Why not make Myers’ stay the same terror radius at tier 2 (while keeping the other benefits), but as soon as you hit a survivor that survivor then hears your terror radius until they’re downed. This would improve his stalking and the jump scares which make him fun and also add to his power.
3:40 As a Hag main another main thing you can do is pay attention to where the hag is placing her traps. When shes getting ready to pick up a survivor get ready to trip as many traps as you can. The Hag cannot teleport while carrying a survivor and typically the amount of time it takes to hook a survivor is the amount of time that a trap is activated. This is by far the easiest way to clear a Hags web out from a particular part of the map. I cant express just how little this is done against me. I can say that I have been in games where players are aware of this and have been able to clear out upwards of 7 traps in the time its taken me to hook a single survivor. This is a significant impact to her control over the map.
The repressed alliance counterplay you mentioned for freddy is even better against blight since every single one of them runs ruin/undying/pop/tinkerer.
I think there is something you could point out with pig, being that you always want to loop around pallets that are in close proximity to other loops so that you can leave the loop safely when she crouches. I main pig and what we like to do around loops is a 50/50 where we crouch at the pallet and either ambush, usually hitting them, or uncrouch and catch the survivor leaving the pallet if they do. Usually as a survivor you want to leave the pallet and making sure you can reposition to another pallet loop makes sure that the pig cant hit you if she uncrouches. I mean, sure, chaining tiles together counters every killer, not just pig, but iron will counters every killer, not just nurse, so i feel like it probably deserved at least a mention
@@uwutrashyuwu5044 you dont know how prove thyself strong is. Especially in coordinated team. bc you dont waste time when stacking on a gen. Normally you get minus percante but prove negates that. @@jakub0641 Oh trust me I see the value prove thyself gives you. It’s just usually not worth. Newbie huntress tip, lullaby has a radius of pretty much twice the regular terror radius, so don't panic as soon as you hear it cuz she's still likely half a map away 😂
"Typically Deathslinger can't handle dropping the pallet early, its not like he's going to shoot you and drag you all the way around the pallet." Anaxandra: "You fools! You've fallen for my trap card!"
Additional clarification on deathslinger: you don't want to dodge left to right not just for the reasons stated but also because every deathslinger just wants to m1 you first then shoot you right after, meanwhile if you force them to shoot you as their first injure you get to sprintburst away while they have to reload.. they will catch up to you on the other side of the map. God this killer is so boring lol

