I loved watching all of the parts where it was JUST riding around. It was very relaxing to watch. It makes me want to play this to level up a horse and then do nothing but hunt and ride my horse around for the views. It’s so gorgeous. :)

My 3 year old autistic son loves watching me ride around when I play. So to find a video that’s mostly that is great. He sits here and watches it with me when he’s winding down for bed.

Amazing, but as an equestrian I noticed something that is REALLY bad and I hope they can fix in a patch. The horses back legs are bunny hoping instead of hitting the ground one at a time when it canters and gallops and it looks really strange. I have only noticed it in this video and not the others so I hope its just a weird bug because that would really break immersion for me. Especially when viewing from the side you can see it. The front legs move how they are suppose to and the back legs move like those wind up toys some of us had as kids.....strange.
yes i noticed that too! i haven't noticed it in any other videos, and even in those only when the horses are spooked or excitable or being ridden in a fight. i felt like i was being nit picky at first, but if my horses don't move that like then neither should horses in a Rockstar game!😂
It did look quite odd. I was noticing it happened the most when they turned right and the horse went to switch to a right lead, because I was looking for lead changes. (Actually any time they switch leads because they seem to take 2 or 3 strides to do it, hops. so constant oversteering makes it flip out?) Also the sound timing didn't match which was really cringy. Over all I love the vid and I like the sound but when you put sound and picture together it snapped the whole thing in half because the sound isn't, apparently, tied to the animation?
Frimbertrips yeah thats true. i feel like they just took a sound clip of a galloping horse and put it with the video. its not that noticeable if your just galloping around, but when you actually focus on its kind of odd. i hope they can fix these little things, as they dont exactly affect gameplay, but i have sent them a message about it. aside from that its a gorgeous game though.
I can't wait to get my copy of the game and I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but it could take a few days for me to get over the disjointedness of it. When the rest of the game is so incredibly accurate the sound being off shatteres it like a rock to a mirror face. I'm kinda dreading riding a horse everywhere because it'll be constant. XwX

I finished the game for a second time and this is all I do, I love trail riding. The graphics are so stunning in this game I cannot-
Amazing ! One detail though: while the saddle is typical from western horse riding, the bridle is not : western bridles don't have nosebands. But that is REALLY a TINY detail, I am way too picky on that one.
You can get upgraded saddles that change the bridles too. The upgraded bridle has no noseband, ear loops instead of a browband, and a bit with rather long shanks.

im definitely not buying myself a grey when i get my first horse! any horse with a patch of white on it looks blimmen hard to keep spotless.
Its not, really. I always brush my horse by habit, even when its not dirty. The grime shows up on dark horses too, any way

The most unique looking horse has the worst stats since you can only have that horse once.
All right I absolutely love this horse in the game he is a lovely horse to have he is actually the best horse I ever had in this game he did everything that I needed him to do from missions and hunting food and getting money he's always been there for me he also saved me from the O'Driscolls we were galloping around just enjoying trail ride and then the O'Driscoll's ambushed us and my horse collided with Little Rock he got back up on his feet and he waited for me to Mount him and we both galloped away so in my opinion speed does not matter the trust it's more important than speed also the only reason why I'm saying this is because I feel like this is how horse racing is it feels like speed and money is more important than then race horses and that's not how horse racing should be also if anybody wants to quick and easy money what I would do is go to window Rock and there is a crashed train near there and inside the train there is two golden bars however it will take a little effort to get into the train because if you go there you will know why I'm talking about also I'll search the other train cart as well then what I would do is go where the Indians with and get the I and then they'll be a cave and they'll have three golden bars and then we're horseshoe Overlook is a little burnt down town and it will have one golden bar and they'll easily give you $3,000 maybe I don't know but I had $3,000 from all that gold and watches and necklaces and everything that you collect I've collected from all of that I collected over $3, 734 dollars so here that's a lot of money isn't it so if you want that much money then why I like to do that will give you a bunch of money

This is pretty and has more things to interact with. But I still think Shadow of the Colossus has the best horse riding camera angle and animation of any game of all time.

So I just got Red Dead Redemption 2 and had to ride a horse, but it was kinda weird?
Like W was just walk what is normal but when I press S the horse isnt going backwards + when I press A or D the horse is going faster + when I press L SHIFT the horse does nothing.
I dont think this is how it supposed to be? Like riding is impossible like this and couldnt find out how I can fix it.
I removed all keyboard bindings and put them 1 for 1 in again.
Didnt work.
Trails rides are juat walk trot and cantering no galloping ad it nakers the horse out

How come they couldn´t make horses look more realistic?? The horses´ fur should be more shiny when in open sun! I really long for such a game with realistic horse fur. :/

Can horses not sprint like in the first game?
You can by tapping X/A, it puts a fair bit of strain on your pony to do it too frequently though
Isn’t there a way though where if you’re sprinting with your horse if the tap A in time with the galloping it reduces the amount of stamina you use
