Heated gloves compared for the ability to create heat, retain heat without air movement across the gloves, retain heat when experiencing external air movement, ability to grip, size or puffiness, weight, battery life on the highest heat setting, and price. I bought all the gloves and glove liners to ensure an unbiased review. So, thanks for supporting the channel.

I am a Cuban living in Miami, and we have absolutely zero need for heated gloves. But your videos are so unbiased, informative, inspirational, fun, and well-made that I'd watch any comparison you do no matter how irrelevant the products are to my life. Thank you, Todd, for the many years of hard work you've put in for us. There is no other channel like yours and I only wish I was around from the even earlier days.
Thanks!
Don't forget 'fast-paced'! There isn't a single wasted breath. Lotta info and no filler. I love this no-nonsense approach. As many commenters here confirm and reconfirm, you can make a heated glove video and even people on the equator will watch it if it's full of facts, wit and has good production values.
Dunno buddy, it gets down in the 60s sometimes in winter, lol😂😂😂
I will never use 95% of the products reviewed on this channel but it's so damn interesting to watch. The prime level of content and excellent delivery format just makes it addictive to watch, bravo sir!
Thanks!
I'm not in any way in the market for heated gloves, but videos like this are why I'm subscribed to this channel. Amazing that the gloves costing $100+ less than their competitors perform the best, and I wouldn't have known that without watching this video. I send so many people to your channel when they're in the market for tools because in my view, no one does a better job at giving truly thorough and unbiased reviews of products than you. Great work!
Thank you very much for the positive feedback! It keeps me motivated to keep going!!!
I wasn't in the market for heated gloves either until he mentioned the one pair being thin enough to act as driving gloves.. I can't afford a car with a heated steering wheel but this might be the next best thing
Yeah, I live in Hawaii, but still watched every second :)
@@SparxI0they do make heated steering wheel covers
@@ProjectFarm Suggestion, fully charge and put a nail in each battery... The cheapest glove also uses a lithium polymer battery which are quite volatile!
You left out the most impressive part! The Sabot Heat gloves are the only ones that heat up in 3 seconds! They use a different type of heating technology whereas all the others take around 5 min to really heat up.
I bought the Sabot Heat a couple months ago after trying about 4 different types and was blown away when they heated up in 3 seconds!
Great Video!
Thanks! Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Yeah the near instant heat is nice. Left them in the car once turned them on and within a few seconds they were nice and toasty.
Your heated jacket review was the first time I’d ever heard of heated winter wear. I went out and bought the SabotHeat gloves you tested in this video, and although I'm not sure they would survive hard use (like construction work) they definitely helped me survive last year's horrific winter. Thanks for making life in Winnipeg a little easier.
How can someone from winterpeg never have heard of heated jackets? I've seen them for years over in alberta.
Hey fellow 'pegger. About to buy some for the wife and I. The cold is on its way. Good luck.
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.
@@Deere2154D I’m not plugged into pop culture, if you’ll excuse the pun. I don’t shop much in stores (and especially not in menswear stores like Mark’s) and I don’t watch TV.
@@Ea-Nasir_Copper_Co I don't have TV either, moot point. They have been around for a few years.
As a long distance runner in the northeast with Reynaud's, I was fascinated with this. I've been using Savior gloves for the past 3 years and I have been very happy with them. My advice for those looking to get these, I wear thin liners under them to reduce the sweating into the good gloves. I also purchased larger capacity batteries, because what's a few extra grams when your gloves are already a half pound 😂. Excellent video, as always!!