@@MrOnePieceRuffy aah I get. Yea a chase is definitely the most fun aspect in this game. Like basically every multi-player right? I am currently at only around 500h. So seeing all those multiple 1000 of hours players I consider myself still a baby. :D but I definitely get that a good chase and plays to safe someone are the things that make this game. Not the Gens or totems.
One thing for pig, listen out for that little “slit” noise for when the pig stands up and the blade retracts. That means they’re close and are about to grab you
I think Spine Chill should no longer work outside the killer’s terror radius because not only does it invalidate multiple perks but it pretty much negates stealth killers. And some people will say the perk is fine but the counter to it is obnoxious and time consuming because you keep bumping into stuff but you can’t look at them or your power gets predicted by a single icon lighting up but they also gain speed bonuses and the perk helps them against mind games as well. It is not fine nor fair for a perk to have such a strong effect that it affects multiple aspects of the game.
Great advise, only problem with pyramid head is that he can still hit you with his punishment if you stun him (unlike huntress or nemesis), so stunning him is still risky.
I bought trickster quite recently (only killer I didn't yet have) and tried him out for a while. He was awful. I quickly realised that his knifes barely do any damage at a distance and it's often the best play for you to just play like an M1 killer untill you're rubbimg against the survivor and then decide which weapon to use depending on what's around you. I now abuse that knowledge whenever I play against a trickster. Don't try to loop, don't try to dodge knifes, just keep running from cover to cover and if he keeps going for his knifes, he'll take ages to down you. While holding W is a good strat against any killer. It's especially effective on trickster. Usually 110% speed killer's powers are very lethal and the speed decrease is a balancing act, so most 110% killers can get to you when you're holding w despite having a hard time catching up. Trickster does not have that luxury,
Yea it's so fun at the beginning of the round. When you run a tile, where also a totem can spawn. And you panic because you don't see the totem, so you assume there is a trap. Little do you know it is a totem just outside the tile. But you are so convinced it's a trap you leave the tile and run out if position right before he hits you, you see the totem. That proccd your small game the whole time. And you realize. Looking on the ground is way more effective
Any sort of god window or long pallet is completely impossible for Victor to loop as long as you time it right. It's also extremely difficult for him to hit you on stairs.
Added thing for Pig, be very careful around short loops Good pig players will use their ambush at short loops to bait a pallet drop and meet you on the other side before you can vault Sometimes pig players will crouch, growl so that you leave the loop, then keep chasing you and get a hit that way Basically just be careful around short loops and be very attentive
Scott make another video where you discuss actual counters through gameplay and not through perks/items, because I think it'd be too late to bring a map with a red twine when I've already loaded into a game with a Trapper.
there is no counter to trapper in solo queue. he's easily beaten but unless you have perks / maps / callouts from people you pretty much just blindly loop til you step in something and die
He did make a few suggestions that I thought were spot on. His recommendations for faking pallet drops vs PHead and using smaller round “trash loops” against Billy, Bubba and Huntress specifically I can confirm are great strats as I play those killers and survivors that do those things are the hardest to down. Also use strong perks. I always have an exhaustion perk unless I’m having fun with a goofy build that I don’t intend to win with. And If you suck at looping, you should practice with a friend that’s a decent killer. If you can’t practice than have some patience. You will learn to play against that specific killer eventually. But playing _as_ that killer you’re struggling to understand can make a world of difference on learning to counter them. Even if it’s just in a private match with your buddies.
@@ScottJund Yeah I know, but what I meant was you could say players should try to look at the ground, avoid grass when they're just moving around, avoid/check shack window and corners, and also, since dead hard is common and useful against pretty much any killer, you could mention how you can use dead hard to dodge through traps. Not that I'd need the video (been playing the game for quite a bit), it's just a video idea that I think would've helped me a lot when I was a beginner. And also because I enjoy watching your videos regardless of whether or not I need the tips :)
@@ryanmaxwell5076 Don't worry about me lmao. I have around 2k hours in the game. I just like watching Scott's videos, and I think beginners would benefit from a video like that.
I mean half of these aren't really viable since you don't know what killer you're facing... so bringing specific perks + items for specific killers doesn't make much sense. While I get the intention, more actual gameplay counters would be appreciated. :)
Obviously you need to run Small Game, Urban Evasion, Iron Will, and Spine Chill every game. . . While also bringing a Rainbow Map AND a long-life Flashlight. Maximize those 'counters' every game. Edit: Oh and also run Unbreakable to deal with slugging killers, as well as Decisive Strike. With your 6 perk loadout and 2 items you can't lose.
@@fussel676 I run CS in basically every game. Arguably the best perk combined with iron will, and luck break. You do this thing called "vanishing". QnQ works well with this aswell
To counter Pig, you can run away from the loops when she crouches and roars. Some loops which can be dashed on, can become undashable If the pallet IS dropped early, not ALL though(even the House of Pain in Haddonfield can still be dashed even If the pallet IS dropped). Spine Chill won't really counter very good stealth killers, moonwalking denies spine Chill. 99ing the gens If someone has a hat (If you are on coms at least wait until the Second box has been searched) since the Pig could be running deadly Addons. If she herself IS running slowdown perks to counter 99ing(pop/Ruin) then someone must camp the gens and keep them 99% for as long as possible until at least one box IS searched. Alternatively repressed Alliance also counters pop/Ruin.
