  • For an efficient and accurate visual system, the eye muscles must work in synchronicity. This allows for better performance and posture.
    Good eye functions reduce headaches, loss of side vision and neck tensions. Here is a simple exercise that you can do to correct your lazy eye :
    1. Draw a line on your dominant index finger
    2. Proceed in clockwise circles for 30-45 secs (as seen in video)
    3. Repeat 3 times a day

    Even though the right eye is turned-in towards the midline? Placing the moving circle in front of the left eye, would further reinforce the strength of the already dominant medial rectus muscle, on the right would it not?? Thank-you!!

  • @ATTherapist
    @ATTherapist 6 лет назад +1

    Sorry if I wasn't clear before.... Ok, for the affected eye (let's say its "turned in"-hence medial rectus muscle dominant), for this application, you would want to place the moving finger slightly "outside" of the affected eye's visual field, in order to stretch the short and tight medial rectus muscle, and strengthen the lateral rectus muscle. Do I have your reasoning correct?? Thanks very much.

    A most inspiring and educational video! I'd like to ask if, when the weaker eye is turned inward, it would be necessary to perform an anticlockwise rotation in front of the good eye or to stick with a clockwise one; regardless of the weaker eye's position. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi
    I have a lazy eye (the right one), but I also have keratoconus (on both eyes), so I use RGP contact lenses all day long. So, my question is: should I make this exercise with or without my contact lenses? I found some similar articles, and people usually say to remove the lenses while making eye exercises, but without my lenses, I am not able to focus anything (only 2 or 3 inches away from my nose) due to my strong keratoconus. So, when I move my finger away, I can not focus it at all. Could you please help me on that? By the way, thanks for the great video.

    If the body relies on our eyes to maintain a proper posture and good balance, what will happen when a person with a lazy eye closes his eyes?
    And how blind people deal with this?

    When I was 10 I ran with a Philips head Screw driver and fell ..... Yes... It went into my right corner of my right eye. I damaged the muscle. When I'm tired or stressed will go over to the right. I used the pencil exercise.. still to this day same thing... Sucks but I can make it move to the right and have some control over it...

    Hello there, I have encountered similar exercises in a Minor Brain trauma course related to concussion management,, that associates eye movements with vestibular balance, etc. If say.the right eye, turns in, or always is turning in, in this exercise you demonstrate the failing eye to be further challenged by placing the finger in front of the non-compliant (eye turning in) in order to stretch the short and tight perhaps medial rectus muscles of the eye ball. To correct a turned in eye, would you not have the finger fixed outside of the eye's visual field so as to stretch the medial rectus muscle as you perform the counter-clockwise circles?? A great post, and thank-you. Your feedback would be much appreciated!!! Merci bien!!!

      No, you should not. Because a surgery is only cosmetically for your lazy eye(s) to stay in the center. And succes rate is 30% or so. I would recommend using the Bates method, he was a eye doctor/surgeon (Google it). It worked for me.

      That depends if you are binocular or not?

    • @yoestrella
      @yoestrella 3 года назад

      @@Posturepro Thank you very much for your reply. I am monocular - only impacts one eye. Hence monocular diplopia, the double vision goes away when the affected or “bad” eye is covered, and returns when the unaffected or “good” eye is covered. I don't have double vision in my left eye only my right eye. The double vision in the right eye is up and down, not laterally. Doing the exercise in the video btw makes the right eye feel better by the way. They gave me glasses altering both eyes w/ prisms and it does not feel good, messes my good eye up. I am having the checked again, however if there is a way to improve this, I want to do it. I keep looking and your videos are the few that address this. Thank you.
