Come join me as I build a patio Deck Rail for a friend. Generally, any deck raised 30 inches above grade is required by code to have a railing. This fixer-upper house was missing a very important Patio Guardrail. Swamping time for knowledge, I spent a weekend being taught how to fly a drone by my friend, while I volunteered to build this guardrail for fun. Once you know what you need, you should make sure you know exactly how to install your railing properly. Make sure you design to the International Residential and local codes. Look up all codes and spend time building a study safe rail.

I got some carpenter pencils for the guys stockings a couple years ago. 20 pencils in a couple colors, but the best part was they had a holder that slipped around the back of the pencils and could clip on your pocket or shirt.