also flashlights are good against a wraith by blinding him taking him out of stealth or stunning him when he is getting out of his stealth since he will be stunned longer then usual
What would you think of slowing gens but adding in a mechanic where in if you get great skill checks you get an action speed increase for heals and gens. you have the bonus start at 2 sec of 150% and having the duration increase by 1 second to a max of 5 sec. The killer side is to make ruin be built-in for all killers but takes a few seconds before the gen begins to regress unless the killer kicks it to manually trigger it for perk like pop.
hmm I think a little bit of a problem here is that killers should not always avoid to M1. it's so often that a killer won't hit just because they want to get that chainsaw or hatchet hit. I think this can be a flaw with multiple players.
Dead hard is good against nurse also. That is, if she doesn't swing before appearing somehow. And you can dead hard through traps. Dead hard is strong in general, but those are two more interactions, I guess.
Flashbang is great against Wraith, highly recommend using it. I'm still practicing on perfecting the timing for when I go against Nurse, becuz getting the lightburn right when she finishes a blink is nothing short of satisfying. (Also gives her a double fatigue for some reason)
For the huntress tall rocks tip, do keep in mind if you've thoroughly pissed off a huntress she might literally climb the rocks and get on top of the loop to hit you, I'm not even joking, an angry huntress is something you should fear
Hey Scott, this is completely off topic but I wanted to know what are your thoughts about self care. I think that SC is looked at kinda like a baby survivor perk but is it really? Maybe it is better to just work on a gen instead of healing yourself but looking for someone to heal you (risking a down by sprinting through the map) while you can just heal alone is not that bad imo
3:26 You forgot to mention to find out where she is at the start so you can clicky clicky your flashlight to try to agro her to stop her from setting up.
yep! if you use it with quick and quiet and inner strength (activated) you can drastically improve your uptime of lucky break since you can just instantly hop into a locker (you might get caught so this isn't foolproof and you need to be mindful how you play) and heal basically right away
Legion tip I don’t see enough people do, you can take hits after you get hit in frenzy for your nearby teammates so they don’t get injured too. It’s most helpful against Thanat legions, that way it’s one or two injured instead of three or four. I’ve seen otz and Dowsey do it but not many others
I like running No Mither and forcing it to work in my favor. I always laugh when I go against a plague, because, ironically, it's a pretty big counter. You have no reason to cleanse, denying her of her power, you can't be slugged and you won't drop blood despite being injured all the time. The only thing that doesn't work is being 50% more quiet. The sickness noises negate that. Legion is also pretty neat to go against, you'll basically be injured against him anyways, so being more quiet, not dropping blood and not being sluggable are all free bonuses. The twins sometimes also suffer from No Mither. Sometimes you go down quite far from Charlotte when Victor jumps you and that could be enough time to get up. Screw Oni tho, totally negates the part that makes me not bleed.
Not sure if you forgot or what - and in the case that you did, honestly it's understandable - but Small Game doesn't tell you where traps are anymore, so it doesn't do much more vs Trapper than any other killer. Maybe I'm missing something though
Small game doesn't work on traps anymore. As a Nurse main, your counterplay will also only work against a bad Nurse. The best thing you can do is watch how she plays in the first chase and play accordingly in the next one. You can't create a solid counterplay to her, because every good Nurse plays differently. However, there's one thing you can count on against a good Nurse. They will watch you in chase to see what you'll do in the next one. I liken Nurse to a matching game, actually. Most survivors don't switch up their playstyle, so once you chase everyone at least once, it becomes a memory game. So play very predictably in the first chase, so that she thinks you never double back or always double back, and then switch it up next chase. Yes, this means you'll go down in two seconds in your first chase, BUT in your second one it might be a minute or longer if you're good. There are two semi solid counterplays to her 1: Don't bring an item so that she has no idea if you're vaulting or not 2: Run around a tire. I have had chases against me, a Nurse with over 5,000 hours on just her, extended by 30 seconds or more because the survivor ran around a tire. For some reason, they suck your weapon in and make you miss. You'll blink on top of them, swing, and your camera will turn for no reason and hit the tire. Very annoying to a Nurse. This only works on Autohaven though.
Power Struggle, Unbreakable, Tenacity, Flip Flop practically murders The Twins. I've had some fun games intentionally getting downed by victor because I know that if Charlotte isn't there in like 8 seconds, I can't be picked up.
For hag, instead of bringing niche and quite frankly shit items and perks, I suggest harassing her at the start. If she's looping someone, or increasing her web of traps, walking into her traps will either completely destroy the trap if she doesn't use it, or get pressure off the survor in actual danger if she does teleport. Doing this will waste her time, and allow you to maintain her map-pressure to be lower. Also, if you see it's a hag early on, harass her. Try to initiate a chase. Walk into her traps when you have an escape route, and she doesn't expect it. Don't let her have all the control of the map, maintain some level of power over her. If people just used these methods, I doubt hag would be a disliked killer. I actually think she's really fun to go against when you know how to play against her "seemingly" OP power.
Shack is the BEST tile to counter a good Blight, the walls are so inconsistent with how easily you slide off them, it is nearly impossible to catch a good survivor there as other tiles have pretty good collision to work with
Finally, someone who doesn't say "cleanse portals" to counter Demo and leave it at that. His main power is shred and portals barely affect the killer, cleansing them would just be a waste of time.
@@lejenddairy In that case, you obviously cleanse it. Though I do believe it's not the most effective way for Demo to use his portals in the first place. Maybe with lifeguard whistle.

