@@mariecollinspeakydippers Marie, this is Gerry Thompson. My real name only shows up on chat. I'm just realizing that you are a Collins. My last name would have been Collins but my great-grandfather used his grandfathers name of Thompson.
Michael, never change!! You are a ray of sunshine 🌞 I burst out laughing at the beginning of the video 😂 Marie the Sad iron history was beautifully done. Your narration is always amazing. You have no idea how much this channel lifts my spirits after a crappy difficult day. Thank you so very much for each and every one of you. The finds are stellar ❤
Electrolysis would be much easier to clean pieces or at least to loosen the crud. Simon could show you how it's done. And for bottles use muriatic acid to clean them
Happy New Year! Great finds this week. I really liked how the greenhouse burner cleaned up. I wouldn't alter it though. I bet someone would love to trade you for it.
What a great fishing trip by the Peaky's, Michael was killing it with his finds. I meant to ask before, but who picks the music for these videos, that song by the Wildflowers was beautiful and it fit Glen to a tee. That wee sad iron is a true classic! Happy New Year to the Peaky family! Cheers!
11:40- I believe that to be an insulator, most likely off a line drop to a house. 19:00 Kirsty found a nice oil burner, part of what might have been a table top cooker. IIRC Victorian late 1800-very early 1900's? Great day of really good finds. BTW if you are finding just the ends of golf clubs, does that make them just "lf"'s? 🤪
The item you thought may have been a chisel. I think it Look like a tool a bricklayer uses to keep the wall straight. You put it in between the bricks then tie some string to it and run it to another one.
I have my great grandmothers Sad Iron. It's the type you put hot coals inside. It has pride of place on my Cast Iron stove that heats my living room. It burns wood on a sand base. has a solid steel oval inset top for heating a kettle.
So when and why did Aaron and AJ join the Peakys? Did they have a mega falling out with Nigel? Just curious, we all like Aaron and watching AJ grow into the personable young man he is. Just all take care out there. The counter balance from a semaphore signal. No matter what you pull out, its better out of the environment, where it didn't belong, i am sure the fish and the crayfish would thankyou if they could, so i'll thankyou on their behalf.
Happy 2025 to you all. The chisel thing Glen looked like a brickie's line pin that might have been used to repair or even build the canal wall? It's been in the water for such a long time the metal has just delamination? It's great to see you all out and about.
The wire cutters Peakey's using are excellent. I use them every day for various electronic jobs. I buy them from Temu, 10 for around 8 Euros. Many Chinese retailers carry them, but Temu is the least expensive.
GREAT video Peaky Dippers 👌🏼💪🏽 Love the whole group ♥️💪🏽 And wanna wish you all a SUPER 2025 🙏🏼💪🏽🧲🍀💰💰💰 With a lot of Treasure's and FUN of course 😁🤗🤣😎 Greetings from Rotterdam the Netherlands 🖐🏽🇱🇺💪🏽😁🤗
If your in the uk we use online magnets on Google. The magnets we ise are called the evo 80. They are nice and light weight but have a very strong pull. You can also purchase the rope from there too. Use peaky10 on the check out for 10% off. Hope this helps 🙏
Hello all, Happy New Year. Love your channel but can only watch your edited videos as the moving and jiggling of the cameras on the 'live' feeds make me seasick unfortunately. Is there anyway you can use a similar method of filming where you have a static camera rather than the go-pro on your head? Even having it on your chest might make the filming more stable? Keep up the good work guys, love it. Wendy
😢 can't watch this video. The algorithm thinks I want a German AI voiceover, that can't even speak proper German and I don't seem to be able to switch it off. It's quite a random phenomenon, hitting channels I've subcribed to, but only now and then. So I'll comment, give a thumbs-up and that's it. Maybe someone can solve my problem. ❤
Yes, Unfortunately we do find the odd peice from the wars. Look at a video of ours called "the big haul" we had over 100 peices off one part of the river from grenades to alm types of guns
I'm not surprised, people in Texas for finding unexploded ordnance on their property, where their homes were built. One man found a 155 mm howitzer round 3 ft from his back porch, unexploded.@@PeakyDippers
Goog eving Marie and Glen , Terri and Paul , and everyone ❤

Knife shaped object 23:01 Could this be for a brickies string line. Two of these pushed into each end of a brick course with a string between the two.
Brilliant video as always guys and lets smash the life out of 2025.. many treasures and history to come your ways.. all the best Toon Tony 👍🏼👍🏼💚

It looks like what bricklayers use to put in the brickwork x2 and run a string line through and lay the bricks to it
@shaunfellows3930 thanks Shaun,
Yes I thought a pointing tool tbh
No way Aj is taller than dad
