
I'm thinking about taking this trip at the end of September.

We call that plant a “red hot poker!”
Hi Russ, we enjoy watching your videos. We are planning a big trip from San Francisco to Seattle up the cost road, how many days do you think we should allow for the trip. Thank Mick and Louise from England.
How many miles do you have on your new van now?
Come on over the Columbia river and head into Long Beach
You must check out Natural Bridges area next time. It's near that 350 ft bridge

I saw Brookings on the map 10 years ago. I've wanted to visit this place ever since. This will probably be the closest I'll get.😢
I can't find RVerTV stickers or color pencils for the coloring books in the merch shop.
Do you travel with a passenger or are your viewers the “we” you usually voice? Like your videos btw!
Even though I live on the beautiful far Northern California coast, I still prefer the Oregon Coast.