Interesting!
Disclaimer: I’m a PA.
Reynauds can be threatening to distal extremities, like fingers if exposed for lengthy durations. It’s a vasospasm disorder; therefore, calcium channel blockers can be super helpful for those who spend lots of time in the elements. I’m sure you don’t need blood pressure control but those meds do that as well. Just food for thought. 👍
@@jerishigan6567 ha ha ha ha ha, move to Canada if you think PA is bad
@@Deere2154D PA = physician assistant, genius.
I wonder how wearing rubber gloves would do with the sweating issue? More or less,,,hmm
Once again, you knocked it out of the park! I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos, and how much they’ve influence by buying decisions over the last few months. So glad that I found you. I’m going to order gloves based off your review! Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
As somoene with chronic cold fingers, but enjoys skiing, this was a God send. At the beginning I was wondering "well he needs to test in freezing temps", you did NOT DISAPPOINT, and you took it so much further.
You answered everthing I could think of, and more.
Thank you
You are welcome!
Even though it doesn't feel like it gets too cold where I live during the winter compared to other places, it still gets quite cold. My hands are usually one of the first parts of my body to get cold, so recently I've been considering getting heated gloves. This video came out at just the right time!
Thanks for sharing!
Gets down to a balmy -40 and as low as -60 here. That's Celsius
Our hands are a primary heat dispersal point for us, which is why we see frostbite on hands almost as frequently as we see it on the nose and ears. My hands are usually pretty near the ambient temperature, which is a pretty major problem if it's freezing outside.
@@Deere2154D at those temps were pretty much the same hahaha
Depending what you're doing out in the cold, mittens pretty much always kick the crap out of gloves. Of course that's not helpful if you actually need to do stuff with your fingers. But if you're just spending time in the cold or shoveling or something where you don't need any more precision than "grab and hold", mitts are way better.
I live in one of the colder regions of Alaska and I have poor circulation in my fingers, which can be pretty dangerous in the winter. Thank you for helping me find my next pair of heated gloves!
You are welcome!
You are an asset to the world Todd for the great work you do here. I hope you are receiving more than the good you are putting out.
Thank you!
I've practically never bought any of the items you review, but I still love watching your videos! Great review process, very honest and consumer focused. Appreciate you doing these, and always keeping it focused on the best products regardless of price.
Thanks!
It's really surprising how many of these there are out there. I ended up getting the full leather Savior Heat about a month ago and glad to see that they are one of the better brands, especially for finger heat which is what I primarily was looking for. Another great test/review!
Thank you!
@@ProjectFarm Great job as always. Any plans for drill hole saw sets for drilling in metal? Would love to see it.
Best one, is most economical one! Very thankful for this channel. Most often times it’s hit or miss with the less expensive one, and by the time we find out which of the least expensive works, we’ve spent well over the cost of an expensive one. Great video!
Great point! Thank you!
You can always buy and return if you don’t like … nothing spent, especially when purchased from Amazon…simple
Story of my life, buddy .......
If ProjectFarm did a comparison on nail clippers I'd watch. I would also expect them to be tested to destruction!
Thank you!
“…and the Rexall brand just couldn’t make it through the galvanized roofing nail.”
That's actually a very good suggestion! It's hard to find a nail clipper that doesn't crack the nail, unless you clip them right after showering when your fingernails have some moisture in them. Of course I'm buying $5 nail clippers so that might be the problem...
