They really listened. I'm really impressed. Bec. one of the issue of the heated jacket is the bright led lights. Now you have the option to turn it off. I wish it came with the flat battery instead of the regular size m12 battery.
Mark Thomas Builder, part time Model! Lol I am really liking that new Power Source and App control. I have to agree with You on your older Jacket. I do not own one, but have tried it out before. I just never bought one. Maybe this Year, coz it is ‘Leo’ approved! ☺ Thanks for rely from the Live vid, and expression of concern. Take care my friend.
Hey George! Hope you're doing well. I didn't mention it in my video, but I lost my original olive green Milwaukee Axis jacket last year and missed it so much that I bought another one. It was discontinued and I searched everywhere online and finally found the last XXL one from some electrical supply place in Oregon. I was so excited to find another once because it fits perfect and is warm (even without the power supply), yet lightweight. I think this new one will be great with the hood and the new optional battery.🙌
Milwaukee doing all these fancy things but The competition has gotten so much better while they remained a bit stagnant. Still no big and tall. Also now people report the newer jackets have weak heated zones
How has it been holding up since you've used it? Or have you used it yet? I know in my state it hasn't yet gotten cold enough in comparison to prior years. Does the new battery pack hold up over time or do the M12 batteries still work better/longer? I'm really interested, but had to return a Milwaukee jacket right after buying it about 1-2 years ago due to a faulty battery not keeping a charge and just didn't take the time to buy a new one, but have been looking into it again. I really like the toughshell ones because of the water-proofness and the sleek look (and how tough the fabric is, it's harder to rip/ruin)!
No problem with all the questions. The cold weather just hit Michigan this weekend, so I really haven't used it too much until today. I found that the new heat zones on the jacket are nice to have. The back heat zone almost doesn't need to be on, since it's the most noticeable and gets too hot after a short time, even on low. If I had my back facing some cold wind, then I may need it. The other zones I kept on medium and was warm. The material is great on this jacket and I like the overall fit, and weight of it. Plus, it's a good looking jacket. I definitely recommend it. I'm not sure of the runtime working as advertised, but I'd say it has a lot of potential to be my go-to jacket this winter.
Great thumbnail, came over from tool show. I will miss the hand warmer pockets but I think as a layering piece this looks like a good upgrade from my tough shell jacket from them
Thanks for stopping by, glad to hear you're a watcher of the Tool Show as well. I'm impressed with this jacket and can see myself wearing it all winter.
I'd say it's a type of hardshell, but not as thick as their original heated jacket. They also had an AXIS nylon ripstop jacket in olive color about 3-4 years ago and this one is definitely thicker than that. Hope that helps!
Have you ever worn heated gear? Would you want this jacket with or without a hood?

Yes, I agree with all you said.
Nice video, Mark, lawns looking good 👍
Thanks! We've had just enough rain this summer to keep the lawn green.
The og toughshell worked great working on RTUs in January up north.
Good to hear it. I'm predicting a cold winter this season.
Nice work Mark! Thanks for the review!
You bet, Ron! I'm a little more excited for winter having this heated technology.😅🙌

(I apologize for all of the questions, don't feel like you have to answer them all, especially if you're too busy!! Thank you for your time! ☺)

When will they add a lower back heat pad, that for us in the building industry is really important
These will be like iPhones, oh they hear you loud and clear but that will be the gen5 14 or 15 pro max with lower back pads
What made you pick the hoodie over the jacket? I am debating!
you can layer over a hoodie.
Can you use these new batteries for the old clothing?
Does it have heat zone on the back? Or just shoulders?
Shoulders, back, and chest. The back heats up fast and is plenty warm on the low setting.
How warm is the jacket without the heat?
It's a warm jacket and has a little weight to it.
Do they make the new hexon with a sweatshirt? Having a hard time confirming
So the app only works with the new flat shaped battery…? Does the app work with the new round battery and holder?
Nope the app only works with the flat one.
Can you charge the battery while in use? I have a sxs and could have a usb charge cord plugged in while i ride.
I don't think this is a pass-through design, but I'll have to test it and let you know.
Can you turn off the glowing logo with the app?
Yes
What’s your weight and height? Can’t decide what size I want
I'm 6-3 and around 235. I like the XL with this one, but sometimes I go with XXL on other brands so I can have longer sleeves.
Is the hoodie water resistant too?
You can wash this on the gentle cycle in your washing machine, so I'd say yes, it's water resistant.
The specs say it is wind and water resistant with DWR finish
Is it hardshell?
I'd say it's a type of hardshell, but not as thick as their original heated jacket. They also had an AXIS nylon ripstop jacket in olive color about 3-4 years ago and this one is definitely thicker than that.

@ Thank you! If its wind and water resistant, it should be good! 👍🏼
They need a hand warmer
They have heated gloves, but an optional hard warmer is a great idea!
