I'm not the type of guy to get emotional easily. But this song... man. I still remember the time when I would hop onto my computer right after school to play team fortress on cp_orange, finally getting premium account on a certain christmas, browsing the tf2 wiki page to see what cheap hats I should get, spamming chat in trade servers, learning rocket jumping, becoming obsessed in trickstabs, building sentries in 2fort sewers, laughing when something ridiculous killed me, falling in love with these goofy characters and how creative the community is, hanging out in death run, prophunt, spending new years eve in parkour fortress... 3000 hours in and still having fun. Thank you Team Fortress.
I am a soldier main, I remember teaching a newbie at soldier how to do better, taught him some of my tricks, taught him the basics of rocket jumping, then soon, he became even better at the game than me, and to this day, I am still friends with him. edit: i've been getting a lot of replies, just a ps i don't play anymore since i don't have a pc capable of running games at the moment, i stopped playing just around a month or two after this comment, i apologize folks, have a great day and i wish you all the greatest of luck

I think it’s the same if the Halo community were to lose David Scully or Jeff Steitzer too soon. Both are iconic voices from the franchise (even though they don’t do much in terms of voice work for the series), and we’d remember the various lines both have uttered over the years.

TF2 is a special game, it has huge Community. It flourished as a community because of what WE ourselves did. Valve laid the foundations and we built upon it. Sometimes, Valve decides to add more, and we add to that. I love TF2, and in the near future, I will come back to this, and smile. I take pride in the fact that even though the dev team doesn’t release updates too much nowadays, the game still goes strong.
Thank you for being part of the 1% who are supportive of valve and don't call them a million names they just made up. Without people like you the community would just become a complete sinkhole, dragging the game down and shortening its infinite lifespan.
I was playing a payload server, another soldier noticed I was rocket jumping wrong, he told me how to properly rocket jump, and when I followed his instructions, I finally flew sky high and got over the structure I wanted to get over, that was the day I became a real soldier

I feel one of Team Fortress 2’s driving forces (that keep the game alive), are the characters. The diversity, the fun dumb logic, their personalities, how well they interact with one another. Definitely not the only thing keeping the game alive after all these years, but an absolute key factor.

Oh man, all TF2 players come here eventually to leave their two bits. This game is a massive part of all of our lives... I can't express my love for this game in one comment, I have been playing since 2015 and throughout all our challenges we have survived, and will continue to, I have no doubt. I remember from my first game to TF2 Minecraft trading to now, this game is amazing and it's community is one of the strongest if not the strongest communities I have ever seen or had the pleasure of being in. I feel one of Team Fortress 2’s driving forces (that keep the game alive), are the characters. The diversity, the fun dumb logic, their personalities, how well they interact with one another. Definitely not the only thing keeping the game alive after all these years, but an absolute key factor.
