This week we bring you our part 2 visit to Arai EU headquarters & something very special. A massive thanks to Arai for allowing us behind closed doors to film this.
I chose Arai helmets years ago because it fit my head the best. That's a major concern, you need for the helmet to grip your head with equal pressure no pressure points and no slop either. No one manufacturer will work for everyone
Though I agree, it is rare that an Arai won’t work for someone. They offer 3 different shape helmets to fit different head shapes, 6-7 different size cheek pads, and 3 interior crown sizes as well as adjustments on those interiors. Not saying it can’t happen, but it is rare that none of those options work. It’s usually only when someone needs a 3XL or XXS that no Arai will work for them. They need to be professionally fitted though, which is something not everyone has access to unfortunately.
Guy here in N Ireland in the 80’s told me “ $10 dollar brain, buy a $10 dollar helmet” So I bought a Arai Wes Cooley rep, it saved my life in 92, even though I spent 2 months in a coma, so thank you Arai.

Crazy to see how much testing goes in to making sure Arai helmets are as safe as possible. Definitely puts you at ease knowing you’re in safe hands. Best of luck for this weekend, Jonathan✊🏻.
I bought my Arai in the beginning of 2017, a discontinued Chaser V model in Electric Red graphics. The best purchase I’ve ever made. I’ve never crash it although I know if happens I’ll protected, but the comfort and the acoustic refinement is incredible. Worth every penny.
Used Arai helmets for quite a few years and never tested them till recently. Came off at about 80 mph and landed head first then slid . 3 separate impacts on the helmet judging by the damage and walked away without so much as a head ache. Replaced the damaged one with another Tour X4. Good to see those tests and interesting to hear of the manufacturing process that saved my head , cheers JR and Arai

Always Always had Arai helmets but my last one was just not upto my expectations in quality I've since moved to Shoei which is a great helmet, I do have to say I miss those great fitting n quality Arai's I had before after seeing this great video I will reconsider the Arai even though there so dam difficult to purchase in Perth Western Australia

Just found your vlogs and been working my way through the older videos, fab and varied content! Important to mention that any helmet (bikes, horses) should be replaced after an impact of any kind, technology has developed meaning that the naked eye can’t always see or appreciate what damage has been caused to the protective layer and the protection may be less with an another impact 🧠
I could also see it causing a force concentration in the round area that impacted. A 5 pound ball peen hammer at say 10mph and a 5 pound plate at 10 mph create the same force. But the hammer will hurt a hell of a lot more if it hits you.

Love a Wednesday for a wee RUclips video and great timing my little boy just got his first helmet this week but still unsure of wearing it as he’s only 2 😂 but he loves going out on his Peewee ( with mum 😂) and now he thinks he is great and keeps telling everyone the “Motorbike man” (You) sent him it 😂 when he sees this video he will believe it even more 😂
I must say I find my Arai so comfortable. And most of the lining is removable so it can be washed. Removing and replacing the visor is still a challenge though.
Purchased a new lid recently and tried on the arai rx7 but unfortunately just wasn't compatible with the shape of my head so had to go for another brand. Beautiful lids
Best fitting helmet for the shape of my head. I don’t understand, a friend of mine born in Canada, more Italian than his parents owns 21 AGV ROSSI REPLICAS. HIS FOREHEAD IS ALMOST BLEEDING AFTER 1 hr. Horrible fit but it’s Italian and Rossi. I usually buy the 2nd from the most expensive simply because the top one hurts me, the other one is perfect. I guess you guys get custom made ? Also always loved the quick lens swap. ,h
I've been wearing Arai for 40 yrs now But have to say they are a touch noisy now with wind noise. I have a 7V 2020 And Arai please change the chin vent design they break after 5 mins wearing them But in a crash they are awesome 👍
They use neck braces in styles like Motocross/Offroading, but not many other places. The airbags used in motoGP etc may provide some support/protection to the neck during a crash though.
Very informative as the saying go you pay for what you get they are the best hamlets most of the top riders choose Arai. Just as you know Rea I’m disappointed with Kawasaki for not giving you the bike to do the job I was hoping a new motor not more revs I know Kawasaki is being hindered by FIM but it should not be that hard you’re still the Goat of wsbk Kawasaki is satisfied with 6 wsbk championships They should have given you the weapon to win this 2021 ZX10RR is not powerful enough look at the riders in BSB/ AMA / they need more power plain and simple
You're probably selling them quite a few helmets. I for one have never even thought about getting an Arai as I wasn't familiar with the brand but I could now. Need a new helmet at the moment as it happens.

Yeah but why is it that Arai only has a DOT and Snell rating when now a lot of other brands are pushing for ECE 22.06 and FIM? arai needs to catch up and not only rely on hype based on name only
Arai the only way! No BS, just purposefully crafted safety device to protect what matters most. I high sided with my Corsair X and walked away like nothing happened. Thought I did not even touch ground with my helmet, but found some knocked off paint, so must have. That JR highside smashing his head is insane, and definitely reassuring my head is in best possible helmet money can buy!
Johnathon your team have cost you a lot of fans protesting to the superpole race. Toprak beat you hands done fare and square. I wonder how many times you went beyond track limits at the weekend. I certainly won't be watching world superbikes anymore because of this. Even the Eurosport team say "you" were the only one who saw that. And all because you're not winning anymore. if its safety first for all riders why are companies still arseholes ? share the tech/patents all build 1 design with best visibility, visor hardware, using the best material for the lowest price due to the high volume and custom mould the polystyrene liner to riders head or 3d machine it. all this current shit way of working needs to end now in every sector of industry.

The best helmets money can buy. I had a huge highside in 2015 and I think my Arai helmet saved my life on that day.

Arai helmet saved my life in a freak accident I had in 2019. Have now recovered, I am back on the road and I've bought same new Arai helmet again.

Also less bouncing if you roll. Irregular shape bounces off the ground more.

Iv just bought a new Shark helmet but this has really made me reconsider my future purchases.
Any of the FIM homologated lids are likely as safe as any other, IMO. (not sure if your Shark is FIM or not)

When they make a helmet with internal sun visor I might consider one... until then no.
They say that internal visor impact the safety. So you wont see it on Arai
