Remember, you MUST freeze your credit at each of the three bureaus or hackers will still be able to sneak in to one of your reports and steal your identity. I know it sucks that you have to pay for three credit freezes but it’s still way cheaper than paying for credit monitoring every month.

Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "credit repair report services" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Fanrayson Creditor Indemnization - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my neighbour got cool success with it.
As of today the credit freeze on all 4 credit agencies are free. You may want to do a update video.

I know, right?! I don't think people are really ready for how bad identity theft and hacking is going to be over the next few years. And there's not much you can do about it since many are overseas, except just freezing your credit.

Hey Joseph! I was able to find the entire playlist after all. Great info! I’m focusing on debt consolidation and have a couple questions. Bad credit means my loan will have a high interest rate (the ONLY red flag is utilization due to being in between jobs for 2yrs, but no missed payments)
Do I have the option to later refinance that loan ?
Do extra payments to the loan help me in the end?

If I freeze my credit cards will I still have to pay interest?
I understand that when you freeze your accounts, you provide your name and address. Now suppose you froze your credit and your address changes. Does an address change create a problem for you when you elect to unfreeze an account?

You can apply for credit instantly after unfreezing your credit report. If you plan on applying for a loan within 24 hours, I would call the credit bureau to make sure the un-freeze is applied but it's almost always automatic.

I just froze my credit systems after the capital one hack. Fortunately I already have credit cards and my last card, a Citi double cash is on its way, so I should be fine. Here's hoping.
I was wondering also on the CapOne hack but it only affected less than 1% of the customers so I think you'll be ok.
@@josephhogue one percent is still a large number, plus they've been trying to play it off rather then being honest, so can't be too sure.
I hear the citi double cash is no longer offering 1% off purchases plus another 1% when you pay the bill. Many have gotten letters saying this 2% offer is ending soon. Not sure if you read the fine print but you may want to. Just a heads up as I also was considering this card. I have a capital one card and they say anyone affected will get a letter in the mail with a offer of free credit monitoring.
Hello I got a fake number from equifax on my computer gave up my last 4 digits of my social plus other information how do I get the fake charges reversed if I see some?
Check each of your three credit reports to see where the charges show up and contact each bureau to dispute the charge.

Recently, I applied for a citibank card and they told can't process it because it was freeze. I don't remember freeze it myself. But I could be wrong. Any thoughts??
Only thing you can do is visit each of 3 credit bureau websites, look for 'freeze/unfreeze' credit and go through the process

I called the number for the Experian services to freeze my account, but it turned out to be a number for Consumer Information Bureau. I looked up Consumer Information Bureau on the Internet, and several people reported that they were scammed by them. I cannot talk to Experian directly to find out if the Consumer Information Bureau is a legitimate branch of Experian. Not too sure what to think.
Not sure what number you called but all the info in the video is direct to the credit bureaus. You don't need any other services to freeze your credit, just go straight to the credit agencies.
What about Innovis? did you for get about that credit bureau? INNOVIS!!! let people know about Innovis, why is Innovis kept such a secret? hey everyone, go look up INNOVIS as well!

Tranunion website shows you can freeze or lock your credit for free.
It's something a few of the bureaus have been experimenting with, mostly off and on.
Don't lock, on freeze. Locking allows the credit bureaus to continue selling your information. It also removes their liability if your information is stolen.

I used a credit monitoring service for years, paying hundreds of dollars, before I figured out how easy it was to freeze credit reports.
this is bad advise. do NOT freeze your credit. My credit score has taken a 50 pts hit because I did this. I had a 750 now it's 699 and has stayed there for 2 years.
Freezing your credit doesn't hurt your score. There's something else going on that's hitting your FICO...and learn how to spell advice.
@@josephhogue they can't explain to me why it dropped. The only thing that changed,. A credit freeze. Also, I have recently paid off a 17500 loan over 3 years and my credit remains at 699. My brother with no job and no credit cards has a 760 credit score. This whole credit bureau nonsense is just complete bullshit with no rhyme or reason how they come up with their scores. If you inquire about a loan it takes a 40 to 50pt hit. If you pay off a loan, nothing.

More proof is now that I unfroze with all 3 companies to buy a house it went back to 740. Also noticed what lenders say my credit is from TransUnion ( their letter States this is who they used to check my credit)is 60pts lower than what trans Union tells me my credit is.
