This sounds like a program I'd like. I am doing Cut 2023 and I was looking at Move 2022 when I am done with that. I don't have regular access to TRX, so I'm not so sure now. lol Also, if you are eating in a deficit and not losing weight, it doesn't necessarily mean you're not eating in a deficit. You could be retaining water from salty food, DOMS, your period--just something to consider if you think you're not seeing progress. :).
That's a good point! I have been losing weight, it has just been very slow! But i know Natacha says the slower, the more sustainable lol I'm just impatient. And I also don't have TRX but I just substitute the moves for others, or I use the progressions bc they're usually not with TRX! If you like the cut training style, you'd prob like move!!
The program seems pretty solid. I'm gonna give it a try. I love how your review is so comprehensive. Can you do a review on Reincarnation the definitive fitness guide by Brawny King. It's a very recent launch.
I’m glad this was helpful! And yay, hope you love the program! As far as the reincarnation-I will check that out and see if it’s something I’d be interested in trying!
Woah I can’t imagine eating only 1900 calories while doing this program! Not sure your basal metabolic rate but the average for women is 1500 and that doesn’t include thermal effect of food and not to mention the muscle you put on increases your metabolism! Sounds like you know what you’re doing and I’m no expert but just wanted to put that out there because hearing how many calories someone eats can lead to disordered eating for some people. I am a tall thin female and not trying to lose weight but I eat so much while doing this program. I imagine around 2500 but I don’t track 😅
I so appreciate your input! Yes my BMR is probably around 1600-1700 and with everything else I burn around 2600 a day according to my Apple Watch. I agree, for this program 1900 is kind of low, but I just feel like my Apple Watch is a little high and I’m probably eating a little more than I think I am 🙈 maybe I’ll up it to 2000 this week! Bc it def has been a challenge!
Pretty much everything a standard gym offers! Smith machine, bench, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, plates, medicine ball, stability ball, bosu ball, cable machine, resistance bands (long and short), TRX, maybe a couple other things!
Calorie trackers are not accurate. I can assure you that you are not burning 400 calories in a workout. Especially if the focus is resistance training instead of cardio. At most you may be burning like 250 calories. Starting your workout with a 10 minute run is actually a pretty good idea, since the difference between weight training and cardio in terms of calories is a lot.
The focus is a mixture of resistance and cardio! The moves are super dynamic to engage your full body. I’m heavy breathing 80% of my workouts and my heart rate usually stays above 170. Check out this study: medium.com/@practical_app/a-12-week-study-of-the-accuracy-of-the-apple-watchs-calorie-tracking-ed672cb5c333 I tested it myself last year and found it to be very closely accurate.
