If settlers are pushing people out (for decades now), and currently the govt is arming them with US rifles... Then the Israeli civilians have become valid military targets. I'm no lawyer, but I do believe that is sound military reasoning. Palestinians can fight Israelis, it is not against any international law. They are an occupied territory and they can fight back, it's a documented thing. And since civilians are the ones attacking them... It's hypocritical to call them "terrorists."
