Nice review on Qatar Airways economy class! I know lots of people cover their Business products, so its nice to see what to expect for the common flyer!
So true and the price for Q Suite are no so cheap these days. I remember once seeing £1600 in Business to Australia. Many years ago 💷 Solid product in economy, decent food and as always good in flight entertainment.
I agree. Common fliers want to know the real thing, not some fancy business/first-class that only resonates with a small number of fliers. I last flew with Qatar in 2019. Good to know that the food is still decent 🙂
@@random1883 I don't often turn my head round but I probably should to get an idea. Yes I don't think it was full but nearly. Qatar currently is doing very well in terms of load factor. The flights to Bangkok are particularly full 💺
The 3-4-3 seats across ‘club’ refers only to the B777.3-4-3 seating does not exist on any B787.The original B787 was meant to be 2-4-2,8 across, not 9 as they are now on most airlines except JL.3-4-3 on a B 787 would not work ,as the 3-3-3 they have today is hardly sustainable for minimal comfort on long hauls. If anyone knows about a carrier that flies the B787 with 3-4-3,plz let me know,it would def make it to my black list.Nice video, thanks.
Your Statement regarding Seat Configuration is wrong. Flew with Quatar Düsseldorf Doha in January this year in 3 4 3 Service, Food was fare away from World-class. Never again, Emirates is better
@@vollebreitseite4412that’s a 777 that you flew on. Not 787. His statement is accurate. There are no 787s with 3-4-3. Only 3-3-3 except for JAL which flies 2-4-2. If you see 3-4-3, it’s a 777 (On Qatar). Or an a380.
You need to travelling in Business Class or have status but I did find this extract on one of the reviews website. If you don't have access to a lounge with free showers, you can pay to use the Doha Airport shower facilities at the Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Centre or the Be Relax Spa
My bag wasn't particularly heavy at 10kg so wasn't an issue. As for the cabin crew it all depends. They are human so some will be better than others. I didn't feel very chatty by the end of the second flight. Seat was as comfortable as you can get for economy. Food was good but there is only one option for the snack.
So to access the One World lounges you must have One World Saphire or higher status. Showers are complimentary in the lounge 👍 There aren't many in the south lounge though.
@@JohnMc1722 this raises a good question. Are there any airlines where you've flown them in economy and thought god they were good? Recently flew Emirates on a 2hr route and was stuffed after the meal.
@liftoffandtravel I have sometimes flown with Sri Lanka Airlines and found their food to the best of any airline I've flown, I wouldt day the flight experience was the greatest though. Most economy flights are much the same and for me it's the food and preflight experiences that separate them
@liftoffandtravel yeah I have doha where I work to Bangkok where I live sometimes have old style lay flat seats and the smaller planes have 2 x 2 with only reclining big seats.
Is that in addition to another bag? I took only a rucksack and that was fine but also checked in a suite case. However I have status. If you type in to Google Qatar carry on baggage you might be able to find the specific sizes
2:32 More forgiving? The 3-3-3 on the B787 Is just as bad, if not worse and tighter than the 3-4-3 on the B777. The B787 was designed for a 2-4-2 config, just like how the Boeing 777 was designed for the 3-3-3. The best Is A350, it’s wider than the B787 but slightly narrower than the B777, airlines cannot fit in that extra seat without making it extremely uncomfortable, hence it has a spacious 3-3-3 config, unlike the 787.
That's a good summary 👍 there isn't a lot of difference width wise but particularly on airlines like AA who cram in 3:4:3 it's noticeable. Can't even put your arms down by your side.
@@asada9593 good question! If you can get the exit row then the Boeing 777 is so spacious! However the 787 has a 3:3:3 layout throughout which is better. It's also more modern. So probably this one ✈️
@@mancunianinlondon Definately worth considering but what is the cost of the upgrade to extra leg room. Qantas wanted $150 😨 for a throne seat and a recent 2hr flight with Wizzair was $30... If you've got money to spare then great but if not they are all the same just extra leg room. So debatable.
Which plane did you fly with Emirates? Not tried Etihad in economy. We did recently fly the A380 with Emirates and we were impressed with how much food they give you! It was only a 2hr flight as well.. will be trying Business class later in the year. I admit Qatar aren't perfect but we won't go in to that.
Did Etihad Business from AD to KL. amazing service. Kuwait Airlines is excellent. I also look at the service of the staff, the airport experience. I just found Hamed to be extremely busy it was simple to navigate with good signposts. The cubicles had a massive queue seriously? Emirates was Dubai to Bangkok to Sydney the staff were first class the absolute pinnacle.
