    Also, side question: how do you assess pterygoid tension vs masseter tension with how they situated anatomically? Would it be assess intraorally?

      Great question! The report on pterygoid tension came from the chiropractor, but it can be assessed orally in a lactation setting by allowing baby to express the bite reflex on a gloved finger, and looking for bite pressure symmetry. Diagnostics came from the chiropractor, though, after a referral for tension concerns!

    These were recommended to me by my LC for my lil one's latching issues. So my doubt is should we do this before the feed or after the feed?

      It’s always good to clarify specific instructions with your provider! I usually suggest trying both and see what works best for baby & the rhythm of your day. They’ll benefit from movement either way, so do whatever works best for you, if your provider doesn’t have specific recommendations for your unique situation.
