Marionberry is a type of blackberry primarily cultivated in Oregon (which explains why Dodger knew it), and Marion Berry was the infamous crack-smoking mayor of Washington DC in the late 1980s.
It was also created in Oregon. They spliced some berry plants together or something. It was one of the colleges, but I forget which.

what is the definition of a berry

a fruit produced from a flower(the entire flower produces that one fruit) and it contains only one ovary. Technically pumpkins, peppers, bananas (not the modern ones that area made with clippings since they don't produce seeds), etc. are all berries but strawberries aren't since their seeds aren't contained in an ovary inside the fruit, but spread around the shell.
I love how the animator so perfectly captures their looks that, the moment I saw the opening picture on this, I knew it was Angry Joe without reading or being told, just instant recognition. Well done, haven't even started watching it at this point. Nailed it.

If you look at Joe and pause just before he says "Goji berries!" the first time, he has two mouths in the same frame. One in the normal place on on his forehead. Good animating, chap. I mean it. Most people wouldn't think to do something like that to increase the fluidity.

Look, I work nights in the Walmart produce section. We only stock 4 kinds of berry: Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, and (the most popular) Strawberry. How do you expect kids to name 3 more than WALMART stocks?!

Now, it may look peculiar and you might say: "Hey, tomatoes and cucumbers and paprika can't be berries! They don't even have berry in the name!". The definition of a berry is the following: A berry is a kind of fruit that has multiple seeds, has a fleshy and juicy "fruit wall" and is produced from a single flower containing one ovary.
Now, I might not have put this in a very understandable way because... well, I'm translating roughly from a school book about food, fruits and vegetables.
So next time someone tells you to name a couple of berries, tell the about cucumbers, paprika, tomatoes, grapes and all the other more commonly known berries.
