Edit: Quick correction, the light wood option I called "Oak wood" is actually "Ash wood". idk how many of y'all made it to the VERY end of the video, but today marks the 7 year anniversary of Paper Melon! Yeehaw. For now, all I'll say is I'm incredibly proud of how far my video producing and editing has come over the years. This all kinda feels like an oddly appropriate way to celebrate how I've grown as a freelance video editor AND an independent creator. Thank you guys for always watching, especially those of you who even watch my videos that the algorithm likes to completely ignore lol. You're the best and you mean the world to me!
I have never heard of you before this video, but your disposition and transparency made me feel like you deserved a sub. Keep up the great work your doing.
I just found your channel through the funny captimus video, and I'm really glad I did! The experience you have in editing really shows, it's rare to see videos of such high production quality about things I actually care about. This was one of those rare times that I instantly sub to a channel and turn on notifications, because I'm sure I'll never want to miss a video from you. Oh, and I'm pretty picky about desks too :))
Big congrats to you for over 7 years of this channel, by the way. That's a really long time to be dedicated to something, and hopefully that means you enjoy it and plan to continue! I guess there's a pretty big backlog of videos for me to binge now...
This comment made my day, thank you man! Means a lot. I noticed the same thing, not much quality videos on the nerdy stuff I like. I’m happy I accomplished that for you!
Thanks for the review, I almost went with this desk. It looks really great. The only issue for me is it doesn’t go low enough. And I’m 6’0”. For my body, being able to go down to about 26 inches would be much more comfortable.
Ironically enough, that’s one of the exact reasons I chose this desk. It goes lower than any standing desk I’ve ever used, and that was also pretty important to me.
It’s really awesome tbh. No regrets, I would’ve happily spent the money to buy it myself going back. For the sub-premium $900 price tag category, nothing beats in imo
Nope, motor’s solid. I use the brighter colored desk as a filming table for my videos, so I move it around a lot and after a year I had to flip it over to tighten the screws under the legs. But again that’s only because I moved it around so much. Everything else has been great.
Yep, it’s the stand bundled together with the LG Ergo 32 Ultrafine monitor. It’s not sold separately, only comes with the display, but it’s the best deal you can find when it comes to desk monitors. a.co/d/4ksRZ9e

Where did you get the additional shelf for this desk? Thanks!
Great honest review. You should review more tech/stuff you use that isn't necessarily toy related
I like the way you think lol. I've been trying to diversify into different kinds of tech and toy reviews, so I'm glad this opportunity fell in my lap.

great vid bro what the hell this needs more views
Excellent video. I plan to buy one.
ive never been more interested by a desk
Great video. What are you using to shine light on the wall behind the monitor/desk?
I use a Hue strip light behind the desk and a Hue monitor gradient light around the rim of the monitor :)
It’s a year later. How’s the desk doing now? I am considering this desk, DeskHaus Apex Pro, Uppeal and Uplift. They all have their pros and cons.
It’s really awesome tbh. No regrets, I would’ve happily spent the money to buy it myself going back. For the sub-premium $900 price tag category, nothing beats in imo
Great video!
What size is the monitor in the video and what band arm do you have it on?
It's a 32" LG Ultrafine 4k. The Stand came packed with the monitor for really cheap on amazon. Amazing deal. fantastic monitor/arm.
Great informative video and a nice setup! I was curious, where did you get that desk topper your speakers sit on?
that's the Oakywood walnut desk shelf. Painfully expensive, but it was the only one I could find that fit my exact style and size preference lol.
Great, thank you!
How is the desk after a year? Any issues at all with the motor or in general?
Nope, motor’s solid. I use the brighter colored desk as a filming table for my videos, so I move it around a lot and after a year I had to flip it over to tighten the screws under the legs. But again that’s only because I moved it around so much. Everything else has been great.
@@papermelon That is great to know.
thank you for the reply! I have bought one yesterday, thank you again for the review and your inputs
Would you mind sharing what monitor stand that is? Thanks.
