A song has NEVER made me this emotional before. In all honesty, it didn’t really affect me that much when Rick May passed, but hearing this song just made me realise what a hero we lost, and reminded me how much I love the Soldier, and TF2 as a whole.

what TF2 has
- weapons that will either get a laugh or a "wow!"
- competitive spirit that doesn't leave one team completely outraged and has a chance to disolve to make room for a conga line.
- characters with personality beyond "gun wielding mercenary that for some reason is either Russian or American"
- a community that rarely has any in-fighting over something minor.

When I first played tf2, my first ever class I chose myself was soldier. He had that patriotic charisma, which I liked. He had funny voicelines, an funny emotes. When I heard that he passed away, I thought they were joking. They weren’t. This song is gonna be stuck in my head, for a good reason. I visit his memorial every week. Rest In Peace soldier.
