Unfortunately since I published this video the Tremor has had a ton of problems. It's been in the shop monthly since posting this, and I am considering selling it for another vehicle. Update Video: ruclips.net/video/dP01OwL1W5A/видео.html
sorry to hear that its making me hesitant on buying a Raptor because i hear some people having problems with there truck and its just not Ford its everybody else as well
That sucks, I was really considering this Tremor over the new TRD PRO Tundra because of the lack of tow hooks, but now that I think about it I could just install them and problem solve.
Good review. I got my 22 Tremor last weekend. The 402A package has additional tow hooks as well as power folding mirrors that you can program to automatically fold when locking the truck. That was one of my must haves in addition to ventilated seats.
I'm a muscle car guy, and I never even considered trucks until recently. This is the first review that has made me seriously consider an F-150 out of all the other options. Fantastic job! Love the every day man aspect of it
Have a 21 402A loaded with everything and I have zero complaints other than wanting 50MPG but hey it's a truck. As someone who has been in a raptor and know people who own them I went for the Tremor because the raptor is a truck 99.9% of people will never use for what it's made for. Everyone who owns them tells me how much of a pain in the ass they are to fit in parking spots and they are worse in every way to a tremor for normal everyday functionality. They are an expensive "TOY" and nothing more. Don't get me wrong they look nice and sound good but the Tremor is an everyday truck that can still do some impressive offroading. I truly believe Ford nailed the look feel and sound for the tremor. Can't stop getting compliments and neck breaks from people passing by. Also, these things in sport mode are insanely quick so much so that I can hang with or pass most sports cars which is nuts. Love this truck and got my 10 year extended Ford warranty to make sure I can love it for 10 more years. cheers
Calling a Raptor a 'toy and nothing more' is a bit silly. They're still 100% of the truck of the Tremor. Just because they're slightly less practical due to the size doesn't take away from the capability of the truck. Say you like the Tremor and leave it at that.
@@CrankyBuddha It is a toy thus it being a truck built for 1 specific kind of use. It's towing is one of the lowest in class (6-8000 lbs) for full size pickups making it a "worse" truck than the average truck in 2020+ for towing. It also, has one of the lowest load capacities (max of 1400) in it's class for hauling anything in the bed making it "worse" than the average truck. You are just upset because it's a toy( a fun one no doubt) but acting like it's anything more than a toy is insane. It's not meant for everyday use. It's meant for rally off roading which is why it's so wide and has lower totals than the average truck for average truck uses. Get over it bud. There's no shame in owning a Raptor.
Excellent video review. Perhaps the best I've ever seen, loaded with small bits of insightful info no one else tells you about, and only a user would likely think of mentioning. Worth the watch! The only reason I'd consider a fully loaded Platinum instead of the Tremor, something I have been thinking of doing, would relate to how important I think the massaging front seats and maybe 3 mpg improvement available on the Platinum are. In so many other ways, the Tremor is better. I especially like the spring shocks on two of the wheels (I think front wheels), while the Platinum has leaf shocks on all four wheels, and the extra 1" width and higher standard lift or road clearance of the Tremor. I agree the lack of center tie downs in the bed sucks but secondary, and surprising the side mirrors aren't powered though I wonder if they can be on a different Tremor package if there is a higher one than this one. Funny but the fold down front center console flat work surface available on both Platinum and Tremor is my favorite feature, the main reason I am only considering the Ford pickups and not a competitor. I would use the flat work surface a lot, for many reasons, but mostly to have easier view and access to use my laptop in the vehicle as a mobile set up. I love the mostly all black interior color here. I saw a white exterior Tremor that looked awesome, but I especially like the black and dark grey exterior. For me, I am likely going to get a fully loaded Tremor, instead of the Platinum or Raptor.
I love your review! An actual real person is making a review. The Tremor looks awesome! Thanks for posting and I just subbed! Oh, and Puyallup over here! Lol
Wow she's a beauty everything you need and everything you don't need love it!! You're absolutely right about the Tundra that is incredible no front tow hooks what in the hell your truck is perfect and you're right nobody's pushing a Raptor to its limit.
