  • Let's take a look at the new Samba Models Prestige 2PK F5J. We install rudder/elevator servos. Hook up the pushrods and install the JR receiver.
Please be aware my model is Pre-Production. This means some minor details may change in production models and that my model has some imperfections do to rushed construction.

A trick for the RX antenna wires is to find very small heat shrink tubing feed it through from the outside of the hole to the Rx opening then take the Rx antenna wires and push them into the heat shrink tubing until they exit from the tubing. Finally pull out the heat shrink tubing leaving the Rx wires behind. You can then use the heat shrink tubing cut to maybe 5mm to slide over the Rx antenna wire to act as a a grommet. CA tubing to fuselage.

Excellent discussion on the Rudder and Elevator servo resolution. Nice work on the linkages and reasoning to go with them. I'm dying to learn about your range with the antenna placement AND whether or not you will need the Satellite! Loving my Vertigo at this moment for sure!!

I think you should try IDS on the next model. On ailerons in my windy/F3J I even fitted KST X10mini and use the smallest IDS servo horn. That means I use 115/95% of the travel in my JR XG11. On my lighter Prestige 2PK with MKS 6110HV I get 92/93 and 116/102% throw. The best about IDS (or even better LDS) is that when (not if) you develop slop in your output bearing you will not notice it in your overall slop. Just because the servo horn is smaller than what you manage on a standard servo horn. On my fuse installation in my windy Prestige 2PK I use elevator 121/121% and 74/83% on rudder (i have only 30mm throw). So I am pretty sure you can downsize your servo arms.
