I struggled a week ago where I sliced everything. I discovered your video, used the foot powder and hit twenty practice drives into a net Wednesday night. Also set the driver to LESS draw. Thursday I played a course I had never played before that had water on almost every hole. I have never driven the ball better in my life. I hit many fairways and the ones I didn't the drives were still playable. I was hitting long and straight to a slight fade. Hitting the driver well made golfing fun. I am very grateful and appreciative for your videos and will be watching more!

I used to play a pretty big draw, but it would occasionally turn into a block, or a hook. I stepped in a bit closer to the ball, which promoted me to swing a little steeper, and exit more left. I can now work the ball either direction, with not near as much curve either way. It has changed my game. Low handicap players often start getting too flat, and around. I’m glad that you addressed that issue. Great video!

The first 3 seconds of this video have taught me much by studying your swing frame by frame, over and over. A few more dozen times and I will move on to rest of the video and to the sagely insights that I hope will help me evolve my swing towards yours! After working though many of your lessons following my terrible tablesaw accident (almost losing all the digits on my left hand) last January, I am now down to 6 and loving my golf more than ever (and playing the piano again!). A very big thanks from Sydney, Australia - Dave PS. All the best through this difficult time.

I have seen a lot of videos on golf instruction and I just love the simplicity here. That downstroke movement at the beginning from the top may just bring my already fairly straight driver swing together. I say that because that first move downward has not been talked about and explained enough. I get the hip moving forward as long as the upper body stays behind the ball just as you do. It also applies to your irons but there at least you can break that line going forward toward the ball...thanks much !!

I decided to try this drill out at the range a few times and just see if it would help . Not only was I hitting my drives straighter but longer !! Averaged 230 with my 3 wood and getting 250 plus out of the driver . More I get use to it the longer longer the tee shots are getting . Being close to 50 years old this is very impressive for me to see . Thanks a million !!!

Imagining I'm tossing a bucket full of water was what finally made the concept 'click' for me. Fantastic and thank you!

You do a great job at illustrating ideas with props and drills that can be easily understood by a beginner.

Hi Adam, I'm fairly new to golf, got a set of old clubs, had a few games and been to driving range. Thinking of getting some lessons to see how I can get consistent, do you think that's a good way to go about or what should I be my focus besides getting more golf time? Should I invest in better clubs since I'm 6'4 and my clubs don't feel they fit?
Many thanks for your content, love the simple tips you put in place, very helpful.

Thanks. Keep at it, and yes, if you’re 6’4” getting properly fit clubs would likely be a good idea

I’ve watched all of your videos but this one is one of the most clear videos to fix a flaw. Thanks a lot I’ve just realised why I was slicing all the time my driver.

Played today after watching this video and almost completely eliminated my slice. Hopefully it stays that way. This video definitely has some ideas that I will always think about when playing for the rest of my life. Thanks Adam.

Every real golfer know the only way you can hit a driver straight every time is if you don’t play golf...

Cause you can’t slice it if you don’t hit it

Straight is a relative term. But "straighter" is certainly a reachable goal. And a "consistent" fade/draw is probably preferred over a straight ball flight. For the new/average golfer, imo, if you want to improve your on course golf game right now, leave your driver in the bag and tee off with your 3-wood instead. Save the driver for the range until you can handle it. Golf can't be mastered in a short time, but can be enjoyed while you learn if you'll play within your abilities.

I am literally doing number 2 tip. I’m straight left, zero bend In the problem is when it’s carrying 250-260 I’m in DEEP trouble. I swear I’m thrusting through toward the target and swinging in to out but I must be out to in.
