Been fine for a year until now lol
Yo hamza how's ur day?
Had to happen
Well what did you expect
standard affair electric water pump issues, nothing to see here, damn near a maintenance item for 60k miles for N54 and N55
N54 life
Another great video TR.
What I love about your content, is that you are not afraid of filming things that don't go to plan.
You're just a normal bloke who makes content about his everyday car goals, and woes, no punches pulled.
So many channels just post the same old thing, but you are different. Keep doing what you do mate.
Cheers mate appreciate the kind words
Maybe controversial, but I like the blow off valve. Adds a good bit of character, especially now the rest of the car is stealthy and stock looking.
Who wouldnt ? lol
I changed an electric coolant pump on my friends n54 once. Not a bad job to do. A few patience is all you’ll need.
❤️ your content mate, just feels wholesome entertainment and rate that you show us good and bad times.
and you fit stuff yourself 🤜
335i deliberately did this to get more content out of you 😂
Check the main power supply in the boot, battery tray gets full of water and it rots it, also that is where the water pump takes its power from
This thing looks good not gonna lie, I like it, lots of surport from South Africa bro 💪👌🔥💥
FYI in the future be a little careful with stuff like that leak that was happening at the end from the coolant! It can blow up and you'll end up burning your face or your arm off. Happened to a mate who had a BMW, opened the bonnet, seen a little smoke coming out, tried fiddling with the lid and it blew up all over his arm - ended up burning his whole skin off.
But awesome video in general.
Just found your channel excellent content and very informative. I currently have two BMW ‘s e36 m3 Evo which I have owned for 15 years and a 2015 F13 640D msport. Keep up the good work!
I can't remember from past videos but double check the engine ground strap on the passenger side of the engine bay, it decays and falls apart and can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins and 'false' codes. It should be shiny and flat mesh but if it looks copper/green/brown and has expanded and looks round it needs replacing.
Picking up my 2009 n54 next week. This video gives me great confidence 😂
The reason I found your channel was this car, seen all the vids since. Glad to see it back, working or not 🤣
Been waiting for the n54 content, finally here, can't wait for the next vid, bro,n54 life all the way
Watching your disappointment with n54 ownership at the end cracked me up. Got the same feelings here brother.
Can’t have a BMW without cooling issues. Part of the fun 😂.
So far so good with the b58
So true lol
@@armedessential even the b58 have cooling issues
@Darren Boston 🤣
B58 stage 2+ here lot a miles no cooling issues!
Let’s go, nothing can stop you G 💪 get it back on road
Shame it broke down. There’s always some drama with a BMW . I sold My MK5 R32 and bought a 1 series coupe instead. My ride has been bulletproof so far . Great video as always mate . Love the BMW content. 👍
From experience you're looking at either the battery and tray has a moisture issue which has in turn killed your pump off mid drive or its your actual pump has died both very common but gladly both easy to do yourself on stands and won't break the bank. Good luck nice to see the e92 back on the channel 👍🏻
Love the car and ur content 👍
Great videos, keep them coming 👍
Looking good! “A leak I didn’t anticipate” gotta love BMs ALWAYS full of leaks we don’t anticipate lol. Not a real BM unless it has the factory option of “leak from every gasket and seal possible”
Top video lad. Atleast when they run right they are rewarding. Blow off valve is 💪🏼
Mashallah, nice to see a brother doing something different and chasing a passion. Really enjoy these kind of car videos even though I don't get it.
I'm a maths teacher by profession but always loved cars. Must be the asian blood in me who knows lol.
Love my one, with ebay 17t turbos and vrsf inlets etc, pulls straight up to 7000rpm, stock turbos run out of puff at 5300rpm
Wouldn’t be a BMW without cooling issues. Mate of mine has had them all E30, E36, E46. All had cooling issues.
Bull
Literally how my 335i experience was lmao
I have literally just had to solve the same issue on my 335i too. I had to address error code 2E7C - BSD data bus communications fault. It affected, the battery intelligent sensor, oil level sensor, and the electric water pump…. We changed the water pump and thermostat and the car is good again…..for now since it’s a 335i…I love it really🤣
Keep it up bro, your content is brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻 it makes brings me back down to reality and remind me I shouldn’t buy projects 😅😅
Love to see more content on this car!!
