Sit stand desks are amazing! I went with Autonomous and did an Acacia 96" x 40" top, stained gray. Man I love this channel. Just a real cool place for creatives to come and kick back and get a few ideas for video, rigs, and personal spaces. Thanks for all the gems!

hows that tabletop holding up? im planning in getting a birch butcher block 74x30 and staining it walnut and mounting it to my autonomous desk frame but im afraid of it cracking/warping, any tips on how you did it?
@@thhisisnotherere yes, make sure that you don't rush the sanding and staining process. Give the entire process about two weeks, a day or so after each staining coat. Then make sure (this is where I messed up) that the area where the wood is curing is dry. No basements, no garages unless you live in an area where it's mostly dry. Humidity will also ruin the wood too. And don't leave it outside as the staining sometimes attracts bugs. they like the sweet taste.
OK, I'm sold on a standing desk. I definitely can't afford this particular one on a teacher's salary or being a newbie content creator. But I am motivated to find a great economical version. Just the idea of waking up and standing at my desk to avoid morning fog is a huge selling point. Your channel has been full of awesome ideas for me, thank you,
@@casmar2042 I am a woodworker and I have the shop to do so, so this is not the option for everyone. I built the same size in walnut for a total of $800 Dollars ($350 on stand, $450 wood). ( I spent $600 but I used the waste on other projects) But I understand their cost. If they build this for $800 dollars of materials, pay people to build it, say about $200, and ship the desk around $300. The other costs are consumables and wear and tear factored in. They also want a profit for their work. Most custom wood products anyone you find likes to see a nice profit margin for around 80%-100% mark up. If I would sell this desk out of my shop I would be selling this desk around $2000 plus shipping. So you would only save about $500 dollars going to a custom shop if you can't do it yourself.
is overpriced. You can get a better motor, Frame, movement, interface, & wood if you decide to buy it all. Go to fully to get the frame 350 lbs. Then go to your local saw mill and get a real walnut wood slab for CHEAP. 72x30 and everything was for barely broke $1,000. fully has an anti collision system as well.
Edward! Just wanted to say thanks. In the Ergonofis manual they say you have to hold the memory position buttons to get the desk to what you programmed, which kind of bummed me out. But from your video watching you "double tap" on them, I learned doing that can just get the desk to operate between the memory levels without you holding anything. Loving my desk so far. Thanks again :).
I’m looking for a new desk setup. But I want to add my flight simulator on it. Do you think it moves a lot if pushing forward and back on the desk when using a flight yoke? Using it on a lower setting to move the yoke is the setting I’m looking for. So I want to make sure I can get a sturdy enough desk.
Hey Edward, thanks for the video. I’m hoping you can help me with some dimensions. I ordered the Ergo Frame (I’m getting my own desktop - which I can customize the length). I was wondering if you set your desk at the maximum width of the frame. If so what is the length from outside leg to outside leg? Also, how far below the desk does the frame protrude? Ergonofis doesn’t have any measurements for the frame...their sales/support has been less than timely on any responses either.
Hey Adriano, When I got mine, it came with pre-drilled holes in the desk already so I didn't have to manually choose how far I wanted the desk to stick out. But the desk top probably protrudes about 2 inches on the sides in relation to the frame position. The frame below the desk is pretty slim. Probably one comes down about an inch. Hope this helps!
Any idea how much the feet weigh? Comparing this frame to the iMovr frames. And can the control button module be installed under the desktop, like other brands', if one chooses to use their own top?
Hi. I noticed when you press the control for the height adjustment the whole screen goes down . I wonder if this is an issue? Or is it just the way it was design. It does comes back after pressing.
Yeah it is a bit pricey. In my opinion it is worth the money if you're looking for something all natural wood and large. They are also really good about customer service.

A $2,000 desk you could build yourself in a few hours with a Topsky $200 dual motor standing desk frame + $300 solid wood maple butcher block top (Lowes). So you spend $1,500 extra to save yourself about 45 hour of assembly & 2 x 30 minute staining sessions. Yikes.
