Thank you! I just bought the Roku Streaming Stick and was having trouble with the volume control. After looking all over online, your video helped me discover the volume control on the side. (Feeling a bit dumb, but glad I found your video.)
I bought the Sideclick for my Roku 4, which is like poorly duct taping a universal remote to the side of the Roku remote, because I didn’t know Roku sold replacements that could control TV volume and power. However, the Roku website charges $5 for shipping, and Amazon does not sell the Enhanced remote at all. Not sure I’m willing to pay $35 for something that should have been included in the first place.

I have had two Roku tvs. Love them. Just got a new one last week. Never had a remote with a private listening/ head/earphone jack. I thought the newer one I got would have it, nope. I want one.
Just make sure when you're looking at the new remote that it says it works with a Roku TV. The remotes on showing here when I made this video were for Roku set-top boxes.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I just discovered today that the Roku phone app works as a remote control and you can listen to your Roku tv using your earbuds or headphones plugged into your phonejack, this is pretty cool. I also have three Roku remote types. The gaming remote will control my (vizio and sony) sound bar without setup as it works through hdmi and wifi. The voice remote can only control the bars with IR (need line of sight). The enhanced voice remote (brand new) will control neither as there are less codes available for this one. It will try only one Sony code for example when the basic one tries multiple. Both voice ones must be using wifi to send the voice command, so why can't they also control the bars the same way the gaming one does without setup, makes zero sense. Also depending on which roku I am setting up the control for, I will have different brand options for controlling the tv. One stick will show Epson for my projector, and the ultra doesn't have epson. So I have to program on the stick roku for the tv and then reconnect to the ultra. This has been a major wtf to figure all this out, which I haven't yet done to my satisfaction. The remotes are clearly getting worse the newer they are.

Is there a phone number so they could walk me through the problem! I get no lights at all on my remote! Cox use to have a number!! But that won't help me now! Thanxs
The remote there on the right must've come with the 3800 stick, ie: it looks exactly like the point anywhere remote I received with my 3800 stick. Works just about any IR commanded TV nicely and also works fully with my 3600 Roku. So if you have a 3600 and need a remote, this will provide all the 3800 features (it does in my case).
The newest remotes (not shown in this video) also include a mute button on the side just below the volume buttons Your smart phone works better than any of these remotes and also includes the best feature - private listening.
Yats of the time I made this video they did not have the remotes with the mute button. Which in my view are a game-changer and a necessity. I do like that they added functionality can the Roku app for private listening mode. However I have family members who don't have smartphones so the remote is their best bet.
Yeah, but the Roku App on my LG G4 burns through the battery power quickly therefore I must keep my G4 plugged into a power socket and when I want to change to a different show I have to get out of the chair, pickup my G4 and if I am lucky I didn't lose the wireless connection [yeah it stinks we have slow DSL] and change to a different Stream. Mine is different then those. Mine is Roku Express. The 4 bottom buttons are netflix, Roku channel, google play and the last one is CBS all access. No pairing button on bottom. No power button at all. I found your video when I searched how do I turn off my Roku Express. 🤦🏻♂️Still no answers..
The power button on the Roku remote is to turn off the TV. The Roku is themselves go into a power saver mode. They don't actually turn off.
i have a 3400x roku stick from 5 years or 6 years ago and i plugged it into an old ELEMENT TV just now and it worked for some reason. even the old element remote works with it. the pause button only works once in a while and maybe i will try getting that stick remote you showed on the right for 20 dollars. how do i order that. is there a model number?
Can be gotten from here: www.roku.com/products/accessories/player
Mine looks completely different from all of those. Doesn't even have the dumb tag at the bottom.
Did you get the remote with a Roku device? All Roku remotes from Roku itself have the tag at the bottom even the new ones now.
Do you have a link to the second standard remote with the head phone jack? Or are you selling it?
www.roku.com/products/accessories/player
How you open it
Press down on the back while moving it forward.
Would that final remote work with a roku express+ and could it be programmed to turn off an old school tv and adjust that tv volume?
Yes it should. My tv is over 10 years old and it turns it on and off just fine.
None of my roku remotes has appearing button
Most of the new ones don't. Simple putting batteries into the remote will have your Roku pick it up.
Can streaming Roku Streaming Stick+ Remote work with a TCL Roku TV in a pickle?
I'm not sure the TVs are a little different than their set-top boxes .
Bruh mine is thick has a and b headphone jack ir blaster and volume control?
Sounds like the re worked Gaming remote.
I got the Roku 4630X which one to use?
Top one on this page: www.roku.com/products/accessories/player (Voice Remote)
Do you know the model number of the second remote?
Sorry I do not know the model number looking at the Roku site it is called the Simple remote now. www.roku.com/products/accessories/player
I have a Sanyo roku TV I have tried to pair my headphones but it won't work......so I'm looking to buy the replacement remote in can plug my headphones into. Problem is I don't know which one to buy, or if it will work......I don't have a smartphone so that way is out of the question. Can anyone help me. Thanks.
They have streamed lined the remote offerings from when I made this video. To get what you are looking for you are going to need the Enhanced voice remote.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews sadly I can't find what I'm looking for it's not compatible with my Sanyo roku TV , and I tried the Sanyo web site too but no go. Since it was a gift I should complain but it's not my choice of Brands for tvs .Thanks for the suggestion
@@dawniedee30 I am sorry but if there is not a compatible remote listed on the site it might not be a supported tv anymore. I have to say I myself have never heard of a Sanyo Roku TV.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews The Enhanced Voice Remote will work with Roku tv's with these model numbers: Roku TV (model series 6000X, 7000X, C000X, 8000X, A000X) My Series 5 43" TCL Roku tv is 7116x and works with headphone jack on the Enhanced voice remote. Where my Insignia and hisense Roku tv's don't.

