- Forced Induction. A gift sent from GOD!! Not quite as simple as naturally aspirated, but with it, you get more power, increased engine efficiency, and the potential to make some more noises. Just like operating a manual transmission where you shift your own gears, it enhances the driving experience and connects you with your car. The same kind of thing can be said after you install an intake or exhaust, where you get to hear the fun induction and screaming of your engine. The same exhilaration can be experienced with the modification of the turbo system.
With the larger Borg Warner turbocharger on my car, in addition to the beefier Wagner intercooler, the induction system can be improved more with the addition to more efficient piping and a better way to vent the pressurized air upon letting off the throttle.

Now a days, turbo chargers that they be controlled by electric, so we can even hear a little sound of blow-off when being full boosting.
So blew-off work on at any time, not the gas off. Sometimes Old school emotion is better.

Those hoses are overkill. My 400whp type r uses hoses that are either sane size or smaller. Lol I do love the way you explain things.
FYI, if you want your turbocharged car to be as reliable as possible and last as long as possible, it’s critical to change the engine oil much more frequently than naturally aspired ones. Ideally use only synthetic and change much more frequently because they run much dirtier.
Turbo's are quit, if you wanna hear a turbo spool up you will need anti surge compressor housing. Now if you wanna hear the compressed air, release yeah just use any bov. Good vid my man keep it up.

It would be best if you fabricated some boost pipes and only use silicone joints at the ends instead of installing full silicone hoses at least on the boosted side of the intake because if you have too much boost, silicone hoses can expand in size/inflate and blow or loosen your clamps. Also i would replace that plastic intake with an aftermarket metal one
They are not easy or cheap to find. I would love it if this N14 engine was as popular as the K24 since there are countless different aluminum intake manifolds out there!
@@milanmastracci You can ask someone to fabricate them for you, also forge sells a full kit. When using purely silicon hoses a good trick is to wrap them around metal rings to prevent the "balooning" effect"; in fact one mechanic I happen to know even suggests using zip ties as a cheap (yet ugly) alternative.

Bit of both! I've learned a ton through RUclips and just googling things, but I also took a 1 year program at a local College regarding cars. It helped a bit, but I'm still learning tons to this day.

The mini is a beast now !!!! I’ve heard from people that cars with forged pistons are more noisy is it true ???
More hp means bigger explosion into cylinder chamber = more noise

@@bchnts there shouldn't be any rattling noise just because of forged internals. As long as everything fits, there shouldn't rattle anything that didn't rattle before.
@@bchnts If that would be the case the engine would fall apart in 2 minutes, actually what one wants to avoid when using forged pistons is piston slapping inside the cylinder, you can google it.
This sounds so good! One question though.....I just got a new Mazda6 2.5T and I'm looking for the best cost-efficient way to get my new car sounding more like yours. Out of upgrading the intercooler, the BOV, or the pipes, which do you think would make the most noticeable difference in how the turbo sounds? Any help is appreciated, thanks so much and love your videos!
Hey man! Out of everything, the blow off valve will make the largest difference in sound. If you upgrade the intercooler along with the intercooler piping, it will just help the air that if flowing to the BOV less restrictive

Most mechanics would actually advise against the use of catch cans in THP engines for various reasons.

Actually the orientation of the blow-off valve DOES matter; be careful how you install it as it goes in only one way. Unless you do it right you will have leaks and can damage the threads. Be careful

Yes there was initially, but if you play around with the spring pressure, you can get it right and the CEL goes away.
The most fun noise you don’t have it tho it’s an EXTERNAL

If you went with a full atmospheric dump, yes you would.
