I've added chapters for each separate track, as well as listing what songs/motifs were referenced, in the video description and chapters! Thanks again everyone for the support and kind words ♡♡♡
Thank you so much for the work and love you put into this. My personal favorite are Violet Armageddon and Dance of Time, just the duality of utter despair into rising hope were perfectly captured.
I love how you guys incorporated everyone's themes--the way you made Violet MINOR during the climactic scene... AND SUCH GOOD ARRANGEMENTS FOR ORCHESTRA! Really well done!
I remember Kiara getting super excited when she first saw this and she's so cool in it. Hinotori being a straight up hero's theme is gonna make her lose it.
@@StarlightDaryl It was my favorite part too. All the other motifs are from songs that are emotionally significant to each of the girls (other than Ina's BGM), whereas Papaya is just Ame's lighthearted BGM. But by choosing to use it here, you made it an emotionally significant piece for Ame. It will be hard to watch her streams when she plays Papaya and not think of this.
3:16 You really help sell 1: Gura vs Ina (as I can hear a little bit of Ina's "loading..." screen bgm mixed in with reflect, as if both themes were trying to fight over the mic) 2: Gura's pain in cutting off her friend 3: Tiny shork vs Eldritch Lovecraftian terror Relistening this was worth it.
1:00 This rendition of Kiara's HINOTORI is how I actually imagine it would be when these 4 mythical beings enter a stage led by 1 Human in a royal grand ball This whole composition is an absolute MASTERPIECE
I actually think they ended up a little unbalanced in the final video. The SFX especially drowned out 'the battle begins' - I didn't even realize it was a remix of RIP. I think it was an overall really well done mix (especially the second half, which was completely pitch perfect in the blend of SFX, music, and quiet periods), but I'm glad to be able to hear the OST on its own to appreciate a few of the finer details.
I really, REALLY like the dance of time, Where Ame herself DOESN'T stop even it seemed impossible. She uses the 'AMEWAY' and also why she's called 'AMEBELIEVER' due to her achievements to not give up and use her own style even breaking the game's intended use to pass through the hurdle. Mazu really catches Ame's personality where no matter how dire the situation is, Ame will never give up.
9:44 is such a hitting moment, because it is the moment you realize, despite trying it before and failing every single time, Ame will do the impossible to save her friends, even if it takes her own life to do so. Man, I keep repeating the same part over and over knowing that I will cry each and every time... Thank you for this, I really mean it
I used to think "Imagine if we get Myth to dub this", but after seeing the finished project, hearing all the music and sounds I quickly changed my mind "This can only have the impact, if it has no voice over - otherwise the music won't shine."
9:44 It reminds me of this part of the soundtrack when Ame concluded her activities by today. It not bad, it not an end. It's an epic (and temporarily) departure in Ameway
I always come back to the masterpiece you've made with Myth's Bad Ending. Istg it always sends chills whenever I hear you use their bgm/music as motif for these.
Idk why but the orchestral Papaya not only is my favorite part of the soundtrack, but it also amuses me to no end that that’s what I’m seeing most in these comments. Also the sentence “orchestral Papaya” cracks me up
A full version of that Papaya orchestra will be lit. I never thought an orchestral version of Ame BGM will fit her Time Traveling Sci-Fi theme that much.
I know it's been just over a year, but I would kill to hear a full rendition of Your Darkest Thoughts/Don't Call Me A Noob as like a boss theme that didn't get cut off. I always replay that part!
Makes me wish Cover would do more stuff like that one image soundtrack for Myth. I'm a sucker for motifs from things like their BGM being used in grander compositions like this.
It's been a whole year since this absolute UNIT of an animation and score dropped, and I'm still blown away. I think the single moment in the score that I keep coming back to is not just the Epic Papaya, but specifically the brass hit (horns & high trombone?) at 10:32. I'd bet money it was coincidence, but that inner movement punctuating the IRyS easter egg with that gorgeous anticipation/suspension just gives me chills. Something about sweeping chord changes under that piano ostinato.... sooo good!
Fun story here! So when I'm scoring to picture (and the timing of the animation is already finalized), I start by noting key points in the video, then finding the best tempo and start/end points that best match my musical ideas while hitting these key points on-rhythm. The big zoom-out at ~10:34 was the main key point I wanted to highlight, and as a result of that, the IRyS easter egg *also* ended up being perfectly rhythmically aligned, 100% on accident! It was too good of an opportunity to pass, so I added the horns and trombone - I personally associate those heroic high trombones/horns with hope, which I think was fitting for IRyS. I'm so, so glad you caught that!!! TL;DR it was both intentional and a coincidence :D
6:08 my favorite I think. The arrangement for Ina’s Violet in this scene is just incredible. Such melancholy and dread reconstructed from a song that is so full of longing. Paired with Ina’s “I’m sorry”, it just hits different. Anyways, absolutely incredible work on the whole soundtrack!!
I’m an emotional person so hearing Ina’s Violet and Ame’s BGM is making me cry BIG TIME Ina’s song is melancholic while Ame’s is pure determination is so fucking good aaaaa… 😭
5:29 is my absolute favorite segment, the way the visuals and music gets together to form such an amazing feeling, sadness seeing gura, triumph with ina gaining her body back... then the music hits and is just... dread, despair, nothing more can be done as the magic circle activates, it left me cold. Spectacular. Loved the Ame's ost, sounded so epic, full of hope and expectation of something good might happen after all, yet again reminding you this is The End while we see Ame dying and the universe getting reset. Goosebumps all over the place! Amazing work!
The entire project was incredible. But I think your music was what really tied it all together. Thank you for helping to make an unforgettable creation.