Hey buddy thanks for your review, I am looking forward to mine coming in next month. One quick tip, obscure your plate, wouldn't want someone to spoof you.
If you think lane centering is nice, get the 401B! Blue Cruise not only lane centers, but will come to complete start and stop, as well as being completely hands free. My Tremor has been amazing. I'm super glad I gave it a shot after a really bad experience with my last Toyota.
I came from a 17 mustang GT, I feel you on the second stalk on the right for the wipers def miss that, I have a 402a and the mirrors do fold with touch of a button or auto fold when you turn off the truck through settings as preferred, good take on the truck
Ford is doing some incredible shit nowadays. Bronco, F150, F150 Tremor, F150 Raptor, Maverick and Lightning. Hopefully they don’t drop GT500 but I love the direction they are going in.
Raptor is a much bigger truck and the towing rating is only 8000lbs with a 1200lb payload. The Raptor is a huge truck. It’s 10 inches wider than an F150. The Tremor tows 10900lbs with about an 1600lbs of payload. And it’s better on trails being smaller. The Raptor is good at what’s it’s designed to do, which is desert running. You made a better choice with the Tremor. Edit: the Raptor is 6” wider not including mirrors. I looked it up again.
Honestly I thought your complaints were legitimate man and they are things that you might not even think about when you're looking at a truck while you're in the process of purchasing it so I appreciate it
I ended up ordering a 2022 402a with bed utility group(for the tailgate step and extra box link tiedowns and lighting)and tow technology package for the 360 cameras. I added factory spray in bed liner and interior work surface. I was totally pissed about the mirrors too. You can literally build an F250 lariat with 7.3 gas motor and 10 speed trans and add tremor package and get power mirrors and power deploying running boards for $5000 less than my F150 built at 69k. I don't need that much truck and it won't fit in my garage. Thanks for the great review!
All the bed options seem like a mess, Crazy I have the lights and tailgate step, but not even a basic tie down in the middle... Cool that you got the work surface, that's the thing I think I'm missing most on mine.
@@daedalus9042 yes 2022 build page is completely different. The bed utility group puts all the bed options into one package instead of being a la carte. Still bummed that F150 made tremor a trim level instead of an option like Ranger and Super Duty...would be nice to get a Lariat and pay 5k for Tremor package..would have saved me money 💰 🤑 💸
@@daedalus9042 I would just go to your dealer and buy the Ford factory box link system. I made sure to order that from the get go. The bed already has the removable panels where you install the box link tie downs
The manual folding mirrors is my biggest ding against the truck! As silly as it is 🤦🏻♂️ I'm so excited for mine to get built and delivered. I wish the raptor transfer case was available for add on with the 401, having 4 auto would be so nice as an option! Great review again! When are the off roading videos coming?! Lol
I agree, the 4A would be great on those days with patchy snow/ice. I think my next truck will definitely have that optioned. Will mostly be just driving in a bit of snow to get to snowshoe trails. Once my favorite trails start to clear up in May-June I'll be out there again! Plan on doing Stampede Pass here in Washington soon as it melts, I've done it with my Ranger and motorcycle (videos on the channel), so it's almost tradition now.
TY. Turn signal, windshield wiper, high-low lever, typical of Ford installing parts from former years. Ford is also stingy with light for visor mirror - small, but annoying manufacturer cost cutting antics.
Raptor uses the same motor; it's just tuned for more performance. I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe you could retune the Tremor to the same specs as the Raptor. Also, the power folding mirrors only comes on the top package (High) from what I understand, but I agree with you 100%.....it should be a standard feature.
Good point about the Raptor addendum also Ford never has incentives on Raptor and does have rebates or special financing on Tremor and for commercial customers, Raptor can’t be invoiced as fleet but tremor can be. Having owned both, I’ll take Tremor over Raptor any day of the week.
