In CSR2 cars can be upgraded to like 3000 HP and 700 kilograms. Cars are rather tame in their stock form. I remember going fucking 700 kph in my 918 back in the days.

For those of you who don't know. IRL when you're going that fast, you reach a point where you get tunnel vision. If you look forward you can make out the trees and such coming towards/past you, but if you move your gaze to the left or the right, the trees become a blur of color that you can't discern. It's like your vision becomes a tunnel, and the only thing that makes sense to your brain is what's in front of you. Some of these games do a decent job at portraying that

@@slendydie1267 Well I think it also factors in who's driving, my brother was driving once and hit 100-120 and I felt the same way, I thought you he was doing 80-90 as well, but then I took my car and drove at 130, and that shit if fucking insanely fast when you are the one driving. It feels completely different than when you are the passenger versus the driver. Also 10/10 would do again it's fun as hell.

HUD shake is most tastefully done on NFS shift. It actually gives information about the forces the car is experiencing.
My personal favorite is Forza Motorsport 4, i like how the screen gets darker, gives a feeling of danger, you know?
Not to mention the sound gets quieter and deeper.. Adds to the feeling of going insanely fast.

All you need are self-lubricating apex seals that use the centrifugal force of the rotor to draw out oil.
It would be more efficient, using less oil, and would greatly reduce wear on the seals by applying the oil directly to them.
My bad, people talk so much shit about rotary's it's hard to tell lol. Anyways make sure that the self lubrication apex seals are using 2 cycle oil just to burn easier. Then we might have a perfect rotary!

there are 4 tomahawks in the game. one vgt gr.1 from the gr.1 category, one gtsr vgt, one s vgt and one x vgt...
the gtsr vgt looks like the gr.1 but has mire power and doesnt meet the bop, the s vgt is a more road legal close car with 1081 kw and it has no flaps. the x vgt is the car in the clip obviously, it has 1929 kw and is the only car in the game that hits 400mph. so for me it was obvious that the car in the clip is the x vgt, it has flaps that are closed and you can also see that at the overtake button that is lighting up in red. but all the other 3 tomahawks are gr.x, i have no idea why you mean it is called prototype...

@@wendellpowell5838 nah, a lot of the cockpit views look faster because ingame cameras for outside the car are zoomed in, making the distance look not as far away. that hampers the sense of speed, but increases ability to see what's coming. The views in assetto corsa and project cars 2 with the side cam are the more accurate representations of speed. as far as a person would see it.

You didn’t have to do that with prostreet. The wrx can hit the top speed and the games speed limit is 250

Not gonna lie, that was hard to watch. I don't think anyone would actually be able to play AC with the FoV cranked up that much.

For real now, NFS Pro Street does it best of all these, 400 km/h actually feels scary and the car actually feels like its going to snap out of control at any moment. God I loved the Speed events on that game so much.

@@FirestormX9 I remember when it came out it got a lot of hate because the racing wasn't on the streets anymore, nor there was any police. If you disregard these stylistic choices though, this game is definitely a diamond in the rough. If only EA had given Blackbox more time to cook...

The complete lack of sense of speed in Forza causes me to come into corners WAY too fast and crash. Its a good thing they have the rewind function.

In all seriousness though, the sense of speed is absolutely horrible in the newest Forza games and the only way you can feel the speed is if you struggle to control a car
10:35 and 400mph in gt sport feels like nothing.
Not to mention you can increase the FOV in PC version of Forza which greatly increases the sense of speed.

Pretty much depends on the FOV, a higher FOV gives a higher speed sensation, even if you are moving the same ammount of space at the same ammount of time.
Of course the game's physics also matter, but there are many camera techniques that are used to convey the fast speed sensation.
- FOV (Higher FOV makes short distances seems longer, thus increasing the perceived speed)
- Proximity to Vehicle
- Motion Blur
- Radial Blur
- Vignette Effect (To give the Tunnel Vision perception)
- Wind Lines (usually older games used that, but they exist in newer games too, but more subtle)
- Camera Shake
- Vehicle Offset (from the center of the camera, when moving in high speed)
- Minimap Zoom (YES, even that can affect how you perceive speed)
- Vehicle/Road Size ratio (is subtle, but small vehicles on large roads feels faster to the eye)
Old NFS games were like, "Oh it's sunny? Okay time to increase bloom by 5000%."

@@ITrevorI I would agree, except modded AC can get quite buggy. Proof is in my videos lol. Assetto Corsa in VR can be virtually indistinguishable depending on your sim rig setup.

Gotta say, NFS gives the best illusion of speed. A majority of it is subtle screen shaking and reminds me of wind resistance on a helmet when riding a motorcycle at about 80. Then add in the camera falling back and dropping down on the quick bursts. That gives it even more, like a feel of being pushed back into a seat when you accelerate. Wish there was a setting on forza for all this.