This is some seriously professional grade stuff. The quality of this work is on par with film and show scores it’s that well done. Perfectly captures each scenes motif and feel. And like any good score, it served to elevate the entire piece as a whole. Bravo!
With all respect to other authors and productions, this is the best OST of the year for me. The way how your incorporated those themes for all girls just gives me goosebumps every time I hear them and orchestral Papaya? I can't even describe how hard it hits me every time I hear it - true Hollywood level of epicness. Very well done and utmost respect for creating this. Thank you
woah...the way you used each members' music was insane!! from calli's RIp to kiara's hinotori to gura's reflect to ina's violet and then the freaking orchestral papaya SO GOOD! What was the ending theme though? It sounds familiar but I can't pinpoint it
It was ame’s original waiting room theme the original stream starting. I know that from the debut to until they had the new music they released on Spotify.
Actually her original waiting room theme was "Climbed larva" by MAKOOTO, from DOVA-SYNDROME. The last song (I assume we're talking about retry) also sounds familiar to me, but I'm not sure if I've heard it before or if it's similar to some other melody.
Yea, this comment was put up before they put up the song titles in the description. I’m inclined to believe it is not based on anything similar to some of the other songs
@@StarlightDaryl Kiara's theme from the KFP Cinematic Universe and You Say Reflect are real winners, and I feel like they can be extended. I don't know about the others, since violet has to come in and out to work, the RIP intro is clearly just an intro, and I feel like Ame Zimmer developed and concluded the way it was supposed to. shit you have real names on these now this doesn't work anymore

Oh wow, these were so heavily rearranged I actually missed some of the cues. Incredible work man. If any of you involved in this project aren't already doing this professionally, I hope this ends up being your foot in the door.
Im glad you were able to make and add this cause it was true passion project. I cant say i was able to catch every detail but it was thorough, Thank you.
I want to hear more of the retry (credits roll) music. It feels nostalgic: Remembering a pleasant time in your life, and a bit wistful because it is only a memory now.
I've gotta say: I love this entire soundtrack, but the masterpiece of it in my eyes (or rather ears) is certainly "The Dance of Time" (great title by the way). It really reminds me of some of my favourite soundtracks out there, including Stephen Barton's work on Titanfall 2, Brian Tyler's work on Iron Man 3, Christopher Franke's work on Babylon 5 (especially "Sleeping in Light"), Alan Silvestri's work on the Avengers Movies and Hans Zimmer's work on Interstellar (especially "Mountains"). You really need to be given a big name project to be able to share your great work with a much larger audience. But for now, as a fan, i thank you that you're here, you're doing this and that you delivered such a great work for us.
Thanks! I'm currently trying to figure out the logistics for distributing on Spotify and Bandcamp. It's a little complicated since parts of the score reference the girls' songs, and a few also reference some Dova Syndrome music which is royalty-free. I'll definitely give a big update once I'm able to figure that out though!
For all the songs, extended versions would be sick. RiP and Reflect hit real hard, and so did Ame's theme, but if I have one song I want more of, it's the end credits. That SLAPPS!
I came here to appreciate the music from the animation, i love the fact that everyone's theme are present on their own respective spotlight. Great job!
I seriously cannot express how much I love this soundtrack. Everytime I hear the motifs (Especially Reflect and Papaya), it never fails to send shivers down my spine. This is a phenomenal composition and I couldn't even begin to image anything else that could fit so perfectly with Mazu's masterpiece of an animation. I would pay good money to listen to this as a live orchestra or even just to listen to it on spotify. A masterpiece!
Even without sfx the motifs still get me. At first I didn't even catch the other holo member's motifs so getting to hear it directly is really nice. Especially when they're used in the more somber scenes man. I was mainly listening to this in the background but even then the way Ame's motif is orchestrated is so damn good it nearly made me tear up again. It's so surreal and I don't know if it's because the music fits so well with the scene or it's just so beautiful it gets me either time (probably both tbh). Regardless I will never get over how incredible this masterpiece is and how beautiful the music is for it. You did an amazing job :)
0:48 I guess it kinda makes sense to play this since not even ashes remained for those who don’t understand; those notes sound exactly like the ones in the second phase of signora’s battle (Genshin Impact), but it could be just a coincidence- xd
I kept scrolling, maybe not far down enough, but during the latter half of Gura’s theme was mixed in with Ina’s BGM motif. Visually, it was after Ina caught and hurled Gura’s trident, with the bgm, it shows she was the one in control. However, it was also right before the Ina Gura flashback, so there could be an implication/leading to the friendship between Gura and Ina. This is one of the more minute details but by far my most favorite one. I wonder what the actual intention was but leaving that unanswered might be better for fun speculations.
What a masterpiece of a Soundtrack great Job!! Thanks for working with Mazu on the amazing fan animation. Hope this will get the attention it deserves!
I came looking for something like this after catching the motif from Reflect, and was surprised by how many other tie ins I missed. This was impressive, and I love it so much.
Thanks so much!!! Admittedly some of the references are on the subtle side (especially the VIOLET motif). I'm glad you found your way to this video and enjoyed it ♡

I certainly didn't have "Sweeping orchestral version of Papaya" on my Hololive bingo card, but I LOVE IT.
I love how 2:29 uses the _JAWS_ motif to lead in to the one from _REFLECT_ and it just matches beautifully to the visuals.
*_9:44_**_ This used to make me cry for no reason, guess the world was telling me the future all along... o7_*
This has always been my favourite track.
The music was stellar, especially when that epic orchestral "Papaya" hit. I got goosebumps! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much!! That was my favorite part to work on, especially since Ame is my favorite!!