Nice walk through, thank you. Are you planning on adding the ford Boxlink connectors to your bed? You mentioned you wanted more tie downs. Another question, did you get the Torsen front differential? For 2023 it's a separate option, but did not see that option listed in the beginning. Was it part of the Tremor package for your model year? I ordered a non-tremor 2023 FX4 RCLB with payload package so I can carry a camper. Wish tremor was an add on package for different cab sizes.
Got my 2023 Tremor two days ago, 402A pkg. For $75K I thought it should have rear wheel liners, it looks incomplete, I feel they are necessary to protect the underside of the truck from snow, salt, rocks and dirt. Afterall, it was $75K after X Plan. Love the truck tho, the dealership will have my wheel liners next week, extra $$$ of course!!
I want one of these so bad, wish they’d open up the engine options on them. I’d love a raptor too but I do need that towing and payload like the tremor. I have onboard air with a train horn plus lights on auxiliary switches, the air is handy
Great review man! I actually haven't heard anyone mention the windshield wiper handle before, very good point, I'll miss it for sure as well. Been waiting for mine for 6 months, hopefully that damn chip gets installed soon!
@@daedalus9042 I have a 150. I can press the button on the shaft to get the wiper to go once. If you hold it,the wiper fluid comes out. I assume your truck does the same, because my truck is a 2017. It doesnt make sense to remove that feature, so yours probably has it too
@@daedalus9042 Revieing your footage, i am almost certain your truck can do individual, operater controlled wipes. The button is built into the end of the stalk/shaft by the wiper speed dial
Great review! I have a 401a on order, should have it soon. One thing worth mentioning is the towing and payload capacity vs the raptor, you get almost raptor off-road prowess with much better towing abilities. Edit: you mentioned this at the end lol
I think all 4x4 trucks/SUV’s should come with tow hooks up front. Actually any full-size truck. 2wd trucks should come with them too, they are more likely to need to be pulled out
600 miles on a full tank is impressive. You must have been going 60-70 on the freeway most of the time? My tremor only gets around 400-450 with mixed city and highway driving and I have the extended range fuel tank as well.
My 2022 Tremor fully loaded with 36 gallon tank gets roughly 420 to the tank with mixed city highway. I hear other people getting wild mpg and I'm here thinking I have a gas leak... 13.8 mpg average
Have a '19 F150 crew 4x4 with extended range tank and ecoboost and almost every time I fill it it says 700 miles to empty. But I live in a rural area of the country where I can drive like I want and not be pushed by the masses. I have found its how you drive more than the engine/mpg potential. Lots of people like to drive with the pedal mashed and they pay for it. Slow down and enjoy life.
I agree the tie downs or lack of is a head scratcher given how Ford seems to have everything covered. I love the GM bed toe downs. Points. There are several and most important to me is they have them in the middle.
Looks dope bud. Also the raptor looks dumb. Love the Tremor. Just ordered a King Ranch but Just for the Powerboost. Gonna do some painting and mods to make it look more like a Tremor.
Do you think, that maby next time can you mention how much human weight or weight the tonneau cover if setting on top. It can hold. Thanks! Nice lookin truck.
Its almost like Ford forces you to get there best to be able to receive all the features you would think are in a WORK truck. Not hating on this truck its definitely a great truck but i hate when you pay over 50k and somehow the small everyday features just disappear. Unless of course you shovel out another 10k
How’s the ride quality of the F150 tremor compared to the Ranger? I have a Ranger right now but thinking about upgrading to F150 tremor after watching your videos.
Appreciate the review but, correct me if I'm wrong here; besides the General Grabber tires and the dual exhaust, couldn't this review have been in regards to any F150? I was hoping to get a feel for what specifically makes Tremor worth thousands more than a standard F150 4x4 crewcab 5.5 box.
Thank you for this great review!! Your Tremor is really cool. My question is how is the turning radius on it. I have a 2008 ford 150 xlt and it’s turning radius is not too good IMO - I’m looking to a new ford so was curious about that. Thank you!! I like the travel setup for dogs too!!
