I live in Whitby. The building you zoomed into towards the end of the video and said was Whitby Abbey wasn't Whitby Abbey. That was St Mary's Church. The Abbey is beyond that out of site of your camera. Where abouts did you go detecting in the area? - the pot dump looked like Scarborough Mere?

At 5:50, they are the modern equivalent of a duck board. Put them down to make a passable road on wet ground . etc
Dan that multi-coloured ball at 3:32 was actually a paintball. There was some green paint over it as well. Overall, a brilliant video once again dan.

It looks like a powder horn for a musket but it could also be a Viking drinking vessel as they used horns for cups .