It does not look like it. Just the voice remote with TV on off.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Nice remotes
4 different remotes from Amazon. No pairing button on any of them.
This is a little older, most of the new ones will not have the pairing button anymore.
No the old and my new one...neither have a pairing button
A lot can change in 5 years.
I can’t get the back of my Roku 3 remote off can you help me with that? It looks so easy for you
You have to press down on the back plate a little and at the same time move it down ward. It helps if you use two hands to do it if it is giving you an issue.
Wanderer001 thank you that worked it was driving me crazy thanks again
Happy to help.
does the remote with private istening work with tcl roku tv?
That I am not sure about. I never tested one with a Roku TV.
Yes
Where. Do I buy these remotes

The middle remote is to closes to mine
Will a Roku voice control remote work with a sharp Roku TV
From what I see it should.
would any of these work on a 3500R?
Yes most Roku devices will work with any of the remotes. Some functions may not work if not supported by the device.

Thanks for posting that link. I wish I had checked your video first. I ordered a remote to replace my old one, and there was no pair button on it. After watching several videos that were only about enhanced remotes, I went to the roku site and got the same info that is on the link you posted. All I did to get mine to work was stand close to TV and point remote at sensor. I started pushing buttons on the new remote, and it started working. Yoy are helping a lot of people. Cheers.
How do you turn off Roku devices with remote without power button?
The power button on the Roku remote turns off your TV not the Roku it just goes into a power saver mode.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Nice remotes
Is there a phone number so they could walk me through the problem! I get no lights at all on my remote! Cox use to have a number!! But that won't help me now! Thanxs
Looks more like an FAQ page: support.roku.com/contactus/1
The remote there on the right must've come with the 3800 stick, ie: it looks exactly like the point anywhere remote I received with my 3800 stick. Works just about any IR commanded TV nicely and also works fully with my 3600 Roku. So if you have a 3600 and need a remote, this will provide all the 3800 features (it does in my case).
Yes it did come with the stick. And I use it with my Roku premier plus all the time. It has helped me get down to just one remote.
I need to get a replacement for my 3800 can you recommend one
You want the Roku voice remote on the tip of the page. www.roku.com/products/accessories/player
The newest remotes (not shown in this video) also include a mute button on the side just below the volume buttons
Your smart phone works better than any of these remotes and also includes the best feature - private listening.
Yats of the time I made this video they did not have the remotes with the mute button. Which in my view are a game-changer and a necessity. I do like that they added functionality can the Roku app for private listening mode. However I have family members who don't have smartphones so the remote is their best bet.
Except i cant get my remote to connect and pair
Which Roku device do you have?
Yeah, but the Roku App on my LG G4 burns through the battery power quickly therefore I must keep my G4 plugged into a power socket and when I want to change to a different show I have to get out of the chair, pickup my G4 and if I am lucky I didn't lose the wireless connection [yeah it stinks we have slow DSL] and change to a different Stream. IT sucks because I remember when TVs didn't have remote controls! I still hope to fix my Roku remote's pairing issue and/or purchase a new remote