@@beercanrich99 or you have nail fungus. Nails should never be hard enough to crack.
I bought some Green Bell Japanese ones and while very expensive, they don't leave a nice finish on your nails and you have to file/buff after. Well made and easy to use though!
I recommend testing different brands of air purifiers ranging from small house units to larger air scrubbers. Excellent video as always.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
@@ProjectFarm If you test air purifiers you should test them against a box fan with HEPA furnace filter taped on the back of it.
I absolutely love the tests - covering snowmobile and ranch work conditions with that freezing wind. Totally surprised to see the cheapest do the best, and that's why I love PF's awesome testing!
Thank you!
Those are "waiting for a bus" conditions too.
I don't know where you live but wouldn't call $50 for a pair of gloves "cheap", but the way the SabotHeat are made and with the 3 year warranty, they are definitely a great value. I wonder how long they will outlast the under $10 cheapos I used to buy that hardly last more than 3 months operating my snowblower.
Absolutely awesome test. One of your very best (out of a library of videos which are ALL top notch!). Very cool results, too. I almost always go for high-end stuff -- and your tests prove that, generally, it's not a bad way to go. It's GREAT when it goes the other way. These days I'm VERY RELUCTANT to make a purchase without checking your library for insights. Thanks!
Thank you very much!
I sure hope YT is treating you well because you are truly doing a lot of work to perform these type of tests and giving all of these people really valuable information. Keep up the great work and have a good year. We won't stop watching!
Thanks so much!
I didn't know these were available. And to see the cheapest one kick butt was awesome. I'm going to buy them asap. Thanks PF for another great show. I love this channel.
Thanks!
They got heated everything really. Socks too
I commute on my motorcycle 100 miles a day. Often it’s 35 degrees when I leave in the morning and I have been freezing. Heated gloves and socks are at the top of my list. Awesome review!
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
It doesn't suck to be you! We have 7mos. to ride at best.
Where i live it hasn't snowed in like 10 years and we have zero use for heated gloves, vut your videos are so well made and entertaining that i watched the whole thing, i love your channel.
Thanks so much!
In the future, it may be worth considering doing a segment on durability for heated gloves. I bought an expensive pair once, and they didn't even last a week before I couldn't use them in snow anymore as they had large tears in multiple places. I have a feeling the SabotHeat wouldn't do that well in a durability test.
Thank you for the informative video!
You are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
@@ProjectFarm Yes, please test durability with these. That's why I got the Seirus HeatTouch Hellfire gloves to ski in along with being warm in the Fairbanks winter. I'm confident they'll last many winters and the batteries can be replaced if they wear out (Seirus is a major company and should offer the batteries for many years to come).
"durability for heated gloves" Durability of chinese gloves in general is poor. I had a pair of leather & down mittens from Switzerland that lasted 40 years. Chinese mittens (thin leather and chinese feathers) last me about a year of light use. I recently bought OR Coyote military mittens and multiple mitten and glove liners (made in USA) that allows the liners to be pulled out, swapped, dried. Compare with 1910-1912 Fram expedition: Roald Amundsen bought ordinary leather walking mittens from London shop and wore them to the South Pole and back. A heated sock test would be awesome. Maybe a handwarmer test as well
Great suggestion! Thanks
As a hunter, I agree. Heated socks test would be great!!
Beat me to the suggestion! I know several people that have cold toes and feet.