i feel like repressed alliance should take the gen out of context, meaning if freddy is teleporting to it, and you RA it. it is almost like the gen disappears from the game for 30 seconds or whatever the RA timer is. not physically disappear but be un-targetable. so during the TELE, RA it, cancels the tele. would add that little bit of extra content for the perk, as well as more counterplay for freddy.
I'm not a fan at all of needing perks to counter a killer, not saying that this is even necessary because it isn't against lots of killers but against Spirit and Nurse without the right perks you're kind of screwed and gotta hope to the lords that they mess up and you win a few gambles, of course this counts mainly for really skilled nurses/spirits but still. 12:20 this is - unfortunately - such an effective move against basically all ranged/semi-ranged killers and it somewhat shows how little there is to the game when unique killers have pretty much the exact same "counter mechanics". I do this against Nemesis, Huntress, Slinger, Trickster, ... and it always works lol. It even works against lots of melee killers which is why my general advise to any Killer above Rank 9 is to simply not respect pallets but always hit through it (unless the person is an obvious insta-dropper). Killers lose so much time because... they're scared of the stun? Like what's the big deal with mashing the s button everytime you get to a pallet? You're gonna lose distance no matter what and worst case scenario at least the other guy gets a few more BP and honestly you'll probably still safe time in comparison to you standing there for like 4 seconds waiting for the drop and the other guy just faked the pallet-drop and is half-way around the loop already.
@@f1ollower140 he literally talked about 80 percent of the killer perks as if they were weak. In terms of weak its not when compared to all the other actual trash perks
@@dbdedits1 Only bad or average ones. I guess you can use dead hard to buy yourself 8 extra seconds, but a Master nurse basically can't lose. However, the chances of you finding someone this good with her is so slim that yes, you can do some plays against a nurse and have decent odds of winning most of the time.
@@coldnightwizard you are completly wrong. I can run a master nurse for at least 1 minuet 30 sec if I am hard-core existing but on average I wont die to a nurse ever
Trying to stun Legion in power should not be your main game plan. Keep pellets for when you are injured and they are not using their power. Splitting up and holding W is the best thing to do. Preventing Legion from snowballing by getting multiple hits makes their power much weaker. So getting hit the first time isn't that bad. You can make a lot of distance, and they can't use their power to get the 2nd hit it. Know when to stay injured - being injured makes it much harder for them to use their power. That doesn't mean you shouldn't heal; just keep in mind that delaying the game by forcing survivors to heal a lot is their gameplan.
Hey commentor! The one that’s scrolling down right now, yeah you. Do you wanna make a Wraith player contemplate suicide? Do you want to make sure that guy who has Wraith maxed out never play him again? Well I got 2 perks just for you! Just run Blast Mine and Flash Bang, and it guarantees that the Wraith will make sure you die that game! Is he chasing you and you hear him uncloaking without a wall nearby? Just drop the flashbang and you will probably escape while he’s burning. Does he have Pop and is coming to your gen while cloaked? Blast Mine will make him uncoak everytime he wants to kick a gen! This all comes with a cost of buying Leon and Jill, but that’s a small price to pay to be the biggest asshole to one killer in the game! This is your answer to that one friend of yours who is a Wraith main in customs, and this is the “I hate Wraiths with a passion” build. I guarantee you that you will piss off any Wraith you go against!
I would take blast mine and flashbang any day over the current set of meta perks. Beats playing against the most predictable and boring playstyles a survivor can be.
@@juansmith6318 The flash bang is just for light burning the Wraith, not for blinding. True, but as a semi Pig main, with the crouch speed addon you can fake going for a dash hoping the survivor leaves and have enough time to m1 them after that
or stand still because theyll always double back, if not you need to be ready to react, but yeah standing still just nullifies their entire dash, and on certain tiles if theyre small the pig will still get you anyway, especially if they see what youre doing