Thanks! The turning radius isn’t great, probably comparable to your 2008. I find myself doing a lot of 3 point turns around town on normal city streets. It does have “trail turn assist” which makes the turning radius smaller, but that’s only for use on dirt roads.
@@daedalus9042 thank you so much!! That really helps me out! I’m not in a city but drive a lot in town so very helpful info!! I’ll keep watching! Good content!
I really like it. I haven’t owned a V8 since 2008 though. My last 2 vehicles have been turbocharged, so I might be biased. Overall I’m happy with it though.
I saw you have the 401A pkg, how do you like the seats? Im not sure how I would like that digital camo pattern and I have not seen this pkg in person to judge the seats. Seems like all the dealers get in the high 402A pkg with the leather seats.
Random question…what exterior lights on the 401 are halogen? Just figuring out if I need to order led license plate bulbs as well as leds for the high mount rear cargo lights.
Awesome review. I love the truck and thinking of buying one for myself later this year so this is helping a ton on making that decision. Can't wait for your other vids. One thing I was curious about was whether you have rust underneath on the rear axle/driveshaft/differential?
Picked up mine a month ago..& I placed my phone on the floor and recorded while I drove over it few days ago and yeah....I have rust on the differential....looks superficial though...when it gets warmer I'll crawl underneath & hit it with a wire brush...but I was surprised as heck..rust on a brand new truck...smh
In my winter tremor road trip video I have some shots under the truck when I check for the recall issue. I don't notice any significant rust on mine yet.
It’s a shame that the Titan comes standard with LED headlights and bed lights, and can tow more for less money. The American automakers have been putting the screws to the customers for too long.
If you don’t mind. How much the OTD price of your truck? Cuz, im in the market getting a new truck. I Talk to Toyota dealership about the 2022 tundra limited crewmax 6.5 with jbl premium audio, Trd off road package and heated steering wheels. Otd price is about 64k. (My budget is 65k) After I see your truck now I have second thought….
I got this around $62k, don’t want to dig out the paperwork lol, that’s before state taxes and licensing. These start around 50k MSRP, and max out in the mid to high 60s. This one is optioned right in the middle.
There's a dealership in Iowa, if you're not against the drive, that's been offering 3% below invoice on orders. Basically 10% under MSRP You can get a fully loaded high end~73k for 66k. I ordered the 401 package with essentially everything except torsen & things easily added aftermarket (bed liner) it's priced around 63k but after the discount it's 57k I am a10hr drive from the dealership but worth the savings imo
@@natephillips1696 Granger Ford - the deals been going on since Oct'21- really good group to work with. Chip Gaines has been the main POC there. I haven't heard it's ended yet but worth checking out. In a nutshell, if you're interested, use the ford builder online-build your truck out- print the summary PDF and email it over. He will price it out and send back for approval/adjustments- once it's good to go it's $1k deposit down (goes towards truck) and a pic of your driver's license & good to go.
I’m 95% sure they’re not functional, but now you have me questioning that lol. Check my channel later today, I’ll post a “shorts” video of it up close.
I like the black, I feel like it balances out some of the over the top styling of the truck. You’re right though, very hard to keep clean. I only wash my truck 3-4 times a year though 🤷🏻♂️
@@daedalus9042 thank-you for getting back to me, your truck is really nice looking, 4x4 too right ?? we had an f 150 with the eco v6, great gas mileage until we pulled our cargo trailer with our atv in it, i have a 2016 silverado 1500 z71 off road edition, 5.3 v8, 9100 lbs towing, 4x4, of course, crew cab, black out edition, summit white with 2 tone black stripes and 22 inch black wheels, i love my truck
Don’t lie to your self there’s no raptor anywhere in the us for 65k that price is for base model to be realistic any raptor available at this moment in the market is priced MSRP 82k and up plus any dealer market adjustment …
Yea that’s the point I was trying to get at. People say a fully optioned Tremor is more than a Raptor. Fact is nobody is getting a Raptor under 85k right now. I’m seeing some over 100k in my market.

