I have some questions regarding 'Character Creator UE Control Rig' vs 'IClone Unreal Live Link'?
    1. What are the different use cases between this 'Character Creator UE Control Rig' and 'IClone Unreal Live Link'?
    2. Why would i use one of these tools over the other?
    3. If they are used together, in what way would they be used in unison?
This tool does look awesome! I can't wait to look more into it!

You can think of iClone Live Link as a tool that allows you to instantly transfer the animations you create in iClone to UE as FBX files and save them as UE animation assets. The Character Creator UE Control Rig plugin enables you to further edit these animations within UE. Currently, the biggest difference between the iC CC controller and the CC UE Control Rig plugin is that the CC UE Control Rig plugin allows you to change the body proportions of the character for more exaggerated animation performances. For example, as shown in the getting started video with the soldier example, when the soldier is about to land from a jump, you can stretch the character's legs before landing and suddenly retract them at the moment of landing.

Amazing work!! Is there a way to batch export motions from UE5 to iClone 8?

U can export multiple animations as FBX from UE, then right-click on your character in the scene > Perform > Perform List Editor, and then batch import animations into the character's perform list.

Question: what is a Body/Face component? In this video you just add the animation directly to the CC_Rig_BP. But in the other tutorial you add a Body/Face component to the "CC_Rig_BP." What's the difference?

      Hi,@danielbecerra6094,
To understand the difference between adding animation directly to ""CC_Rig_BP"" and using a Body/Face component, please refer to the following video for a detailed explanation:

      Hi @michaelb1099,
You can export an AccuLips animation to Unreal by following these steps:
      1. Export the model and animation in FBX, or use iClone to Unreal LiveLink to directly send the animation to sequencer.
      2. Bake the AccuLIP animation onto the Face Rig control track.
      Please refer to this tutorial:

Are you able to use Live Link Face for facial mocap on the imported characters?

    • @reallusion
      @reallusion  3 месяца назад

      Hi @CheyenneRobinson15,
It is currently not possible to drive CC facial expressions with Live Link Face. However, you can use Live Link Face on a Metahuman character and apply its animation onto a CC character. This is possible because their facial rigs share the same structure and naming convention, making them interchangeable.
To achieve optimal animation after retargeting, may still require some fine-tuning. For best results, we recommend using iClone AccuFace or iPhone Live Face capture system.
Watch the following video to see how this was achieved:

I Love how Reallusion is not Afraid to showcase other external animation sources even if they compete with Reallusion’s own actorcore commercial motions.
unlike Daz who desperately tries to pretend that no other Character systems even exist in the hopes that people will stay inside their little limited eco system

This is a terrible tutorial, you go too fast and do not explain anything. I had to slow down play speed, and I still had to go back over things several times. maybe you need to re-do this tutorial and slow down! maybe get someone who knows how to teach things to do it, this guy only knows the software, not how to teach.