@@ashelythompson884 That's sad because I have 20NNTCL roku T is and it don't work on either one of them either cannot parrot. Can't? Do. Anything? Roku's 3500 remote works on Roku 3600?
Most of the new model roku's are backwards compatible with the older remotes.

They don't all have a pairing button. FYI.
Most should, they might not all be purple.

What is the ANDERIC Streaming Media Player Remote?
Can not say that I have heard of it.
Not all Roku remotes have a paring button!
That is correct some remotes do not. However the remotes that don't have a pairing button you simply put the batteries in and aim it at the Roku and it pairs itself.
How do I remove this app
Which app?
2:46 runs AAA 🔋 s
Meh I don’t give a fringe about them stream things I don’t get it can do one tell me what the romp stick does
the remote for the Premiere is a pos no volume and no power button? you basically need to buy another remote and watching all the videos on here no one has mentioned this problem??? i know you can use your phone but if you make a product make it fully functional not missing key things i like the Roku but this pisses me off!!!
I know what you mean sometimes I feel they don't give you as good of a remote in the hopes that you just go out and buy a new Roku device.
Just want to know functions of symbols
Most of the remotes are pretty similar now, this should help you out: ruclips.net/video/j6m3qvjWXnA/видео.html
How come the Roko remote control does not have numbers on them I do not understand this remotes I have to use the arrow key buttons to get to my channel that I want instead of pushing the number button 🤔
The remotes are made for streaming services not so much regular tv use.
Apparently my remote is old because it doesn’t look like these and has stopped working.
Actually most of these remotes are on the older side. What Roku device do you have?
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I have a Roku TV, it doesn’t have a device or anything. The remote stopped working but our other remote works for both TVs that is the same kind.

A plethora wouldn't exactly be 3 devices
True they do have more devices but I only had three for demonstration purposes.
No roku remote will control your sound system not even the one that can control your tv . I would rather have the ir blaster be able to control my sound on my sound system than turn on and off the tv .
Nope nothing happening

No pairing button this thing is junk
Can you get to the point!
Ya that lead it took a lot of time, I have learned a lot in the 5 years from when I made this video.
None are right I don’t like Roku TVs
These remotes are actually for Roku set top boxes not the TV. But everyone has their own likes.
Reason why because you cannot go quick to go down Disney+ and no CBS antenna channel Roku took that off and decided to be more pain in the butt on the CBS app And a freeze too much I do like Amazon fire tv’s and vizio
@@Eatingicecream8034 There are new remotes that have a quick access button for Disney+ there is also an enhaced remote that lets you program 2 open buttons to go to the service you like. Those types of remotes were not avalaible 5 years ago when I made this video. As for the CBS channel it is not one that I use so I am not sure about it. I have tired Amazon fire and it is ok, just use Roku becuse it has one of the simpletst UIs out there.
I'd like a 'pointer' added to the remote to move across the Tv Screen to do actions quickly, which these remotes obviously lack. a Very Odd, even basic remote.. wake up !