It would be cool to see a comparison on mini fridges with a separate freezer. I live off grid and power consumption is a huge factor for me. Also cooling capacity and the ability to retain the cold while not running. I see a bunch online for pretty cheap but are they worth it? As always can't praise you enough! Love your channel and everything you do! What you do is VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Thanks!
Great review as always!
PS: You should use Wh instead of mAh for the batteries as the output voltage aren't the same.
Thanks! Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Would be awesome to see a Part 2 with you including heated snowmobile gloves by FXR, Klim, and Fly Racing! Great video as always!
Thank you for the video idea!
Part 2 can include reports from all of us buying SabotHeat gloves today...
I've had my Gerbing S2 gloves for over a decade. They have held up to frequent use with very little wear. They are the best gloves I've ever owned, electric or otherwise! I've bought a couple sets of batteries over the years, but have become a die-hard Gerbing's fanboy. They've seen me through the Rockies up to 13,000 feet, the East Coast, wet and dry weather, and on. They WORK! 🙂
Thanks for the feedback.
Just a heads up the Sabotheat is $40 on Amazon right now.
Great price! We'll see how long until they raise the price.
Just ordered a pair when I found that...
Great job on the tests, Todd. After buying hundreds of dollars of snowmobile gloves over the years, the Milwaukee Tool heated gloves are the best I’ve ever had… Why didn’t you test those? Also, I would’ve liked to have seen how long the batteries last on the low and medium settings besides just the high setting.
I was also surprised no name brand gloves were tested.
How durable are they? Been really considering picking a pair up but don't want to just wear them out quickly.
@@rynelson85I’m interested in this as well
@@rynelson85 they seen VERY durable. At LEAST as durable as the other heated gloves I’ve tried, and I’d say even more. The quality of the materials, the workmanship, and the way they fit, are all second to none!
Wish I had this video like a year ago when I started working it's a true life savory, thanks for the amazing review
You are welcome!
I'm interested in the longevity of use. Like, what's the average lifespan of heated gloves with daily use and seasonal use. I know you won't have time to test that but hopefully someone with experience sees this comment and chimes in. Thanks again for a great video!
I would have liked to see that as well, the way he tested jeans not so long ago.
Great to see a win for the cheapest gloves, just wondering if it'd be possible to have a follow up video with abrasion and puncture results. Unlikely we'd use heated gloves instead of work gloves, but the need might arise when the temperatures drop.
Thanks for the suggestion.
That's what those heated glove liners are for. Glove liners are meant to go *under* non-heated/temperature-ready gloves in order to provide extra protection, heat, oil/grease protection, etc.
@Project Farm I would also say cycle times as well. How many times they can be charged and ran before they start going bad. Cheap ones might only make a month of use and crap the bed and more expensive ones may last longer. Even say cycle them all a couple times a month and revisit next winter
@@Deere2154D Batteries are replacable, so even if the $50 gloves batteries go bad after a month, Id wager you could still replace them with better or even larger batteries and still have value. The bonus on these is the fact the batteries can be taken out, unlike many electronics.
@@Typh3621 I'm not talking battery, I'm thinking heating elements
Fabulously interesting, unbiased and useful Project Farm content as always. Thanks for the hard work!
Videos like this show how invaluable this channel and your time are. Your testing methods are top notch as always. I would love to see a rechargeable headlamp comparison video, so many die very fast in the cold and dont stand up to abuse.
Thanks and you are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
It would be cool to see these options compared to one more low tech option to see if it's all actually an upgrade. Like some regular gloves with one of those heating pouches in them. It's like when you included some antique tools in previous tool comparisons.
Thanks for the suggestion.
As a Canadian that deals with sub zero Temps, as low as -60°F the biggest thing is it being warm enough to warm your hands or keep them warm. To me if I could turn them on after working without gloves to change a hydraulic line or wiring and they warmed my hands up that's the main thing. Finger tips are also always the first thing to get cold not the back of your hands so makes sense that most heat up fingers more.
Thanks for the feedback.
This would have helped me a lot back in 2014/2015. One thing I will say is that a lot of heated gloves aren't very sturdy and if you work in a warehouse freezer, you might end up tearing your gloves relatively quick due to the nature of your work. I just hope they make the gloves a bit more tougher so people can really get their money's worth out of them outside of being heated.
Thanks for sharing!
Good idea heated WORK GLOVES 😤
I wonder if tough heated gloves even exist lol. Hard enough to find real durable normal gloves
I was sorta wondering about something like that with the glove liners. Putting out decoys in the snow you want both a warm AND dry glove. I wonder if a heated glove liner inside of a waterproof shell would be the way to go.
😮 having worked in freezing temperatures for 30 years me and my coworkers can say with 💯% certainty heat in the palm or back of hand is meaningless it’s only about the fingers nothing else matters thought everyone should know this GREAT VIDEO 👍
Thanks for sharing!
I got a pair of SabotHeat from Amazon yesterday after this aired for $39.00. Today they are $30 more. Early bird gets the worm. My hands get cold blowing snow. Worth a try for the price. Thanks.