Great to see N54 content again! there's no water leaking into the boot/battery tray? I remember the guys over at zero to 60 had an issue with a water pump on one of their 335i's caused by corrosion on a electrical terminal in the battery compartment
Yes ! Same Issue here, mine just wouldnt start due to Battery Connections to body completely destroyed. Check yours out Hamza.
Yikes. What a flaw to have.
If the water pump is electric and you’ve got a flat battery stick it on charge bro. Maybe the alternator is on the way out? 🤷🏻♂️
Good shout, I had a feeling it was electrics related primarily, will do some digging into it
@@TRHamza I hope it’s an easy fix for ya. I love the 335i 😆
Ah man you looked well frustrated at the end. Hope it's nothing too serious and you get it sorted soon 👍🏽
Welcome to N54 life bro
Worth checking the alternator output too. I said on your live yesterday. If it goes over 16 volts the car shuts down all modules and put the dash lights on. It does this to protect all the ecu’s etc. worth a look.
Yup had this happen to a friend. His car would randomly go into limp mode! I ended up swapping his voltage regulator on the back of the alternator, pretty easy to do! Also since hamza has the leak from the oil filter housing it probably leaked onto the regulator! Thats why its going into limp mode!
Will be troubleshooting it in the next video; ordered a few bits like the voltage regulator. It behaved exactly like you described and there was no coolant leak so agreed it likely is all voltage related
@@TRHamza hopefully that will sort it and be an easy fix! Looking forward to the next video! 👌🏻
Great vid, love the pov, it only sounds slightly ricer. Sad break down. I hope you can sort it soon 👍🏻
I love the clean look!
this guy really be destroying cars left right and centre 😂😂😂
I’ve seen that dejected look after fixing what needed to be fixed then something else comes up. I got some coolant issue going on preventing me from dailying the car. It’s been on my quickjack so many times. Still like to fiddle with the N54.
joys of a n54, brings back memories
Does your 335i throw a check engine light due to catless exhaust? My E90 throws a check engine every 60 miles since I've put a catless setup
N54 life lmao best way to avoid issues is to never drive it 🤣
Chatter on my LWF on my e46 was awful...did have poly trans mounts and chassis mounted shifter though...glad I went Back to dual mass
How does that shifter feel. I've been eyeing one up myself.
How's the fuel consumption with all the mods on at the moment......i love that BOV btw it sounds amazing
where you done steering wheel in alcantara?thanks
My e90 N52 water pump has just gone as well. Won’t bleed, No will have to get one, around £250 with the thermostat.
good content bro
Salaam bro when you put a new battery in your BMW make sure to register it. It's important to do that
Thinking about getting 1series bmw but it's high mileage 14000 miles worth a look or stay away good vid matey
150k SUBS is near
You will defo need a waterpump, common issue on these but can also be damaged when not bleeding the coolant right, maybe when you replaced the coolant bottle. With the electrical issue the car is more than likely due a recall which is to do with a battery cable onto you front fuse box. They have a poor connection. Get that sorted at bmw first free of charge!
The blow off valve is cool
If it runs out of puff at 5000rpm why does it have the twin turbos ?
First 15 seconds summarises typical N54 ownership :D
Clean car! What’s the front lip called?
Subbed just for the Pigeons
That's good you overheated.
money pits, but the bits between the usual issues always make me smile,on my 2nd one now, seems i didnt learn.
Consider some intake duct scoops to help with temps into the dci filters. The ducting no longer pulls vacuum going with dci
intake scoops are proven to be the most useless mod. and the car has coolant temp issue due to an electrical issue, not intake air temp issue. the "hot air intake" thing is a myth on a turbocharged car like this. air gets heated by the burning hot turbos and then gets cooled back down by the intercooler. it has been proven over and over on many cars in the 500-1000whp range
@@ahw5hcgfyj cooler air into the compressor is always more efficient.
