  • The great adventure returns, THE LAST PADAWAN 2 is finally here!
A new and exiting STAR WARS fan film
To escape the planet of Dantooin, a lonely Jedi Padawan is forced to seek the help of an unreliable resistance fighter Isac Talus. With Imperial Stormtroopers everywhere, nowhere is safe for the Padawan. Especially not with a demonic, Imperial Inquisitor, still smelling blood after their last encounter.
    By the Director:
I’m sitting here. Trying to find the words that can explain the journey it’s been since I released the first LAST PADAWAN film, in 2016. I hope the difference between the two films can tell a part of that story. A story about dreaming big, and working hard. Making new friends and fighting for what you believe in. We love Star Wars and we hope you like our story. Everyone on this production worked for free and gave all they had to make it come to life. Enjoy!
    - Director, writer, producer, and forever Padawan, Jesper Tønnes

Hello there everyone!! Thank you so much for all your wonderful responses and comments. We've spent a lot of time and energy making this film, and you are all making it worthwhile! If you want to help the project further, and helps us fight for THE NEXT LAST PADAWAN FILM... Share the film with friends and other Star Wars fans. The popularity of this film means a lot in making the next one possible. Maybe we can even get THE LAST PADAWAN on Lucasfilm/Disneys radar. Everybody worked for free on this film, but we can't keep expecting that from our wonderful, talented crew. We need Lucasfilm/Disney to approve that we pay our crew. So share the film and help us tell the next chapter in the story about The Inquisitor, Jax.... and Padawan.
Once again thank you, and may the force be with you... always.

This is probably the most impressive Star Wars fan film I've ever seen, mostly because it dares to take the risk of being almost a one hour of film, but on top of that because it achieves to be flawless in term of rythm, narration, set up, imagery, cast AND acting (I mean, Jeez, every single character is super believable, even the imperials commanders do have a high presence on screen), editing, the CGI, the music (so faithful to the original style of the saga, but without overdoing it) and one of the most underrated side from the viewers: the sound editing. In a single word: the balance (you truly are jedi in movie making on that one x] ), it's perfect, and that's probably one of the hardest thing to maintain in a movie, which you did.
There's so many people whom try, to make their own Star Wars movies, and I'm so glad to live in a decade that allows more and more fans to bring independant productions to life, that are sometimes equal to movie theaters standards, but there's also a lot of those attempts which fail, because the ambition was too big in comparison of either budget, time or technicians on the project. And it is necessary to underline how hard it is to produce a fan film from the Star Wars franchise, because all has to be self-produced. Most of the time, best of the Star Wars fan films are not longer than 20 minutes, shorter is even more easy to handle. It's so hard to have a sustained rythm and quality of imagery on longer footage, it takes a lot of time and skills to process, and your team did, it was very bold, and you rocked at it. I can't thank you and congratule your team enough for your work.
Thank you, thank you for succeeding on such big project, I want to see the sequal, and I want to support you for the coming one, because your work is worth any single credit (republican or imperial) invested in.

Can we all just stop to appreciate that the one baddie thought to shoot the Padawan with three blasts at the same time so that they would be so much less likely to all be blocked? His plan would fail if the Padawan pressured them at all, but I have to admire when the villains possess some level of critical thinking.
I also found it to be a nice surprise that when the officer reported to the inquisitor that the Padawan was missing, but trackable, he was not dressed down and stabbed in a fit of rage, but instead given the benefit of the doubt. The writing was very good throughout. I hope you get to make part III. I'll be here when you do.

  • @christophergillette7167
    @christophergillette7167 Год назад +109

Seriously. This has more heart, more respect for every character, and greater attention to detail than the freaking Obi-wan show. When unnamed minor characters are given little moments of heroism, the villains feel like people, and so much energy is put into the combat, you know you've found a gem. And multiple strong examples of emotion and conflict being conveyed without needing dialogue. Love it. The first in this series was surprisingly good, and you've upped your game tremendously.

    • @raneknudsen4785

Personally, I'm quite impressed with the characters' accents. I mean, their Danish accents sometimes shine through - the two male leads are very obviously from Copenhagen, and the female lead probably from Eastern Europe (most likely Bulgaria), but in most shots, they do a pretty good job of it.

As a die-hard Star Wars fan, I wasn't expecting this level of dedication or storyline. There were several times during this film that I caught myself thinking, "this is really good". The location used was fantastic, the sfx were not overdone and there was more dialogue than action. I had to laugh at the blurrg reference as the style of this was more of the Mandolorian vein and the original films. Hats off to the people who did this out of love for Star Wars! Looking at Greyzlack comments I have to echo the sentiments of very believable characters, the Imperials were cast very well. The Inquisitor was fantastic.

That moment when the Inquisitor insists he battle him. And how he leaves him behind. Revealing that the Inquisitor does not want it to end. And throw in the tough gal that reminds me or Ripley from the Alien saga. A masterpiece. Waiting for a third.....

If your at war hunting “rebels” you don’t go off chasing them because a person who pops up out of nowhere says “they’re behind you”. Ya kill them dead. You don’t say “fire on my command”. Ya kill them dead. I had to stop watching at this point because it was just boring and I’d rather watch Al Yankovich sing about young Anakin. The effects were great. Costumes were spot on. Location filming was ehh at best. Pine trees on a foreign planet? Sure why not. This was a no go for me.

I am 100% certain that you either know, or very easily could learn How bad they actually are, but for me personally the absolute worst part is that Star Wars became boring. And not only is the whole story and missions we see on screen boring, the characters are boring too, or straight up just bad. But if you enjoy it I am happy for you. The part about it being bad, is objectively true. The part I said about it being boring is just my opinion, so if you actually enjoy the movies continue doing it, but please dont argue that the quality of the movies is good.