Great review! It's uncanny that you always test the things on my wish list. Have you ever tested voltage meters?
Not yet! Great suggestion!
So I bought the SabotHeat gloves within hours of this video being released. I will say that they are in no way waterproof (at least mine weren't), they didn't heat the fingertips, but they did warm my hands (except the finger tips), and the batteries last a very long time per charge. But for 50 bucks I'm happy for what I bought.
Thanks for the feedback.

I would like you to test 1/2 drive breaker bars. Specifically, which design is stronger, the bar with the square drive in the middle of a forked handle, or the style where the square drive portion is a separate cap that attaches to the outside of the handle. I enjoy your tests, keep up the great work!!!!

The palm and back of the hand don't really need active heating since it is pretty easy to just add extra insulation there and let blood flow take care of the rest. Fingers are where maintaining temperature in extreme cold can be difficult, especially if you want gloves thin enough to retain some dexterity. The first part with thermal camera is a bit silly since lack of heat coming out of the glove from lack of direct heating there doesn't necessarily mean the glove would have a "cold spot" there as that would depend entirely on how well insulated the area actually is. I don't remember ever having problems with my palm or back of the hand getting cold before my fingers with regular gloves.
Thanks! I purchased the Hompres heated gloves (something I didn't even know existed) and used them today. My hands didn't get cold on the lowest heat while I was outside for almost 2 hours.

I struggle with my hands in the cold - I was a dumbass in my youth and severely frost bit them, they have gone straight from warm to intense pain whenever exposed to cold ever since. Its gotten worse as I got older, and I've been toying with the idea of getting a pair. This was definitely the universe sending me a message.

SabotHeat: These are unisex gloves and are difficult to gauge based on their recommended sizing measurement, 1st bought a large based on their sizing, they were too tight, returned and bought X-Large which were 2 cm larger, they were still tight, only slightly bigger, fingers are short and don’t reach the base btn fingers. I discharged the batteries before returning, although indoors on high setting, it took 6 hours. Got the XX-Large today, they still could have been bigger, so if you measure large or X-Large get the XX-large or XXX-Large if they stock them.
Purchased the Zabot gloves because of this review and they are AWESOME!!! Had avoided buying heated gloves out of fear of disappointment and the cost. I got them on sale for $40!!

Thank you for your detailed review! I had bought a pair of Ororo’s before seeing your video, and was not impressed wuth them at all. I ride motorcycles, in all types of weather so even though I live in Mobile AL, I've been thinking about getting some heated gloves. I've shied away from the cheaper gloves and couldn't justify the expensive of the higher priced ones due to the limited use I'd get from them. Now, I know that there are reasonably priced heated gloves out there and will probably purchase some SabotHeat gloves. I was impressed that the cheapest gloves held better temps AND had a longer battery life while not being as puffy as most other brands. Great review, Thanks!

Received my SabotHeat gloves yesterday and took them out for a spin this morning clearing off the drives and sidewalks. They warm up quickly and are pretty comfortable. BUT their sizing appears to run a little on the small side. I followed the measuring directions on the Amazon page and ordered the recommended X-Large. I usually wear large or X-large depending on the company, so figured X-large would be fine. And they are fine--but only just. Any smaller and I'd have to send them back for a 2X. But for 40 bucks this was a great purchase.
Thanks for sharing.
I just received my SaboHeat's yesterday and will concur, the sizing does run a little small. I ordered the XL and I think the XXL would have fit me a bit better. Gets hot quickly though.
Yeah, I can see that. I hesitated a lot before chosing mine and glad I measured my fingers AND the breadth of my hand. I also checked my fingers configuration and settled for what happened to be half a size larger, and they fit well, although like you say they appeared at first to be slightly on the tight side. But after a day of use, they fit perfectly. Give it a day or two of use and you should feel it fit better. If not, SabotHeat customer service should be able to fix this in a jiffy, they have great customer service from the amazon reviews I've read.
@@johnnyjimj They're fitting pretty well around my hand, but I think the fingers are on the short side.
@@GeekRedux You are probably right, you probably have long "pianist" fingers like my son, he has a harder time getting gloves that fit him well.
I’m looking to buy a new miter saw and I always search your channel before buying something but I couldn’t find one for miter saws. Thanks for your honest reviews.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Perfect. I’ve been looking for heated gloves and here comes Todd to the rescue. 👍🏻
Thanks!
How do you keep your vierwers constantly entertained? Bravo Project Farm. For sure one unique channel. You should do a video on soldering torch heads, pipe wrenches or brake pads. Love your videos, A+ quality content. I don't speak alone when I say we will tune in every week.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
Best reviews on the internet! VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Thanks so much!
Todd, Thank you for a review I did not even know I needed! I may get a pair of the SabotHeat's just to have. Sometimes it gets down to the low 20's Fahrenheit here in NorCal
You are welcome!
Loved your video when I watched it as I was looking for gloves. Your video was up for less than a day when I saw it. I bought the SabotHeat gloves. They were great! But the only issue was this did not last. After two months of a lot of use wearing them while snow clearing the heating elements are not nearly as warm anymore. I had my wife try them when they were brand new (too big for her but she could still get a good idea of how warm they are.) I had her try them again when I noticed them not getting as warm. Without saying anything to her I asked her to try them again. I told her they felt a lot looser than when new. She did not feel a fit difference but when I turned the heat on for her she commented, after a minute they are not getting as warm and asked if I had charged the batteries (fully charged). So they do still work but the amount of heat they put out has diminished. My best guess is it has dropped around 20%. I even swapped batteries from left to right and no change. They do have a 3 year warranty so I will do some more testing and decide from there. I will let you know what I happens. I do understand you are not doing long term testing. This is why I am letting you know so you get some other information.

