  • How to Fix Lazy Eye at Home
Here's one of my all-time favorite eye exercises. It's simple and can be done anywhere in the world to ensure good eye function. The eye muscles must work in synchronicity for an efficient and accurate visual system.
Here is a simple exercise that you can do to correct your lazy eye:
    1. Draw a line on your dominant index finger
    2. Proceed in clockwise circles for 30-45 secs (as seen in video)
    3. Repeat 3 times a day
How long does it take to correct a lazy eye?
Depending on your condition, the results can be very quick. For optimal results, do this every day for 30 days!
For pain and injury prevention, as well as for sports performance, your eye synchronization must be addressed.

Unfortunately it didn’t work and after talking to my eye doctor about this and vision therapy, he told me that if I did train both my eyes to work together, I’d most likely see double and that’d be a bigger problem. Following these posture pro videos however are helping me see a link between my poor eye coordination and my posture issues and injuries. Don’t want my trial at this to deter anyone. My situation is probably unique.

Uhm. Does she know that most people with strabismus can’t focus on a line with both eyes? That’s kind of the problem. I’m going to try this, although I feel like it’s impossible. Going to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done, I’m sure. I’ll let y’all know how it goes. It it can fix my severe lazy eye then it can fix anyone. I’m definitely skeptical though. I will have to find someone to exhaustively watch me to let me know when my lazy eye steps focusing bc you don’t know it’s happening. That’s also part of the problem. It’s not like you can look in a mirror while focusing on a line on your finger.

The goal is to feel the stretch of the eyeball(s) and get them accustomed to being in a position that they aren't used to be in. Glasses or not glasses, you will feel the muscle stretch and therefore, with enough practice, get used to the eye being in different positions.

Any reason why I should go clockwise or counter clockwise depending on my location? I get that is the case for toilets and other mechanisms, but an eye ball stretching its muscles is stretching it the same way no matter where you are at. If you are rotating it, no matter what direction, you are rotating. And when that is done, if you have a lazy eye, you will feel the stretch. This south/north of the equator thing is nonsense.

Hi Anette, saw your eye exercise video. I've got a question, my mum has rheumatoid arthritis and her fingers are crooked, not straight. How to perform the eye exercise in this case? The line will not be straight as her finger will slant to one side. Pls advice. Thanks.

    • @Posturepro
      @Posturepro  2 года назад

Carol, Try to position the finger so that the line is vertical. If the is not possible, you may use a visual object or someone else's finger. Hope this helps!

I have problems doing this with my finger because I keep on focusing on moving my eyes with the finger and not on actually looking at the line. That’s why I sometimes feel tension in the back of my eyes and sometimes not. It’s easier for me to do this with the tip of a pencil. Will this work too? I want to do this 5 times a day combined with pencil push ups (20reps 2 times a day). Would you say is this too much? Thanks ❤

Madam, while focusing on tip of the pen, my both eyes seen to converge but a lot of strain on left eye. While doing circles, when circle crosses the right half of face and comes to left side the line on right index finger immediately becomes two which was a single line on right half of face even though I increase the distance of finger and face. Any suggestions for that madam.
Any benefit of doing this exercise for prolonged time like half an hour?
    Thank you madam.
    Thank you

Sasi, That sounds like an eye muscle imbalance. Please perform these exercises 30-45 secs (3-5 times/day) and until you see only one line throughout the circle.

Is this more for strabismus, where the eye actually floats away, or actual lazy eye amblyopia where you actually can’t see as well out of the one eye but it doesn’t noticeably float sround. Or does it help with both?

Unfortunately the person teaching this doesn't know what lazy eye is. Lazy eye is amblyopia. If your eye is weak and you're suppressing an image, You won't know if both eyes are pointed at the finger. You might have to bring your finger really close to see two images and try to fuse them. I stretches can't hurt but they're not going to do much for you. It's best to seek vision therapy or have surgery. Don't worry about the equator business. There's no evidence supporting that it would make a difference.
