This is probably Nate's most impressive RC jet flight ever!!! This huge electric rc jet hits speeds over 100mph! This rc edf jet is the E-Flite Viper 90mm and boy is it impressive!!! This massive EDF screams through the air and can pull of some incredible aerobatic maneuvers. Flying on 6s power, we would not recommend this RC for beginners; however, with safe technology an intermediate pilot should be able to handle it and build up their skills enough to be able to tear up the skies with this giant rc jet!

Back in the day I had a glider, called the "Gentle Lady". It was only a two channel. Is there anything out there with prop assist that easy to fly? Love your RUclips videos.
Used to fly with my dad when I was younger but old school RC's. Blue Max radios. Flew sail planes. One of ours had a fiberglass fusage with a 101 inch wingspan, so cool. Thanks for your information and flying skills.

Awesome flight video! I have 4 flights on mine and it is already my favorite airplane to fly. If anyone is interested in doing a strobe light mod, I installed a Unilight strobe controller under the plastic receiver tray and replaced the red LED on the fuselage (top side) with a white one. Hook up the top and bottom fuselage LED's to the controller and now you have adjustable strobe light patterns!

Great flight and such a great Jet love the Viper, would love this 90mm version but I could get 2 planes for the price of this one so I went with The Valiant and the 70mm Viper.

Awesome flying man. I hope to get as good as you one day. My dream was to be a pilot but life took me on other paths. Flying rc just takes me to that childhood place where I dreamed of flying. I know how you feel. Not ready for this one just yet working my way up with the Habu STS instead of jumping into something I can't handle. Again awesome flying and great video.

Fantastic flight skills.I'd love to upgrade my Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk,All balsa construction.Covered in Monocote.Has almost a 7ft wingspan and I think the res retracks now that could be fitter.Still as the mid to late 90s electronics and a 0S 60 nitro motor.Just wonder if it could take the wind for sea being a balsa built kit from the 90.Its still a fast acrobatic sport flyer.With full airolons.And is such a beautiful bird in the clouds.Just not sure if I should upgrade everything or fly as it was build.Be nice if the manufacturers made a foam model with at least a 72 inch wingspan.Oh well just wishful thinking I guess.Happy holiday flying.
Love both Vipers as well. You mentioned high alpha, you should look at Synaesthesia's videos. He's able to get unreal high alpha by programming crow on a switch. BTW, what are you doing with the sticks when you "snap" it?

Turned on my tablet, there awaiting, a video of the Saylor's making. Knowing the quality they do render, _lightly_did I tap the ( like ) of Appreciation. Nates favored jet flew thru the air, lights all aglow as he tumbled & twisted with skill, and a bit of flair. Steadfastly Abby stood by her Man videoing his flying. It was so beautiful I might have started Crying 😥😢😥😿😹😹. When all was said, and done Nate performed a neat little landing, this time without crashing. 😄😁😄. So thank you to the Saylor's for a fun flying day, everyone I watch really makes my day. ⚓⚓👍💜💚💛👍😢🦃😹👍⚓⚓.

Full flaps are for reducing speed before landing. 10-15% is for take off. But I love the sound of a multi-bladed fan. It sounds like a jet, not an angry vacuum cleaner.
I have the 70mm and just got the 90mm delivered. In your opinion, is the 90mm easier to land? I have had the worst time trying to land the 70mm and I refuse to fly the 90mm until I can master landing the 70mm

Until the ESC overheats and briefly shuts down causing the receiver to reinitialize which causes the plane to dirt nap. It’s a good plane otherwise, but one needs to keep an eye on the ESC temps, check the ESC installation to make sure that it has been positioned correctly, and dress all the cables to insure max airflow through the ESC. One also should inspect all elements of the power system for defects and do some ground tests before the first flight, we lost a fan during an engine ground test when pieces of the ESC mount which had not been punched out correctly at the factory were sucked through the fan. That being said, the third one between my brother and I has been doing quite well after we did all the adjustments on it.

