Why did I just spend 38 minutes of my life watching someone clean the interior of a car??? Because I always learn something from M539.
Why dont u watch it on x2 playback speed?
@@Vjekoslav-vf3hr i learned the proper way to adjust my ebrake on my e39 from this man
@@Vjekoslav-vf3hr if u x2 speed your life, u ưill only have a half time to live.

Fun fact: the fuel tank smells like... fuel!
always love when you can learn something from RUclips
“Okay, now that you’re disgusted we can proceed”. I love this channel.
Also, I agree with you. Always stay OEM. Keep factory look, keep factory wood, factory rims. Nothing beats original.
Yeah totally agree, for this car the original is always the best
Nah, nice aftermarket exhaust like Eisenmann, some BBS or OZ wheels and sports suspension can make this cars look even nicer. But more than that, I would not change
I agree to stay OEM, but in the specific car I would change the wood trim to OEM brush aluminium trim. Personally I like the wood trim to cars like E38. Anyway it has to do with the personal taste of each person.
@@mixoulas ahh that’s a good point. Swapping OEM wood for OEM aluminum. That would look good on this car
This guy is really underrated he deserves to be one of the top rebuilding channels, much respect
He deserves to be the top restoration channel actually. No one comes even close to his work.
I can never understand how people can live with such a dirty car, glad to see it's all nice and clean now!
The people who thrash their cars are also the ones who say they “bought them to get from point a to b”.
as a detailer, some cars make you wonder what their owners homes look like..
Can't stand having a filthy car interior, I feel bad when it's a bit messy with some dirt on the mats and a few things in the pockets and then I got into someone's else's car and it was 250x worse with sand everywhere and sitting on wrappers and sticky things yuck and it was just normal to them
To most people cars are just an applaince that they dump every 5 years add in laziness and mwa la
One word. Kids.

M539 Restorations comes into BMW dealer*
The part sales man:
"Ah shit, here we go again..."
I would expect that he loves it! He must do well from selling those 700 Euro undertrays that no one else buys.
Dude, they most love him. Do you know how expensive some trim pieces are for BMW's? It's amazing that they are available at all and BMW is one of the best at this, but it's ridicolous money.
*dealer gives an incorrect part
"You picked the wrong part fool!"
@@toby9055 for that money i would made them out of carbon myself.
@@borutgoli840 not original
"Carbon fiber towel" has me rolling every time
it is carbon based material...so he is practically correct
I thought I heard that too but I think he’s saying cotton fiber towel. We’re used hearing carbon & fiber together so that’s what we think we hear. He’s familiar with carbon fiber, he talks about how he dislikes his trim pieces not being that material and his looks nothing like carbon fiber
Micro fibre
It's disturbing how much I agree with your philosophies - to hell with piano black, generic wheel finishes, carbon fibre, vinyl wrap and all that other aftermarket garbage! An M5 should go like a scalded cat but still be upmarket!
And Piano Black is a fingerprint superconducting magnet too!
Yes I too can relate. Until it comes to forced induction. Then the answer is always YES PLEASE!

If I may offer a tip: I use a similar extractor (and it really does work great for the price) but never put cleaning solution into the tank. I use a separate sprayer for solution, then use the brush to agitate, then only hot water in the extractor to use as a rinse. I rinse and extract as I go until the water going back into the extractor is clear and free of suds. I'm not saying that's the only right way to do it, but I've been really pleased with the results of that method, and never wind up with sticky carpets. I'm really enjoying this channel! Tsus!
When are we going to hear the boom beats and see the tow truck again?
I have a mytee lite 3 and I always use plain hot water to suck it out. I use a brush on a DA and a "professional" steamer, as well as a Rupes Nano ibrid sometimes. You can take it to the extreme!
I agree for me it takes a while to tidy up an interior. And exterior takes me time too.
I guess I suck and would be fired.
But it can be a lot of fun.
Great videos, didn't watch this one yet but we should all buy a sweatshirt and support our star!
I had lost your channel and forgot the name. Glad you commented here so I could find it :D

I breathed a sigh of relief when he did finally find the Bosch light again. That poor thing has survived so many projects, been dropped into too many car fluid pools... it'd be a tragedy to lose such an invaluable tool!
Haha, yes. Tough little light, needs a nickname 😅
Took me 45 minutes to find it and it was right in front of me. 🤣
@@M539Restorations If I had a pound for every time I've done that with my inspection light then I'd probably be able to afford an E60 M5...
Didn't expect a Bad Obsession Motorsport reference when I started watching. Well done.
The mess is from a can of soda that exploded inside due to heat from sitting in the sun. I've had to detail a car that had that happen.

