I tried to do this with a heart shape but I keep getting a message, “this requires a selection of multiple objects. The top object must be a single path or mesh, or symbol containing a single path or mesh”. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, Can you show how to do heart shape with text? Thank you!

Make sure you're text and shape are on the same layer. Put the heart shape on the top then try again :)

Are you able to do this for a design of my own? Or anyone for that matter as I only have iPad version of Adobe Illustrator and this function is not available. Or if anyone knows another iPad or online app to do this on??
