Nice video, and thanks for the good memories, in fact I was right there next to the wooden stalls in July 2012 on my way back from Lofoten and NordKap. I caught some cod and pollac. Ciaoo
Great to hear mate, what a place and a pleasure to visit to fish ,ive been fishing the summer month a lot more lately in Norway and enjoying it,cheers for the comment 👍
Hey man, I really enjoy watching you videos, you seem to be really succesfull in the Bodo area, I went there last year november too and only caught a few small cod till about 7 pounds. Watching your videos I feel like I have been fishing on the wrong spots. Maybe a rude question but can you tell me where you do the night fishing in this video? The spot where you are hammering the Coalfish would be appreciated as well. I am going back this spring to test my luck and I could really use some fishing spot info. Thanks in advance.
Cheers mate,, Google maps is really good for finding fishing marks,, one is the disabled plat form on saltstraumen, everyone fishies there for coalfish, good mark, opposite is the kjelen kafe, also good for coalfish,, saltstraumen brygge, is we're we stay, and the marks are there's, sorry mate, but Google maps will help you, just find somewhere and try it 👍
Hi, nice fish you got there! Do you have any spots for shore fishing at saltstraumen? I am here right now and find it very hard to find spots where the current does not cuck me or I get snagged every 2nd cast
Hi mate, try fishing saltstraumen 2 hours before low tide, down to low, the tide pull maybe less over these times, I mostly lure fish saltstraumen my self, coalfish are mid water, and if you time it right dead slack water is a really good time to target cod and halibut on the bottom with lures, the disabled platform is good....
Amazing! Well done! Happy to subscribe! I've got a vid of me going about 20 miles out into the Gulf of Maine to catch Pollock like that. It's amazing how well Norway has managed its fisheries.
Beautiful Coalfish and great size to catch. Imagine if you could catch those off the shore anywhere in G.B. It would be packed. and fished out in no time!
Ye pall, kirt the host at saltstraumen Brygge will give you marks and tide times, a very helpfull feller,, herring, mackerel, bluey 3 in one cocktails fished well for me,, don't forget the spinning gear👍
@@crossfabrications9360 had fish on all stages of the tide, it didn't seem to matter, fishing saltstraumen we try and hit the slack tide time,, you can get about a hour of really good fishing, before the tide starts to hammer through again, jigg the shads on the bottom for cod,, halibut,, it can be a fish a chuck, top to mid water for the coalies...
We flew from Manchester to Amsterdam, then to Oslo, then to bodo,, saltstraumen brygge is around 30 mins drive from bodo airport, flight was around £240,, and saltstraumen brygge apartments was around £800 for 4 people,, but check out saltstraumen brygge Facebook for all details,
@@seafishingjunky733 Yes! in the Southwest/Bergen area. Going to try again tomorrow and will pick up some different lures, hadn't heard about weedless!
