I'd love to know what you mean by that. While both actors really liked the episode and and enjoyed making it, I am not sure how it can show anything about them as people, given that it shows two very different views of each of them.
@@mcjs8640 I think OP means more that this is the most the two of them got the opportunity to act up some, be more expressive and kind of exaggerated in their portrayals of the characters (which are usually a lot more subdued, almost minimalist) and kind of show their acting chops. X-Files is often (deliberately) a kind of slow, dreary show with soft-spoken dialogue and understated performances, particularly from those two, and the pop culture ideas of them are much wackier than the versions in the show. This episode (and a few others) let them actually be those pop culture ideas the characters came to symbolize in a really fun way.
What I really like about Bad Blood is a small detail really: Mulder came to Scully's room like he wasn't ever going to get his own room. And stayed even after she left, having had a shower in what was actually HER room)) Wonder whether that was intentional or just a little plot hole
+Ksenia Shelymagina No, Mulder is just like that. he has no sense of personal space around Scully and just looking at season 1 when they barely knew each other he was literally on top of her which you could see that she found uncomfortable to begin with and then just got used to. So yeah this is totally mulder.
This episode is so, so funny. Plus, the point of view storytelling is a very clever method and the plot keeps twisting in surprising directions. Gold star!
Don't marathon it, it will break your brain. End to end, the themes are extremely depressing. I tried and got to season 5 and had ideation. It's like...rape, child abuse, alien, raping aliens...it's too much
LOVE this episode to death - the UST here is off the charts. I still ship these two even though they finally did 'get it on'! Also, added bonus in this ep of the the delightfully hunkacious Luke Wilson - yum!
I love that the episode is based off the Dick Van Dycke Show's episode The Night the Roof Fell In. It shows how men and women or two people in general view and interpret an event. Besides it was also just funny to see how they changed the details surrounding the sheriff.

I've noticed how at various times in various episodes,they both would seem jealous if the other was getting/engaging in "flirtatious behavior" from/with someone.It was really cute,before they even started getting intimately involved with one another.
