- Ganzo Firebird G Lock Disassembly with Closeups
In this video we will disassemble the Ganzo Firebird G-Lock. The G lock is very similar to Benchmade's AXIS lock and both are equally challenging to take apart. The tools required to perform this maintenance on your Ganzo G-Lock are: Torx #8 and #6.
Thank you for watching my Firebird Ganzo G Lock disassembly video.

Just bent my springs! Huge improvement
Thanks for making this video, I learned a lot from it.
Great tutorial!! Thanks for sharing! Got my sticker in the mail today and it now resides on my review table!
Thanks for displaying the sticker JB.
Nice touch with the different camera angles 👍
Thank you Ron, I'm glad you liked it.
That spring is an easy design and very functional imo . Long as lock up is decent . Nothing like a back lock or whatever it’s called . If it’s in expensive knives it s good usually . Hoping all this knife competing makes companies do better and not make us pay more than we should . I m not a big fan of donating extra $100 to the CEO fund for a “nicer” knife but I do like some of the kershaws , don’t we all ? I don’t take part the kershaws yet . You ?
You can’t beat Kershaws at any price point.
Thanks for the effort. Great training vid for many of us.
Great job, both on the video and the knife. Definitely not a beginner's project. Not just because of number of parts but also because of (a bit) soft screws and the use of thread locker on some of them.
Yeah, those soft screws and loctite drives me nuts. Thank you John.
Nice work !! 👍👍👍👍
Thank you keifer.
Great information, show and tell. Thank,Jay
You bet Harry, thanks for watching.
Yeah, my first knife disassembly was on a Ganzo G Lock. I thought I'd never get it back together. Wish this had been out then. :)
This would be a tough one for a first disassembly. I've had knives like that too, where I would take it apart and it would stay that way for a couple months. Thanks for watching David.
Hi Jay . 👍👍🔪
Nice video 👍👍🤙✌
Thank you Richard.
If you ever get bored let me know.. I do not mind sending you around 80 knives for service! 🙃 haha!
Hello do you know what size the ball bearings are? Im looking for a replacement but cant measure the bearing. Thank you!
Nice video of disassembling this knife, cool stickers as well would love to get one if you still have any. Will send email just in case you still have any. Keep up the good work!!!
You bet David. I got your email and will send you a sticker right away. Thanks for watching.
Stainless steel screws are also not very magnetic.
You skipped the part where you remove a scale screw on one side and the screw on the other side spins freely because you can't get to the spacer to stop it from turning.
That was just to save a little time so the video wasn't too long. Thanks for watching Don.
What do I do in this situation???
