- On Thursday, 9th of May 2024, the Swanage Railway hosted the Diesel Gala preview day, this was a taster session in preparation for the three day Diesel Gala. This year, the visiting loco of choice was Western Champion D1015. This fine loco looks and sounds great, so I have put together this small video that captures her across various locations on the Swanage Railways network. Still nothing to beat a Deltic . Even the warning horn sounds a bit wishy washy .
Agree they are a true workhorse of the line 👍
Deltics are awesome machines but Westerns beat them in every way, sound, styling, charisma.
@@asprinklingofclouds The Western is the total package for sure! But the Deltic is also a very fine specimen.
