Dear Yo Kitamura, I love everything about your performance: your interpretation; your beautiful and deep tone; your fluid legato; your phrasing, sense of drama, and deference to the score. And more! You seem to be a born cellist. Do not be discouraged by remarks by some nasty people who seem to be jealous of you! If you weren't so outstanding, they wouldn't be so eager to tear you down. They wish they could play the Rococo Variations so superbly at your age -- or at any age! Congratulations and best of luck. From Lilian Duval
I will be going to listen Yo Kitamura at the Symphony Hall, Osaka tomorrow. He will play Rococo Variations with Kansai Philharmony Orchestra. I look forward to hearing his performance very much as well as sound of his cello "Cassini"(1668).
@Violin Accordion oh it's you again. I see your comments everywhere. But I have to agree. Most people are just jealous because it seems almost impossible to play at this level at this age! I hope that Yo Kitamura is enjoying every single moment on stage! He definitely has a bright future in front of him!
many. A young musician will pay attention. But can you really become out there and become a musician who can endure evaluation? That is a future story. I think the current performance level is only a guideline.
Oh Oh :-) this is a strange version of Rococo Variations :-) It is so slooooooow....... ahahahahah...... and very strange bow. But was the jury in the concert hall? I think they was to sleeping :-) :-)
Would you please explain what do you mean by "bad bow". I hear nothing but perfectly tuned notes, and see nothing but a perfectly horizontal bow. It would be really pedagogical that you could explain yourself. Something more instructive that "bad".
I don't think he can play a lot better an instrument this size with his current body. Grow some brain cells, of course he can't control his instrument as well as an adult does, the cello is like a double bass for him.
Lilian Duval I think that Marika Silverstone is talking about his bow hold. His fingers look a bit tense but it does not seem to be a problem because his sound is still amazing!

音程がきれいですね。昨日、10歳の頃の演奏を見つけて驚きましたが、大きくなられてもスマイルは変わらす、音を大切に歌いきる弾き方も更に主張がはっきりしていて素敵ですね!

Wonderful performance!!!
ahahahahah! Are you a friend of him? Very bad performance!!!!
Antero Palacio sure it is. But terrible.

Good sense演奏を聴け、十代なんだから未熟な部分もある。
Listen to the performance, there are parts that are immature as they are teens.
He plays like a very little student. He is 13 old years.... but he isn't a good cellist at all :-)

this boy have to study so so hard. He is a normal cellist, low level
It is easy to criticize others.
mmmm... you are wrong. He is the winner of the best competition for young cellist!!! But he plays no good!!!

Love to know what do you mean by "strange bow". Really. Would you be so nice to explain?!
Wanda Pearl there are definitions of temp in figures of metronome, please open the notes and tell us what temp composer preferred