Nice informative video, good job
Thank you!
great review!
Thanks!
Tap the button on the end of the washer arm for a 1 time. Blade sweep
Great review! I have a 401a on order, should have it soon. One thing worth mentioning is the towing and payload capacity vs the raptor, you get almost raptor off-road prowess with much better towing abilities.
Edit: you mentioned this at the end lol
yea I remembered to get that in at the end lol
I think all 4x4 trucks/SUV’s should come with tow hooks up front. Actually any full-size truck. 2wd trucks should come with them too, they are more likely to need to be pulled out
All F150s do. Not just Tremor. Just front though, not rear. But most people I know use the 12,000 pound rated tow receiver and a shackle in the rear.
Great review.
Thanks!
600 miles on a full tank is impressive. You must have been going 60-70 on the freeway most of the time? My tremor only gets around 400-450 with mixed city and highway driving and I have the extended range fuel tank as well.
Yep, my range is similar to yours during normal driving. The 600 was on the way to Los Angeles from Seattle, all highway at 70ish
Yea I'm kind of shocked they're missing some simple tie downs in the middle.
There is a button on the cap of the wiper control arm/blinker. You just press it and wipers come on or hold it for water plus wipers.
The bottom is in the end the size of a quarter.
That’s awesome. Thanks for the info!
Just figured this out in my 12 the other day. Complaining for 10 yrs about why they didn't have that quick wipe. 🤣
Looks dope bud. Also the raptor looks dumb. Love the Tremor.
Just ordered a King Ranch but Just for the Powerboost. Gonna do some painting and mods to make it look more like a Tremor.
Thanks! Hope you don't have to wait long for your PB!
@@daedalus9042 thanks! Ordered in November. Expected in June. 😆
@@jasonepos just in time for summer!
The missing 12V in the console, and the missing wiper stalk are really good points. Weird that they didn't put those in.
they make boxlinks handles for 40 bucks and you have double the tie downs and you can remove as well
Nice truck!
Thanks!
My passenger side fog lights stopped working. Not sure what happened. 2021 with 3000 miles. But really like the truck.
Sorry to hear that, at least it's minor, and should be easy to fix!
Do you think, that maby next time can you mention how much human weight or weight the tonneau cover if setting on top. It can hold. Thanks! Nice lookin truck.
If I remember it was 400lbs for the model I had. They have some that go to to 2k
I can sleep in the back like that?!finally something different than the couch! Lol
Very good Real owner review. Does you’re partner have the same likes and dislikes as you? Awesome Truck!
For the most part, it’s a bit bigger than she likes, and doesn’t like driving it in the city, but besides that she enjoys it.
Wish I could find one for MSRP the lowest markup around here is 5k. The dealership down the street is marking it up 10k. I’ll just keep my AT4.
What area are you in?
Its almost like Ford forces you to get there best to be able to receive all the features you would think are in a WORK truck. Not hating on this truck its definitely a great truck but i hate when you pay over 50k and somehow the small everyday features just disappear. Unless of course you shovel out another 10k
tremor can tow more. ANNNND can get a 5.0 in it. you can add a warrantied supercharger and hang/beat the new raptor R.. this is the way to go
How’s the ride quality of the F150 tremor compared to the Ranger? I have a Ranger right now but thinking about upgrading to F150 tremor after watching your videos.
It’s better than my FX4 Ranger. My friend has a Tremor Ranger, it’s probably similar to that, maybe a little better.
La chevi es muy bonita pero solo eso la Ford es única inigualable sofisticada preciosa y poderosa absolutamente la mejor
The styling (including skid plates), 33in tires, switches, and upgraded suspension is really the only difference from a normal F150
All F150s have pathetic turning radius. Terrible
There’s 4 more tie down brackets in your truck…..you just have to order them on Amazon 👍🏼
Yea, just wish it came with the truck lol
I’m just gonna go for the Raptor bro
It would be nice to know about the tremor package. This is more like an F1 50 review.
