Holy truth, You don't realise how much You helped me, You, and the Barefoot Strenght channel, cause actually their exercises did the job in 10 minutes, without me using any insoles.

I’ve had flat feet since college. I had arches as a kid and teen and was quite athletic. My flat feet was due to my posture and also my jaw imbalance from bad orthodontics. I’ve since then fixed the flat feet. None of it was due to my feet nor my foot strength. It was everything upstream of my foot.

Can you do a more in depth video about the relationship between the TMJ and posture? Specifically supination?

Very interesting! I have flat feet but when I was younger I had better posture and could run fast. This gives me more to be aware of as I pursue singing. Thank you.

I became aware of your work through the Muscle Intelligence Podcast and have been intrigued ever since. It led me to your TED Talk, website and channel.
There's no doubt I have red flags, and I've had a shoulder impingement issue that no professionals across different fields have been able to fix so far.
Then there's also my constantly aching feet and feeling of general fatigue.
I have to admit that I'm somewhat overwhelmed in terms of where to begin to cover all bases (exercises, progressions, addressing specific tissues, imbalances, etc.)
In my country, the posturology practitioners seem to primarily be acupuncturists... Their focus seem to still be feet, eyes, and the jaw, but I'm not sure if those common denominators are enough of a "greenhouse flag" compared to your system.
I also just saw the brain coach performance cert on your site.
Even for someone who doesn't have a formal rehabilitation background, in-depth understanding of anatomy, and wants to fix himself first and foremost, would that course be way to go in terms of trying to recalibrate onself? I'm quite frustrated at this point because of daily pain hindering my lifting and everyday function.
And is there a way to get in contact with you/your team for specific advice? I'm looking at all these drills and end up with a list of feet and eye exercises without proper context. It's all still a bit abstract to me :-)

Seeing this a couple years later but want to thank you for your comment about the Muscle Intelligence Podcast. Also curious to hear an update on your journey. I've got a set of things that's got me from completely immobilized to somewhat able to do my day to day. But it's time for the next thing, and to start moving toward actual physical prowess again, and not just basic couch/car/kitchen mobility.

Great video and explanation of this subject! Years of chronic pain in my lower back and QL from becoming "mixed foot" with right foot over pronation causing APT. Years of sports, fitness and weightlifting patterned me into debilitating pain. I just started my road to recovery with custom orthotics and Postural Restoration Institute drills. I never realized how important this was along with diaphragm breathing to correct posture and overall mental well being.

OMG this is me! Mixed foot and the whole right side is in constant pain! The QL goes crazy and even spasms. My hip, glute and ankles kill me! I went to Nebraska for PRI and they didn’t give me orthotics but a stupid dental splint which they screwed up and PRI exercises that haven’t done much because the feet were never addressed! I am getting my custom orthotics done soon. See if that makes a cha he. But I literally can see the ankle is becoming deformed and my bunion is growing on the right!

Basically quite unbelievable how quickly you can fix your body with feet alignment exercises. This the book - The Foot Fix: 4 Weeks to Healthier, Happier Feet

Somehow I got the recommendation for this video on RUclips and I immediately subscribed. So fascinating how the body works. I believe my posture has gotten worse in the last 1-2 years, although I have been working out regularly. Between 2018 and the beginning of 2020 I was wearing only barefoot shoes and then I stopped because I felt the soles were so thin that I wasn't able to absorb the shock when I was walking outside (on urban ground, which means concrete). I guess there is a connection here. I am hoping that Joe Nimble's shoes with a 10mm sole, which should help to walk in an urban environment.

Sadly i didnt get any types of physiotherapy when i was young.. even tho there were so many signs :/ ended up with me overusing my knees, back, calfs, back and inwarded feets.. which made me stiff and crouched when i walked.. oh i was so depressed! But no one did anything! Rough childhood and always feelt clumsy, akward and shy.. i knew something wasnt right but hey lifes aint fair i guess.. took me to adult age to finally fix most of my problems and i feel so ashame that i was so immobile and special and got comment by my gait and all... feel like my childhood was kinda ruined and my self-confidence was dead... anyway great video! I try to stand strong

I have mixed feet, which causes my right side transverse abdominal hold bigger part of upper body weight, and the left side to sleep, and be very week, which causes my left side shoulder to compensate for deficit of stability by the shoulder blade being held stack to the rib cage by muscles, and that impares motion quality, which caused my left side to be a lot weaker, which was detrimental to my development in the gym, since the very beginning of me working out, which was super frustrating.
I only cracked it down at age of 46, when I started to play metal drums.

Same boat. Get custom orthotics with serious arch support and look for a Physical Therapist trained in PRI. 90/90 drill with a balloon for breathing among many others to rebalance you

Thanks dude, but since that comment I fixed it with foot muscle activation exercises from this, and Barefoot Strength channels, no special shoes needed. I was doing some exercises when I was very little, but it didn't help, since the emphasis needs to be on activation of that V shaped muscle in the foot; it's inactivity is what causes the problem.
I wrote that in the comment above.