@@nickrbhrt7931 clearly not efficient enough for anyone to care. as i said nearly everyone making 500-1000whp is doing so without a cold air intake
I went DAW S2+ and haven't regretted it, ik ppl have gd luck with ebay 17t/19t but I just wanted a bit more insurance with mine since i was paying a garage to do them. The electric water pump, thermostat and hpfp are annoying on this car, and i feel it is just luck of the draw with them. I look forward to seeing what you have planned in store and its nice to see the E92 back on the channel.
im on 17ts, i love them. it really all comes down to quality oil, and not running like 23+ psi. people also forget you need a full exhaust so the thrust bearing doesnt wear out prematurely
@@joelmayorgaa I don't doubt they are reliable, providing you are sensible and do mods such as that, however in the UK it is hard to pass Inspections with exhausts like that unless you have connections due to strict emissions regs and rules, and let's be real, idk anyone who can be sensible and not run more than 24 psi on twins 😅
@@lyanryons7355 definitely, i did the turbos myself though and i dont want them to blow up because of how much of a pain they were to do lol
Any update on the volvo
Hey, been following your content on and off. Just wondered if the 335i was back to life? I'm still considering buying one of these over a 435i! Just prefer the styling!
Water in the battery tray in boot or water in ecu possibly
Speedtech top mount turbo kit n 335d coolant resistor relocation n your done...
That e92 looks nice.
You are so light hearted, build a car go for a blast car blows up, is what it is I’ll sort it next video.
Have you thought about making a garage or like a car port at home to continue working on your cars
what happened to your spoiler?
Hey you've done you wheel same as mine. Royale?
N54 hell, yeah.
It's a BMW, both my e39's need fixing at least every 3 monrhs, but then you have trouble free motoring for the next 3 months, hence I have 2, just to stay on the road 👍😁
Turning Ls into Ws such a sick car 👍
Got a new shape e92 if your interested hamza maybe could use for parts or anything
You should get a m135i pre facelift shape those are cheap now £9-£12k
hey what happened to the 335i?
Gutted for you after all that work. I just replaced the charge pipe on my N55 335i which was a pain also!
I love the VRSF exhaust - where is best to source one in the UK?
Its a sign bro. That RS3 wants a TTE700 😬
Does anyone have any ideas how to make that stupid sound of the doors closing? It sounds like closing a crap car, any ideas maybe filing the inside with something?!
Hiya fella, what happened to the 335i?
Sweet bmw
Selamunaleykum hamza kardeşim turkiyeden ben sorun nedir tam olarak bende eskiden n52 motorlu x5 vardi cok probemli motordu egzamtrik sardi silindir kapaginda da bujilerden 2 gozde catlak vardi n54 lerde bunlarin turbolusi diye bikiyorum simdi e60 530xd m57n2 motor şükür bunlar cok sorunsuz
Any updates?
You seem to be setting a trend off here 🤣 atleast it’s content 👌
What happened in the end?
Stock turbos taper off from about 5k, need something like the 17t turbos to maintain boost all the way to 7k
Assuming its the electric waterpump, it's a good idea to upgrade to Mosselmann thermostat. Alternatively just turn sport cooling on MHD options.
Damn third car in just few weeks, what is going on :o, at least more content :p
That Japanese blow off valve will be the most reliable part on that money pit.
bro this has alterantor voltage reagulator written all over it, same shit happened to me relatively cheap fix too!
What a car
Bleed it if it don’t then check it if it does check your alternator
Hamza what happened to this car ?
I was going to say electrical when the Speedo dropped like that
Yeah I think it’s all linked, the battery is pretty new but I’ll have to check it all
Also one of the fault codes showed voltage at 11.2v ….. too low,,,,,
Got to disagree with you on the power above 5k. Mines stage 2+ and it pulls extremely well up to near redline.
you have upgraded turbos or you're lying lol
@@ELUSlVE nope. But I do have silicone inlets so that helps a bit. Turbos are going on soon though 😎
When will we see an F80 again😍
BMW's don't like to be called cheap. It will make u pay for that. It are great cars unless u don't maintain them well. they need regular oil changes, with proper oil. The higher end motors need additives / v-power every once in while. These cars come down from 80k to 20 in only a few years, thats 60k like 8 years, and generally they need maintenance by then, on a 20k occasion you should calculate 5 k of repairs and then you are good to go for a couple of years with around 1-2k of repairs/maintenance. Honestly its a steal. especially the 3 series diesels with the 6 in line can go on forever if u maintain and drive them well.
Hi, can anyone tell me what app he is using to read the codes?
Mhd
N54 life 😅
There's a reason these are 'good value' 😂
Mine did this 2 times in one day was water pump or somet