Literally. Any killer is countered by splitting up pressure on gens. No matter how fast they down survivors they’ll always loose
I mean that is the best thing you can do as surv, split up on multiple gens.
@@yws8800 Can you repeat that for my solo-q baby Dwight teammates with prove thyself please?
@@uwutrashyuwu5044 you dont know how prove thyself strong is. Especially in coordinated team. bc you dont waste time when stacking on a gen. Normally you get minus percante but prove negates that. So gen speed is still same as you all were split up. Prove thyself against ruin+tunkerer is very good for examplr
@@jakub0641 Oh trust me I see the value prove thyself gives you. It’s just usually not worth. The killer gets so much free pressure by disturbing multiple people on one gen which is completely denied by splitting up. You counter almost every gen regression perk and all map pressure a killer has by splitting up and still do gens at the same speed as you would with prove thyself without needing a perk slot for it
Good counter for Pig: When she goes into crouch they most of the time dont expect survivors to leave the loop, so just run away.
The sudden 'bye' at the end caught me so off-guard. Thought my video lagged out or something. :D Greats tips, Scott Spun'd!

Anaxandra: "You fools! You've fallen for my trap card!"
Nemesis’s zombies: pray your not on an indoor map.

Now every comment is going to be about small game. Good job, Scott
also for nemesis, idk why but on some loops if you crouch and hug the loop really tightly the tentacle won’t hit you so there’s that :>.
One thing for pig, listen out for that little “slit” noise for when the pig stands up and the blade retracts. That means they’re close and are about to grab you
Or pick spine chills and play with music.
Should've talked about Pig's ambush dash. When to abandon loops, what loops are safe even against her dash etc.
Trickster does not have that luxury,
Its perfect, I paused at 20s because he said Small Game vs Trapper.
Scott: Drop pallets early against Huntress
Me: *Game starts* drops shack pallet
Any sort of god window or long pallet is completely impossible for Victor to loop as long as you time it right. It's also extremely difficult for him to hit you on stairs.
does small game detect traps? i thought that was gone a while ago
Nah it doesn't detect traps anymore
Added thing for Pig, be very careful around short loops
Good pig players will use their ambush at short loops to bait a pallet drop and meet you on the other side before you can vault
Sometimes pig players will crouch, growl so that you leave the loop, then keep chasing you and get a hit that way
Basically just be careful around short loops and be very attentive

And just for the off chance of going against the rare doc, you need to unlock the 7th perk slot for calm spirit!
Obviously
@@fussel676 I run CS in basically every game. Arguably the best perk combined with iron will, and luck break. You do this thing called "vanishing". QnQ works well with this aswell

@@joaolima9622 literally the intention? Is there a non literal way of an intention?
Legend has it Scott is still waiting for his pizza to arrive
also flashlights are good against a wraith by blinding him taking him out of stealth or stunning him when he is getting out of his stealth since he will be stunned longer then usual
One for pig: if she does her little dash trick at short loops, make distance. It take a while for her to go in and out of crouch.
hmm I think a little bit of a problem here is that killers should not always avoid to M1. it's so often that a killer won't hit just because they want to get that chainsaw or hatchet hit. I think this can be a flaw with multiple players.
Something to add for Pig: if she crouches at the opposite side of the loop from you, run to the next loop.
I love how informative Scott’s videos are
For the huntress tall rocks tip, do keep in mind if you've thoroughly pissed off a huntress she might literally climb the rocks and get on top of the loop to hit you, I'm not even joking, an angry huntress is something you should fear
Nemesis' biggest counter is just whichever map screws over his zombies the most.
In which case, Red Forest will always do that.
Pig is kind of like Wraith
In which she has good chase game at small to medium loops
but bigger loops and windows turn her more into an m1 killer

