I appreciate everything you do! I am a fellow mini owner, and appreciate you pushing THE R56 to the limit with all of your absolute realism and data. Keep it up! Cheers from Dover Delaware!
Hey man, my stock N14 had the same problem that you described with the misfires but only with hard acceleration. I could drive the car around if I babied it and you'd never know anything was wrong. Floor it, breaks up. What I did was replace my spark plugs and coils, and just that solved my problems. I don't know how that's going to translate to your motor, but food for thought. Cheers!
@@kingmercyful7975 I bought the car with 100k miles and replaced the plugs within the first hundred miles to NGK laser iridiums, they're unfortunately pricey. I don't know how old the previous set was because I didn't own it then.

You've invested so much time effort and money in that engine and you really don't want to skimp on the last 10% get it on a Dyno and have it tuned logged and set up correctly
I wish that was a possibility, however that isn't a possibility with these MINI ECU's unless you decide to run a standalone, which will cost upwards of $8K CAD
@@milanmastracci Why isn't it a possibility? Instead of remote tuning it, you go to the tuner and they run the car on dyno instead of the road and fix the file on the fly instead of having you to write a list with mods etc etc...
@@graikas I have looked into live tuning quite a bit for mini coopers, but unfortunately there is nothing out their. In Canada nobody tunes mini ECUs as far as I know on a dyno. A few shops in the U.S do it, but for a Mini in Canada you basically have to go with a canned tune.
When you built it, should have brought it to the tuners and got it right the first time. That way they to could have dealt with the miss fire and made the tune clean and well. Plenty of people build motors and take it to the dyno.
I just bought an OBD dongle to do exactly that. I'm looking forward to seeing what figures we get from it, as my HPFP is the limiting factor at this point.
I have a quick question regarding the new laws about enforcing the tuning of cars. Will this no longer work soon? I know cobb tuners you have to be hooked up to their network every time you want to run the car. I'm asking because I'm wondering if i need to order this sooner rather then later if they have to quit making them..
would I be able to use the device for my Mini Cooper 2004 r50 to tune it? I currently have burbles so I'm pretty sure its possible just want to ask you because you are experienced with mini coopers. please help !
Hey, love watching your videos, Im getting my R56 tuned soon after my catless downpipe and intercooler install, what year is your mini out of interest?
I own a R56 mini cooper S , and the only thing that gave me trouble is the HPFP. I had to buy a new one. Looking forward to more news on this project, greetings from Argentina.
Hey, Ijust started tuning cars a few months ago and im good with most softwares but i have not been able to find any softwares to custom tune them myself. i guess my question is if i didnt wanna send the map out to tune it would i be able to do it myself with this software? asking for 2 of my friends that want custom tunes
Hey man I have an 09 R56 and I'm having exact same problem with the dashboard lights as well as the passenger light. Any idea what it was? I went to multiple forums and even the mini dealership. No one know what's going on. What did you do? I would appreciate your reply! Thanks!
Sheikh Latif Mario is based out of the Thousand Oaks area. I shipped my ecu out to him and he worked with me and gave me all the info needed. 10/10 would recommend him.
Oskar Movilla yeah, I was staring down my boost gauge, I assume the overboost in 3-6 is a percentage based increase. ie) it goes from 9-11 psi in stock maps
Thank you for not putting the manic misfire tune on your mini. Bytetronik makes a standalone system for minis. You can tune everything to the perfect specs on a lap top, on the fly.
I was told by a tuner that these tunes are not designed with the acceleration curve in mind. Meaning these tunes are designed to run full acceleration, or idle. Nothing in between, so you won't have any problems at full throttle, or very light throttle, but if you slowly put your accelerator down, a quarter way, or half way to the floor then the cars is not getting the correct fuel/air ratios to fire correctly. Causing a misfire, and pre detonation. Bytetronik will allow a tuner to put your mini on a dyno and get everything running perfectly. This Rpm tune is the exact same as manic tunes, and jp tunes. These guys selling you this garbage wont tell you this, but they'll take your money.
@@mikkelr1 there is no dyno tuning available for Minis at the moment. This is the only way to go at the moment unless you go the standalone ECU route, which is also a pay in the ass.

I have been checking your channel every single day just for this video! Haha love it!
Don't forget about the in tank fuel pump. The HPFP is nothing with out the in tank pump. I would replace it as well.
You are missing plugs by after the maf, whart are and how to. Looks very clean

St kitts for the win! Same here dude!

Hi, can you update your experience with the RPM power tune? Any issues?
R56 just has such a better aftermarket than r53...I'm jealous
You need to make logs some how and have a tune based off of actual numbers, not just modifications. I'm sure it's a safe tune though.

Just got my stage 2 RPM tune from Mario out of California, my mini rips and is pretty terrifying. 21.88 max psi normal, 29 psi in sport

Welcome back Dear Milan, looking forward to watch the video, that I already liked before watching it :D
Just go to a real tuner with a dyno ..
no such thing for minis at the moment
Yes there is
Mark Jackson and who is that
he can't because he has to brake in and he cant redline so he had to get a pre-made tune to be able to drive the car until the brake-in ends
Jack Shepard since when does manic dyno tune? I am Manic stage 2 by the way
Nice one 👍🏻
It’s probably because the tune is for American gas, it’s a better gas, don’t rush to the HPFP yet!!
I’m not an auto chick but you make me wanna work on my own car! ☺️☺️☺️😂🔥🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽
Thank you!!!!
Thanks man!!!!!
You bet!

What kind of numbers are you going to be running?forged engine and upgraded turbo?
I'm not chasing number at the moment, but I'm aiming for 300whp. Fully forged N14 with a built head and upgraded turbo

Man duck the brake in. My boss always said brake it in how you drive it.
Mini tune you should make it so that our people have access to the pickle pickle skin
You selected Cooper S, don’t you have a jcw?
Yes, but mechanically, after my upgrades, I very well could have started off with a MCS.
Were can we get this product now?
Hello I'm in the US. How do I contact RPMPower??
If you find a reasonably priced HPFP please let me know!
Do you orderer one? :O
What makes it pop
Extra fuel and retarding the timing
Does RPM Power have a website?
I don't think they do, however they have a Facebook page: facebook.com/RPMPOWER.VANCOUVER/
Looks like you need bigger injectors..

How do I tune my Hyundai?
go to a tuner and ask
So no one’s gonna talk about the fact that he’s running windows on a MacBook
Breaking in a car with a noticeable misfire seems contradictive...hahaha
Haha, typical R56 mini....you can replace everything, but there's always more to break.

I hate the sound of back fire.
put the interior back in
