      Cheers for the Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my best friend Jordan got cool results with it.

      Just wonderful, I've been looking for "how do you draw an iron in golf?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Reyuhaffad Underlying Recognition - (search on google ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to revealing an effortless golf swing technique minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.

Ever heard of - Reyuhaffad Underlying Recognition - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good exclusive product for discovering how to revealing an effortless golf swing technique minus the headache. I'd be happy to have a good-hearted debate about the right way to teach golf. I'll open the discussion with "there isn't one right way". Try to help people get better, don't try to make money.

      Why don't we teach 5 year olds grip?
      Just hit the ball. Your subconscious won't let you fall, just hit the ball. Most swings are built by what you don't want - the monster slice comes from aiming left and getting mad at slices. If you want to get better think about the physics. Just. Hit. The. Ball. Learning to hit a golf ball is alot like learning an instrument. It takes practice. Bad habits await, Pros will sell you short-cuts. Just go hit the ball.
      Once you have a consistent strike we can talk about shape and launch and turn and lag and impact angle. Learn what the face feels like, then ask for refinement. The golfsmith "I want to swing like Adam Scott" method is insane unless you're 26, flexible, and athletic. Most people are none of those things.
      Your method seems more muscle-memory, Ledbetter style. That works for one specific player. He sells insurance, plays 300 rounds a year, and hates his wife. He will never be a plus. He can get to about a 2 on the only course he plays. Don't teach that guy. Teach someone that wants to learn, not just to practice. It's an instrument. Learn, don't just practice.

    i am 32 and have been on one golf course.
    since the masters, I've picked up my left handed clubs which I salvaged from the garbage, and have been hitting the ball in the field across the road.
    this man has been a true voice in my head, i hear his guidance while I'm executing out on the pitch. thank you so much for opening me to the technical aspect of this interesting game, and also thank you for helping me learn something new, which - at this age - is always a true source of joy!

    I know this video is five years old, but I just started playing and I have to say the simplicity of explaining how to hit the ball , as well as using auxiliary tools (i.e. hammer) to visualize, it really helps remember the technique when in golf course. Very practical in your teaching approach, and very helpful! Thanks for great vids!

    Just watched this ahain after probably the worst day with my iron yesterday. Decided I needed to get back to basics. Went out today with a 7 iron and some balls and watched your video. The first few shots I hit went about 20 feet but then I started bringing it back farther and increasing my speed and man what a difference. Looking forward to getting out in a few days. Im turning 60 in a few days so I dont expect to hit really long but think my consistency will improve greatly. Thank you. Thank you Thank you!

    Such great advice.... start on a small scale. Works for beginners and also for golfers who may have lost their way slightly (like me).
    If I hit a bad shot at the range, my automatic response used to be to try and hit the ball harder. Before you know it, I’m shanking everything.
    Now, if I hit a couple of bad ones, I dial it back. Hit 5-10 half swings and get that compression feeling back.
    Really really sound advice. Love the mallet idea too. Thanks so much for these videos, Adam.

      I go about 4-5 times a week to the driving range before work, good thing is I have the golf course LITERALLY opposite my flat!!! I can hit the ball FAR and 80% of the time straight now BOTH with my irons and Driver but my issue at the moment mainly with my driver is slicing the ball and it goes way off to the right!!!! I can get it going straight on most hits Just keep practicing!!!!

    Best advice I've been given is:
    - if your driving, aim behind the ball.

    Prior to this I always just tried to smack the ball.

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 года назад +1

      Doyle,
      The lower the number the less lofted the club is (5 less lofted that 8, for instance), and the farther and lower the ball travels.

    I played a lot when I was a kid never could hit a driver well but always had good irons. I stopped playing for a while because I took baseball more seriously in middle and high school and that also consumed my summers I’m now done playing baseball and me and some of my buddies from high school have been playing a lot of golf I played about 15 rounds this summer which is more than I had since I was 13. I really lost the feel for my irons and that is what kept pissing me off as I started to play more go to the range more I was able to figure it out a bit. This helped thanks

    Thank you so much; this helped me a lot. I got my grandpa's old confidence irons; they are Tour Plus editions. Some people call them blades, and they say since I just started golfing this month, I should get more forgiving irons. But I love the feel of the clubs and honestly, they are my GP's and they shined up really nicely, so I am partial to them. But I don't want to handicap myself with them. Do you think they hurt my game?

      Chris,
      Id go to a club fitter with launch monitor, see how they perform against newer clubs

    Great video I'm a new golfer. not been on a golf course yet, just got my left handed clubs( I am right handed but swing better on my left side) . I think they are like 5th handed down, but they seem to be really nice for what I paid.
    What I like about your video is I don't see HUGE wholes in the green. I dislike that a lot. I will be watching this video again and again, and using a camera to watch what I do. Thanks for the lesson.

    Thank you so much! I’m probably the worst golfer around. I watched this tutorial, forgot everything I’ve ever learned and only practiced this. My first nine hole par 3 I got 2 birdies, and 2 par. My over all score was 3 over par. Thanks again.

    Any videos of COMPLETE golf swing ? From grip , how and when to cock wrist in back swing and when and how to release hands in down swing ? Does every club require to point at your belt buckle? Iam a new player who was hitting consistently with a baseball grip and instinctual swing . Since people have changed my grip and where my club should be and how to get a longer backswing I can hit the ball at all and when I do it cuts left . Can't seem to go back to the way I did before and can't find any help on RUclips

      Thanks for the comment. At the risk of being pushy, I offer complete in depth video courses at my home site of www.scratchgolfacademy.com
      I agree that although there is a lot of good content on RUclips it's hard to find more than pieces of info here and there. If you sign up for the website I hope you'll like it.

    Hey I’m a beginner (17) and I make consistent clean contact but my swing is extremely stiff (I keep my wrists and my arms as stiff as possible to keep my swing return in the same path as it was in backswing. Is this an issue? And if so, what can I do to improve it? Thanks, Tyler

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 года назад

      Tyler,
      Stiffness, especially in the wrists, reduces club head speed. You'd need to make some smooth swings and soften things up, there is trail and error involved.
