BRO, "She's Gone" is one good tune! Classic rock radio loves this duo! So many songs under the bridge, but it's up to you reactors to give them back their life! THANK YOU!
Hall & Oates are one of the best pop rock duo groups in the 70's-80's. They had a lot of great hits such as "Rich Girl", "Kiss On My List", "Private Eyes", "Maneater", "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)", "Out Of Touch", "She's Gone", "You Make My Dreams", "Family Man", "Say It Isn't So", "Method Of Modern Love" etc.
Managing to stay relevant to record sales and charts for 20 consecutive years (not counting compilation albums) as a group is pretty amazing. I preferred their pre MTV albums over the MTV few and have quite enjoyed Daryl's house (relevant 50yrs after they started).
Daryl Hall, of Hall & Oates, later did a show called "Daryl's House", where a different performer was invited to collaborate with him in his home studio. The episode with Cee-lo Greene and their performance of an old Hall & Oates song, "I Can't Go for That", is one of the best collaborations you will ever experience. You will be dancing the entire time. You're welcome.
I know and I was not a big CeeLo Green fan other than a few songs but right now Daryl Hall is 77 and he still rocks and him and Cee Lo Green together and the band was a whole vibe I can't tell you how many times I've watched it❤❤❤❤❤
Love Hall & Oats- Any of their songs are fire and like someone else said "Darryl's House" in insanely good with all the different stars that sing with him !
Hey AB, This is none other than some more great "Blue-Eyed-Soul" that is smoother than melted better!!! Hall & Oats always "delivers the goods!!!" Sara Smile is a classic vibe that will never grow old!!!
My very first concert (and not the only time i saw them). That Philly soul sound they have had me the first time I heard them and never let me go. Great songwriters and musicians. I've always had a soft spot for saxophone and their songs never disappoint.
In the 90's Darryl Hall had a show called Darryl's House. He had Cee Lo Green on doing a cover of Hall and Oats "I Can't Go For That" You'll love that !!!!
I grew up in the 70’s & 80’s & Hall & Oats dominated the charts & this is my favourite song of theirs. Saw them in concert 10 years ago & they were still awesome. I never get tired o their music. Thanks for sharing.
Hello from Cody Wyoming 😊 you're awesome keep it up... all are welcome to the rabbithole of Hall and Oates. Dimash SOS please please please. He will blow you're mind
Hello AB, I'm so glad you enjoyed listening to Daryl Hall & John Oates they are certainly one of the best-known blue-eyed soul groups from this era. Here's another one of their songs to give a listen, if interested. "Daryl Hall & John Oates - I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) (Official Video)" (by the channel: Daryl Hall & John Oates) I always enjoy chilling with you AB, thanks for sharing.
Hall & Oats have a lot of great songs, I hope you get a chance to do more! Thank yo to your Patron for suggesting them to you, you won’t be disappointed!❤❤ Many great songs were already suggested to you in previous comments! Great react AB! Looking forward to seeing more!❤
Love how this reactor savors the sounds like watching a wine connoisseur sample a fine wine… he listens then absorbs the sound…. and he knows what is good! Enjoy watching your reactions brother!
I would love for you to do more Hall & Oats they are one of my favorite groups of all time! Out of Touch, Maneater, I Can't Go For That, Rich Girl, You Make My Dreams Come True, they have so many hits!! ❤❤
Great song 👍 Written by Hall and Oates. Sara Allen was the girlfriend of Daryl Hall. Eventually, she and her late sister wrote songs with Hall and Oates. Sara Allen, Hall and Oates wrote Maneater, the signature song for Hall and Oates. Hall and Oates is the duo with the most Number 1 songs. The 2 traveled to Australia 🇦🇺, separately. Hall sang with a young band named INXS. A few years later, John Oates performed a sing with Icehouse. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Hall and Oates perform Maneater 2 INXS and Daryl Hall perform Original Sin 3 Icehouse and John Oates perform Electric Blue 4 Paul Young sings Every Time You Go Away.
about 4 summers ago...before what shall not be named.... I had this song blareing from car in the stop and go. this ol white guy got of his car and that ol black guy got out of his car , smiled ..." yep, thats some damned good ol soul music" . We laughed ......good times in the big city.
I was blessed enough to see them twice in 1985 ❤ They were spectacular‼️ My favorite from the late 70's on. Now Daryl does jams at his home studio with all kinds of artists 🥰 Best selling duo of ALL TIME 🎉
Hall and Oats have great songs. Thank you for bringing them to light again. Daryl Hall has videos playing and singing with others musician and artists. It's called Live At Dryls House. Check it out you may like it. They are such great musicians and singers. They have the music soul. 👩🦳🫶👍🎶🎤
They're still great in concert, by the way. Check out "Method Of Modern Love," and "Adult Education." You couldn't go anywhere in the late 70s or 80s without hearing Hall & Oates. Oates wrote an autobiography which is quite good if you want to read up more on the group.
Good evening marathon man... I'll speak of orange juice lightly..if you do.. She's Gone for your next selection from H&O... Sara Smile was the slow dancing seduction we all loved so well..😁... 🌿🌿🌿
Tomorrow would have been my mother's 79th birthday It has been 8 years since I've lost my parents but I remember 1 story toad at my dad's funeral That's Sarah smile with 1 of the songs he used to sing to my mom I know if other songs see sung to her but a surprise because I only thought my mother love that song to learn to my dad used to sing it to her with priceless and a gift of a memory so thank you so much
They were cooler in the 70's than 80's. No kid in high school would see them or think of them. However, saying that, extremely talented band with many hits, and a career that many would kill for. Well deserving of all their accolades. Side note" Watch the film comedy SHES OUT OF MY LEAGUE - the guy has a HALL and OATS cover band.
You must check out Daryl’s House, especially the episodes with CeeLo Green, The O’Jays and Smokey Robinson. The performance of the O’Jays’ I Love Music was spectacular.
The make up was the older groups of the 70s being told to juice up their image coming into the 80s to compete with NuWave, ie Boy George. You also see the image update on Heart and Stevie Nick's also. Trying to stay relevant.
If you want to jump to the rock genre and hear what I consider to be one of the greatest power ballads ever, check out “ Still Loving You” by The Scorpions. Klaus’s voice is pure perfection, I promise it won’t disappoint
I know the song contentwas about a lover, but I played this to calm my baby down when she cried. Her name, not surprisingly was Sarah. Whatever works, right?
I will apologize for the language but sometimes the Grammys are fucked up because Hall & Oates with all their hits have never won a Grammy😢😢😢😢 what the fuck😢😢 just like my main man Anthony Hamilton came out 20 years ago as a new artist with the hit Charlene which is Still rocking to this day and do you know what the only Grammy he ever won was a duet with Al Green and he's been nominated 17 damn times I honestly think the Grammys have their favorites and don't focus on the actual music😢😢😢😢😢
They instantly regretted that album cover. In the mid 70s, androgyny and gender bending were all the rage--led by the Glam rock movement that David Bowie came out of. Their managers were trying to ride that wave, which was already fading, which was ridiculous because Hall and Oates were basically a straight pop/R&B group. Probably because of this album cover, there was a widespread rumor in the 80s that they were gay lovers.
They don't wear makeup. That was just VERY stupid cover art that didn't go with them. They are considered "Blue-Eyed Soul." - (even though John Oates - with the deeper voice, has dark hair & eyes. Basically "white/non-black" soul.) - which was more this & other of their 70s music. (It changed in the 80s as 80s music had changed.) While all/almost all of their songs are good - the one that ties for 1st place with this one in my opinion is "She's Gone."
BRO, "She's Gone" is one good tune! Classic rock radio loves this duo! So many songs under the bridge, but it's up to you reactors to give them back their life!

