Hey Lazer, awesome video - it must have been amazing to see the Scotsman in the flesh - you looked so excited!!! :D Thanks for sharing - that was great! :D Sam :)
Hey there, LazeR JET! Great job on making this video of you visiting the Swanage Railway to see the official only sole-surviving Doncaster built L N E R class A3 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive known as the Flying Scotsman! Did you actually know that the famous locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley known as the Flying Scotsman just so obviously happens to be Gordon the Big L N E R class A0 pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive's only sole-surviving brother? It's completely obviously 100% true SINCE that's basically what I personally found out through some research!
I really want to see the Flying Scotsman, but I'd have to fly from the eastern coast of the U.S. to get there! I even told my parents, before I graduate high school, I want the three of us to go the locomotive in person!
Also, apparently for another fact is basically that I've especially knew that the famous locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley known as the Flying Scotsman certainly does INDEED happen to be Gordon the Big L N E R class A0 pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive's only sole-surviving brother 'cause he said it himself as the famous locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley known as the Flying Scotsman showed up for his character comeback in the movie titled The Great Race when Thomas met him over @ Vicarstown station BEFORE mentioning 'bout taking part in the Great Railway Show on the mainland!
That is a very special day for you to remember for life. The very first time I saw Flying Scotsman in action and rode behind her was on the East Lancashire Railway back in October 2016.
Excellent action pack video of Flying Scotsman in action on Swanage Railway Oliver 👍😉 I went to see the famous engine in action at Swanage yesterday and I really enjoyed it.
i have also been on the footplate of the flying scotsman but not only that i have sat in the drivers seat. it was at kings cross on 11 january when it wwas the mcalpine memorial RIP Sir william mcalpine
The A3 may not be my favourite engine but was such a privilage to work on the footplate of it in August 2018, can really appreciate the history and the work they've put into getting it back and running
I know i have been gone for a while but i have to say that i really loved this documentary style video! Really professional! I hope you had a great time Oliver!
I can see why you was nervous it was excited nerves I had that emotion when I both went to the Mid Hants Railway & saw 60163 Tornado for the first time such an amazing feeling looks like you had a amazing day ✌🏻
Sonny Jim Coggin I saw tornado at the nene valley railway just by chance because she had been repaired there and needed to do a certain amount of miles before she could go on the mainline.
Sadly I first met Scotty when he had a hot box issue from Ely to norwich in 2017. Then met him again where rode behind on the NVR, and now, 30th May, my first Mainline trip behind Flying Scotsman from London. :D cannot wait! :D so glad Tornado is back too
What an amazing locomotive I’m happy you got to experience it. I saw it at the bluebell railway In Sussex and I got to sit in the driving seat. Once again I’m happy you got to experience it
Nice video! I'm glad you got to see the Flying Scotsman under steam, and actually got to stand in its cab! I liked that you high-fived someone on the other train at 10:09, which was pulled by T9 340120, which is also owned by the NRM
Hey, I really hope you had a great day out and that you enjoyed yourself! It really is a superb locomotive :) I like the way you film and make your vlogs, however myself and other's feel overdramatise these vlogs! It's a superb experience, but I feel you try to make your trips too movie style and less chilled back and relax! Again, hope you enjoyed yourself!
HEY OLIVER FUN FACT the flying scotsman actually took the observation carrage there on its 1969-1973 tour it was the first time in years since it was reunited
they didn't *need* to preserve this engine, or any in that matter, they could have just let steam die, but that's not what happened. People saw the engine and saw the sheer history in steam and tried their hardest to keep them running for as long as they can.
@@LaZeRJET I was going to go on it on the 23rd of march but they had to redo Union Of South Africa and so i am going at the end of April and you might be lucky that the tickets haven't ran out.
@@LaZeRJET Also this will be her final run on the mainline before she retires and she is my fav so i was thinking of me trying to get into the cab on where they drive her.
@@LaZeRJET Sorry if i keep replying but i got so much to tell you and if you want a union of south africa tee you can go get one from Bufferbeam which is a website. Oh and if you do go on the 27th of april you might see a 14 year old boy with a grey tee with union of south africa on it who is with his uncle that is me so i might say hello.

The green coaches look great. Some would say too much green. It's Scott's colour. It suits him.

I met Flying Scotsman for the first time at Melton Mowbray station.
Fun fact: that is scotsman's paint scheme when it was handed over to the br after lner disappeared and during world War 2.
