My kids asked me to tell them a bedtime story tonight. I asked them what it should be about. My daughter said that it should be about a cow. So I told her a story about a little cow with a sore hoof. When I got to the part about the sore hoof my daughter said, “and the hoof GP came to help her!” I told about how Graeme and Craig came with the crush. And then after I described trimming her hoof my daughter said, “ohh, she’s gonna need a block for that!” 😂😂😂 so congratulations! You now have kids’ bedtime stories about you!

Hearing the cow start peeing and seeing the splatter, and seeing how gp just keeps talking to us just reminds me this truly a labor of love for him
I also got s0 involved I shook my tablet to move a piece of stray pealed hoof. It didn't work. I love these videos showing how much you do for the girls by caring.
I've flinched in past videos when a stray piece of hoof flies off!! 😂

Aw Graeme, I watch these regularly but don’t comment. You’re such a canny lad and I love the way you treat these cows as though they’re your bairns. It’s really lovely. It’s such a good thing to know that people like you work hard in the industry that is so often blamed for things, such as global warming… ridiculous! We need to go back to the way things were, when everyone looked after each other, including our livestock, as well as we look after ourselves 💖

That final shot is a great example of the hoof minus the bottom layer. You have the wall horn, and you can make out the corium with the thinnest layer of new horn, other than the sore spot. The outside and inside claws give you good visual comparison of internal and external anatomy, IMHO. Great trim Graeme.

Couple of year ago I had a massive abscess in my groin and I literally couldn’t walk, it was that bad I missed my dads passing away as I couldn’t sit in the hospital, and when it burst I actually collapsed with relief, how thaws cows manage with. This kind of thing is amazing

A few years ago I came across "sheepishly me" channel and she helped me through a great depression I was in after losing my husband. When I found your channel it helps me as well seeing you truly care for those beautiful animals. Like I said I am not a farmer but just an old lady quilter. Keep doing what you are doing.
