RGB can work, but the whole unicorn vomited across every square inch of my desk, PC and peripherals look is ridiculous. I might be getting old! I just want a nice warm orange glow here and there. Desk lights, soft keyboard light using RBG, edison bulb dimmable desk lamp, maybe a Nixie tube clock on a shelf...

Wel i agree with anti rgb, but have 1 led strip at the back on my desk and it really adds to the warmth of the room, so it can be helpful. But yeah I agree with not having a rainbow of colours everywhere

Oh my god, I have recently started changing the way I dress and my aesthetic. This desk setup is exactly what I have been trying to aim for. Something for an adult. This looks classy, professional, minimalist, but still has power for the casual game or two. I am in love with this whole thing.
I had that kind of setup colors (black--brown). Based on my experiences, it looked great at first, but got old fast. After a while, the colors of the room felt like they're draining my energy. It's quite depressing and forlorn, actually. I then changed to a mostly white, with black/light wood complements, and the room became welcoming and delightful, and got me motivated to work again. Will never go back to black.

One of my favorite things mentioned is paying homage to your childhood foundation by including things that influenced you as a kid like video games, I feel like doing this is A MUST for every home office set up :)

I’ve always been into tech , creativity, and just small details about how things look or the spaces I have but never taken the time to venture out until this year ; seeing people like you and knowing there is a community around this stuff has really gave me a getaway from life and it is wonderful. Really enjoy the setup and it's refreshing to see something outside the box of RGB lighting (They are cute but they don't fit my taste and I do like when some use it in a subtle way..however, I won't go out of my way to buy them just to select a certain color LOL) Love the use of texture and patterns throughout the room and love the idea of code spine! it's so unique! thank you for showing us your setup!

As someone who likes a more simplistic but still impactful gaming set-up, this is a dream. I don’t dislike RGB, I just see it as an accent instead of needing everything to have RGB lighting. Like, my keyboard with the customizable lights? Hell yeah. That’s fine - I just can’t have a pastel bright RGB room that looks like a sad attempt at a rave. This definitely inspired me, so thank you!

If I could afford ergonofis I would get one in a heartbeat. I love the company itself, and that desk is incredible. Unfortunately not in the budget for a college kid.
You may not be able to afford it now but it is something you can aspire to get in the future. You may be surprised to see what you can actually achieve as long as you set your eyes on it.