And another great video! Usually you save me money, but this time you are costing me money! I already own the Milwaukee’s but now I have to go buy the heated gloves that work!
Another great one! Luckily I snagged a pair of sabot heat before they SOLD OUT on Amazon! Thanks for your dedication, to us, getting value for our dollars!
Thanks and you are welcome! Glad you got a pair!
Purchased the SabotHeat gloves solely based on this review and must say I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the purchase. THANK YOU! Maybe you could do which is the best heated socks sometime? I LOVE your videos!
You are welcome! Glad to hear! Thanks for the video idea.
Don't you find they heat the top of the hand more than the inside, especially when you grab things? It's my only pet peeve with them. But in all, a great product well worth the money, for sure.
@@johnnyjimj We ride SxS’s a lot in the winter and my wife’s hands now stay warm and she’s happy. So we aren’t really grabbing anything. I bought them knowing this going in and got exactly what I expected. If I were using them for any other purpose I would have chosen differently. As you can tell by my first comment. It’s her feet that get cold now. Lol
@@pfdiehl true and you're right, they do the job, I was comfortable for the first time blowing snow in -15°C weather this weekend. As for your wife (and yourself), may I suggest the Auempress heated socks on Amazon, I got some with the sabot heat order, they work well and they heat the bottom of the toes, where it counts the most. They are a bit large though, for small feet they might not fit right, they have limited elasticity, I wear a man's size 10 and they are perfect for me.
Can we please get a video made over the Top 10 economical Near Infrared Light Therapy devices?
The red light therapy stuff absolutely works! It works so well that there’s plenty of grifters getting into the space. It’d be amazing to have you conduct a shootout as to the best one.
You can measure the following:
1.) EMFs from 4-6 different distances.
2.) Radiation output from same distances.
3.) Total true wattage of each panel.
4.) Test the ACTUAL wavelength of the different bulbs on each device. This is where a LOT of lying and grifting has occurred in this space.
5.) Leave units on continuously to see how quickly they burn out if at all.
6.) You can also see if there’d be a big wattage drop as it ages; therefore, less efficacious over time.
7.) Torture testing them in high heat environments.
What I’m essentially alluding to is seeing if they could survive usage in either an infrared sauna or a traditional sauna. (e.g. 160*F +)
I will say from my experience I like heated gloves that run off regular batteries for the most part. Far easier to keep some rechargeable AA or so batteries going than to rely on lithium ones. I will also say most heated gloves rarely work if your hands are cold imo. They keep your hands warm, but if they are ice cold to begin with it takes a long time to warm up.

I didn't even know heated liners were a thing; I need durable flame retardant gloves for my work, so liners are the perfect solution. Thank you for your excellent testing and graphs.
Thanks and you are welcome!
Will never have a use for these, but still have to watch for your gold standard of product testing!
Thanks for watching!