Maneater is my all time favorite song!
I was ELEVEN years old when I fell in love with Daryle Hall & John Oates. I remember vividly.🤗❤🔴
Darrell Hall was so-so-so hot - the blond
Managing to stay relevant to record sales and charts for 20 consecutive years (not counting compilation albums) as a group is pretty amazing. I preferred their pre MTV albums over the MTV few and have quite enjoyed Daryl's house (relevant 50yrs after they started).
Blue-eyed soul❤
We Listening to the Kings of blue eye soul and for ABtheKreator, that's just artistic makeup for album cover and not their real personas.
Hall & Oates has a treasure trove of music one of my favorites you should listen to ‘Shes Gone’
You would like “I Can’t Go For That” also “She’s Gone”

A few years ago I saw Hall and Oats in concert at the Hollywood Bowl. It was a magical night.

America's greatest blue eyed soul duo. Depending on the day either this or the equally soulful "She's Gone" is my favorite by them. Try that next.
Love, love, love!

Hall used to spend much of his time at Sigma Studios in Philly. Interacting with the magical studio musicians who created Philly soul.

Don't forget "Rich Girl"........
Yell that's a good one. I think that's the one that featured Snoop Dog.
These guys are in the rock & roll hall of fame so they have an extensive catalog.

It may be blue eyed soul, but it's still TSOP.
Need to hear Akon "ghetto" amazing song
Oh, the 70s were the best
Thankfully, that makeup is just for the cover art. That is not their normal look, LOL.