@@destindarksoul oh so if u heal really quick u can get like 3 short uses?
yep! if you use it with quick and quiet and inner strength (activated) you can drastically improve your uptime of lucky break since you can just instantly hop into a locker (you might get caught so this isn't foolproof and you need to be mindful how you play) and heal basically right away
It's good idea if u both very close to each other. Otherwise spread out and do the gens. Legion mostly ignore first survivor and let him go.
@@Asura2k yeah, don’t run across the map but if the two of you are together then you can take a hit
Maybe I'm missing something though
he forgot or its old video
There are two semi solid counterplays to her
1: Don't bring an item so that she has no idea if you're vaulting or not
2: Run around a tire.
The only Counterplay to Nurse is running to the Edges of the Map to waste her time.
@@TheKing-wf9es And what I wrote. I have more hours on just Nurse than most people have in DBD, so I'd say I know counterplay to her.
Any chance we could get an updated version? :)
20 seconds into the video and Scott already fucked up Small Game.
classic scoot
Power Struggle, Unbreakable, Tenacity, Flip Flop practically murders The Twins. I've had some fun games intentionally getting downed by victor because I know that if Charlotte isn't there in like 8 seconds, I can't be picked up.
Starting out strong with Small Game, thank god you are not absolutely wrong since it definitely did not get nerfed recently
Tip for Deathslinger
If you ever have the Option of taking a M1 or a M2 if Healthy
Take the M2
He can actualy chew though Bt With a M1 Into M2 Combo.
Shack is the BEST tile to counter a good Blight, the walls are so inconsistent with how easily you slide off them, it is nearly impossible to catch a good survivor there as other tiles have pretty good collision to work with
My addition to Spirit is Spine Chill, if they are in Phase or not you know that pretty much to 100%
Finally, someone who doesn't say "cleanse portals" to counter Demo and leave it at that. His main power is shred and portals barely affect the killer, cleansing them would just be a waste of time.
Yep that’s true but he can also place portals right on hex totems and gens and detect survivors that way.

I half expected this video to be a compilation of Scott saying “hold w”
i feel like repressed alliance should take the gen out of context, meaning if freddy is teleporting to it, and you RA it. it is almost like the gen disappears from the game for 30 seconds or whatever the RA timer is. not physically disappear but be un-targetable. so during the TELE, RA it, cancels the tele. would add that little bit of extra content for the perk, as well as more counterplay for freddy.
Man, if the first 21 counters for each killer aren't enough, why would the 20 second counter work?
It's kinda sad realizing just how many killers are best countered by dropping pallets early and holding W
Have you made a video about like map gen, tiles, different loops, and terminologies for newer players?

@@dbdedits1 Only bad or average ones. I guess you can use dead hard to buy yourself 8 extra seconds, but a Master nurse basically can't lose. However, the chances of you finding someone this good with her is so slim that yes, you can do some plays against a nurse and have decent odds of winning most of the time.
@@coldnightwizard you are completly wrong. I can run a master nurse for at least 1 minuet 30 sec if I am hard-core existing but on average I wont die to a nurse ever
good thing that you can gamble which of the 20+ killers you gonna face so your build fits :)))
Awesome video and great idea! 👍Thank you!
Hello! I am here to leave the 4th "Small Game doesn't work on traps anymore" comment.
Calm spirit for doctor? Surprised you didn’t mention that
All these specific ass perks that counter 1 killer and with a 1 in 24 chance that it will actually pay off.
The Pig: Pray to god if she have tempered timer on and you miss your first three boxes.
So you have to keep the camera straight behind you when revealing Ghostface?
Beats playing against the most predictable and boring playstyles a survivor can be.
lightborn =GG
sound of grenade "metal click" Dodge sideways
GG
@@juansmith6318 The flash bang is just for light burning the Wraith, not for blinding. Also, the radius it can burn you is so big that I don’t think you can escape it unless you have both Windstorm addons. It’s not like you’ll always be in a loop too when he uncloaks, so good luck on most of the outdoor maps.

Ohh..

Iron Maiden for flashbang users
You should do a reaction to the SpringTrap character concept video that just dropped a few weeks ago!
Doesn't Lucky Break deactivate once its duration passes? At least that's what the dbd wiki says. How can you get value out of it throughout the game if that's the case?
Not really mentioning the fact that his power just doesn't work half the time, bottle hits dont slow down as it is rn
They do, like 30% of the time lol