Hey Nate and Ab! Watching from just outside of Omaha NE. I've got a couple parking lot flyers (under $50 ones) basic 2 channel. I purchased a Spectrum DX6i (Jumped the gun before doing heavy research). Initially, I wanted my first jet to be the habu STS 70 mm because of the fact that it came with the safe technology and was actually a very highly recommended beginner jet. Now it seems that a majority of planes pretty much come standard with safe or the receivers recommended for beginners would be ASX3 or the safe technology. Do you feel that the habu would be a good beginner? I believe I saw the Habu SS 50 mm for around 180 dollars and that was a I believe pnp I do know that they also have a BNF model as well. Do you think the DX6i is an okay transmitter to use on any hobu? And I also purchased a receiver that had a satellite with it as well but I think it was an older model. Any recommendations or tips you could give would be greatly appreciated. I planned to try to become an affiliate with some of the major brands and do pretty much what you're doing now on RUclips just fly the planes give honest opinions and reviews and enjoy a new hobby.

I love watching your camera work capturing some of the best flying (Nate, here's your Kudo) on RUclips. Never had a chance to meet you two, but I'm not that far away (S.W. Missouri) and would love to fly some formation with Nate. Wanna do some streamer combat? Your 70mm Viper Vs. mine? I know Abby can make BOTH of us look good! Yeah, I know, no propellers. Razors on the leading edge? We could start a new sport, EDF streamer dogfight? Any takers?

I consider my self a very keen but pilot maybe low intermediate (5 planes under my belt, 12months) would you jump over the 70mm and just go for this 90? What is main difference in ‘flying’. Nice to see the bigger plane in the sky, both need to jump to 6S anyway. Thoughts ?

Sadly I do not own that plane! Never “loved” Extra 300s, only because of how they fly. Might have to pick one up this year though, as I don’t foresee a lot of new releases coming out due to the shipping issues.
@@TheRcSaylors Nate my Friend. You need to try Grandpa G’s Extra 300 if you havn’t. I really think you will love it! Was the first plane I bought with the night timber to get myself back into the hobby and I love it! I love my Viper 90mm more but the Extra 300 is a hoot. I can almost guarantee it will put a smile on your face. Great Job Guys! Love your videos always.

Hey everyone! A few months ago I moved out in the country and live on on a fairly big field. I’ve always been into rc buggy’s, boats, and truggys but I don’t have any experience with a plane. I know there’s tons of videos but what would you guys recommend as a good beginner plane?
If you go back a few videos Nate and Abby just did their top 5 beginner planes. Personally I went with the aeroscout for my first. Its a great fun plane. No matter how advanced you get, you will still enjoy flying it. Be sure to check out their vids on beginner planes and if you are thinking about buying a plane I bet they have a video on it. you just have to look.
Hobbyzone Carbon Cub S2 RTF is a great choice for learning to fly RC planes. It has SAFE which self levels, virtual fence to keep from getting too far away, as well as auto land feature. My 10 year old son flies his together with me flying mine and we have a blast!! And when you’re ready you can switch SAFE off and do aerobatics with the Carbon Cub!! Check it out!

I am super new to flying and want to get into it. I drive RC cars. I love my bashers but I want to get a plane. Ideally I want something that can survive a crash and that is good for a beginner that won’t break the bank. I would prefer to fly outdoors as I don’t have a larger indoor space like a gym. Any recommendations?
The Eflite Apprentice is your best bet
Get the small Turbo Timber. It's a perfect starter plane for the money

Jets arent my thing, but they do impress m me. Personally i prefer powered gliders. My favoret glider was a pheonex ll. A chines plane, i planted it. Got its brother thats convertabke from 1.5 m to 2 m i think it is. Got a huge bixler pusher. Its 3m, and a almost 5 foot fusealage. Need to maiden her one day.
I hear you. I have the Staufenbiel Epsilon XL3 and Staufenbiel Mantis and alsoctge Robbe Mistral and they are all great. All have a Vario in Them.

Depends on the battery, and how you fly it but maybe five minutes on average. Could push as low as three and a half or as much as seven or eight minutes if more docile flights.

Oh I’ve seen people fly these off of pretty small parking lots. We are just lucky to have the space we do to fly. I wouldn’t fly this in a kids baseball field, but it will take off and land quicker than you’d think!