When I'm interviewing for a new employee, I check out how they keep there car. It doesn't matter how old, just clean, like windows, no garbage on their dash. A good insight to prospective new employee.
Actually interesting point… what kind of company you work for?

I'm a carpet cleaner. 22:36 Tip: you have to soak a little bit more the carpet. So the water and cleaning product can penetrate the carpet fibers so the vacuum can suck all that dirt better . Its like cleaning clothes, u cant clean well a shirt with just a bit of water
14:00 Are you sure that the hub caps are lined up with the m-logo’s on the wheels?
Think you should change that shifter knob as well to get that "new car" feel.

Watching from Northern Ireland loving the channel . Keep up the great work
Oh God thank you for turning down the wood haters! Personally I love wood trim on BMWs and wouldn't even think about replacing it with anything else, just like you said.
13:40 maybe i'm wrong but new tires has red and yellow dots on sidewall, red dot indicates heaviest part of the tire and should go to the opposite side (must line up) of the valve stem on alloy wheel. Yellow dot MUST be next to the valve (heaviest part of rim). That way you need less weight for balancing ;)
All ot my life I've thought that I'm the only person on this planet who hates freaking carbon fiber and vynil wraps!! You just made my day! Awesome content!!

I just cant stop watching M539 Restorations. The weird part is, while I always loved the appearance of BMWs (that stopped with this generation, I adored project Dubai!) I always really disliked the entire interior so I would not want to own one. I guess its just fascinating to see somebody prevent all the previous hard work and energy from being crushed and dumped, and oppositely CREATING pure value by what he does.
For that alone sir, you are a legend to me and Im happy for the BMW lovers who get the double bonus of you saving cars they love :). I wish there was a "you" for Audis ;).
That wood trim is beautiful! I am happy that you keep it.

“ Mission success, I should be in a Tom Cruise movie “…. Comedic genius!!!!
Sreten, may I suggest LCI door panels, they refresh the look of the interior.
I would suggest: CIC navigation system from late LCI, and LCI climate module with that nice new trim and volume button :D
I think a tip for removing e60 door panels is appropriate:
Just stuff your Philips head plus sign type screwdriver into the trim button cap and remove the screw like that. Instead of trying to pry off that tiny little screw beauty cap/cover. Easier to do that than possibly Dent the panel. It's a couple dollars or euros for the screw cover. When you're done futzing with the door you can replace the cap. Or leave it off! =) or have just the right thin tool with a tiny lip. It's doable. But it could possibly Dent the panel no matter how good you are. Like e31 headliner panels won't come off without breaking clips unless you somehow get lucky from what I have seen.
@@spencermaiers8322 Never had a problem removing the screw caps cleanly on my E61 with the standard cheap plastic trim tools.
The best part of your videos is that you are also educating people on how things should be done.
Your definition of restoration is the gold standard we should all aim for.
Like Star-Lord said: "If I had a Black Light, this place would look like a Jackson Pollock Painting."

You know, seeing how that ''white stuff'' was also in that dome light, i'm starting to think you got mold in that car? Seeing the state of the interior it wouldn't surprise me,
No mold anywhere nor does it smell like mold.
@@M539Restorations Oh okay, well i guess it was just an orgy in there then.

Milk shaking Momma.
If you want to check for mold, look where there is high moisture buildup. The evap core in the ac system. Can pull out the fan and shove a boroscope camera to get a look. Also the easiest way to spray a evap core cleaning foam there. Raleigh typically has high humidity in the summer, perfect breeding ground for mold growth.