What do you think about the engine?????? I had my eye on one but when i found out it wasn't a V8 i got turned off
I really like it.
I like the seats. Just posted a up close look at them on my channel under "Shorts". Check that out if you want to see them closer.
Random question…what exterior lights on the 401 are halogen? Just figuring out if I need to order led license plate bulbs as well as leds for the high mount rear cargo lights.
Thanks for the video. Is the Tremor only available with the Ecoboost?
Yea, only available with the 3.5 eco boost.
The upgraded 3.5 ecoboost with 400 horsepower if I hear that right beside the raptor’s 3.5 with 450 horsepower
@@darrenfike924 it comes with the normal 400hp 500ft/lb torque 3.5 Ecoboost, not the 450hp ecoboost that comes in the Raptor.
Dude, this with a front level and maybe a two inch lift on 35s is all you really need. And a tune. Lol
And front winch. And mud tires.
Super fast truck
The mirror covers should also be metal like he body for that money.
Do you still recommend this pickup as daily drive
It’s a shame that the Titan comes standard with LED headlights and bed lights, and can tow more for less money. The American automakers have been putting the screws to the customers for too long.
If you don’t mind. How much the OTD price of your truck? Cuz, im in the market getting a new truck. I Talk to Toyota dealership about the 2022 tundra limited crewmax 6.5 with jbl premium audio, Trd off road package and heated steering wheels. Otd price is about 64k.
(My budget is 65k)
After I see your truck now I have second thought….
Basically 10% under MSRP
You can get a fully loaded high end~73k for 66k.
I ordered the 401 package with essentially everything except torsen & things easily added aftermarket (bed liner) it's priced around 63k but after the discount it's 57k
I am a10hr drive from the dealership but worth the savings imo
@@StayQuok what dealership is it?
@@natephillips1696 Granger Ford - the deals been going on since Oct'21- really good group to work with. Chip Gaines has been the main POC there. I haven't heard it's ended yet but worth checking out.
In a nutshell, if you're interested, use the ford builder online-build your truck out- print the summary PDF and email it over. He will price it out and send back for approval/adjustments- once it's good to go it's $1k deposit down (goes towards truck) and a pic of your driver's license & good to go.

are those hood vents just decoration, or are they functional?
non-functional :(
@@daedalus9042 aww man... i had read they were on some f150 forums, but i had my doubts. still looks really cool though.
I’m 95% sure they’re not functional, but now you have me questioning that lol. Check my channel later today, I’ll post a “shorts” video of it up close.
I stand corrected! They are functional. I can feel like less of a poser now that I know they’re not just for styling 😅
Video is up on the channel
Does the 401a come with the bed step ?
Don’t believe it does. For 2021 it was a separate option, they changed it a bit for 2022, I think it’s bundled with something else now.
How do you like the color? Black looks good but to hard to keep clean
I like the black, I feel like it balances out some of the over the top styling of the truck. You’re right though, very hard to keep clean. I only wash my truck 3-4 times a year though 🤷🏻♂️
@@daedalus9042 you have any rock chips yet? I have a lot of my painted bumper, really annoying. It's a 2020 F250 Tremor. Thinking to trade for an F150

ceramic it or cover the front in plastic

It’s the 3.5 ecoboost (V6). The only engine option for the Tremor trim.

How many miles you have on your truck how long you plan on keeping man 500 to 600 miles alot
Almost 4K miles. I’ve kept all my vehicles for at least 35,000 miles. My last one was closer to 50k. We’ll see about this one

Yah thats completely false. We have dealers that give known customers MSRP no problem. West Coasters get hosed.
Is it supposed to be a competitor to the trailboss
Yea, and AT4
What exhaust is that??
Factory Tremor exhaust
What you get that out the door
Never shoot a video near a stream. Da
Too much talk about the Raptor! Why didn't you buy one?
Tremor is a better daily than Raptor

V6. Fuck that truck.
