    What weights of butter and icing sugar did you use to make the buttercream?

    Wats the weight of this rectangle sponge&also the finishedcake?

      I know that some countries order cakes by weight but in the UK we do it by how many servings you need and work out the sizes that way.
      I made the rectangles with 450g each of butter, sugar, eggs and flour so the batter weighed 1.8kg in each pan and the buttercream was 250g butter, 500g of icing sugar. I have no idea on the weight of the finished cake though as a lot was carved away to make the number.
